We had gone to the one in West Omaha, but this one is superior in my opinion. The atmosphere is bustling with energy and the food was all very authentic. We didn't have to wait too long even going on a Friday night without a reservation. Our waiter was efficient and very helpful. I always love sitting down with some complimentary chips & salsa. I was genuinely surprised by how large the food portions are here. I ordered three tacos, thinking it was going to be a lighter meal, but I was so wrong. Okay this restaurant is AMAZING!!! I can't even begin to tell you because I don't know where to start! The staff is top tier friendly, accommodating, helpful, the list goes on. The food is chefs kiss! I had green enchiladas that you could mix and match so I had chicken and cheese. It came with rice and beans as well. It was so much food! Even though you want to eat it all I had to take some home. Their kids meals come with a free ice cream and the kids get to go to a topping bar to choose what they want, which my kids loved! Our waitress even took my kids to the topping bar for me so I could stay enjoying my meal. They also have a shaker margarita that was BOMMB!! We decided to try this place on a Friday night. We arrived early and got a booth - it was full with a line by the time we left. Waitstaff was pretty busy and that explained the wait to order and lack of utensils after the food arrived. I tried the fajitas Texana after reading reviews and found that they were pretty bland and served with grocery style tortillas (likely made with stabilizers to give it a spongy feel). My son was pleased with his Cuban Torta and my husband liked the carnitas. The biggest plus was the serving size of every dish was enough for 2 meals for most people. I ordered a lunch combo and got a chile relleno and taco for $10.50! Cheaper than fast food and way more delicious! Also got nachos for the kids but we ended up eating most of it. The chips are light, fresh, and crispy! And the nachos were loaded with a lot of meat. They did not skimp on the toppings. They have a full bar. Actually one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. Orders basic tacos and rice and beans. Asked what was on the tacos, ok remove all add cilantro and sour cream. Pretty simple right? The guy asked me probably 5+ times what I wanted on the tacos, he couldn't comprehend what I was asking for some reason. Ordered queso as well, it was ok, nothing special, the salsa tasted like ketchup. Also ordered a margarita, it was the best thing I had all visit but not super. A different waiter comes out with three plates that are not ours, he kept demanding that they were ours, I ended up pointing out he has 3 meals when there's only 2 of us to get him to comprehend. Ok, then our real food comes out, tacos had everything on plus some other things the waiter didn't mention came on it, they did add cilantro but no sour cream. I explain AGAIN what I want on my tacos. The bring out the wrong order AGAIN, I again explained what I wanted. Remove everything, add sour cream and cilantro. Finally it came out correct. My friend got the enchiladas, she said was very good, turns out the used the same enchilada meat and flavorings in the beef taco, I personally would not have ordered enchilada tacos, took one bite. The place is huge and there is plenty of seating and I loved the cute decor .The cleanliness was top notch and it just looked like a very inviting space for a casual meal. I am always a big fan of comfortable seating and picked a quiet booth for the four of us . we all got lagers and for food we ordered Chicken Primavera and Fried Taco Birria along with the Guac and chips . Tried for the first time this weekend. Ordered carryout. I told my husband we ne need to plan to go back next weekend. Ordered the Al Pastor Quesadilla for my toddlers to share. That ended up being one of the best things we ordered! There was more meat than there was cheese and the al pastor meat was AMAZING! I was eating off my toddler's plates. The fajita bowl without rice seemed like a carb conscious option. I could not believe how big it was! Definitely enough for two meals! And I really appreciate that it has broccoli in it! Had a great first experience here. The staff were fantastic. They had lots of energy, so quick, and even ones around us were so funny interacting with other customers. Free chips and salsa is always a hit. We also got the cheese dip which was good. I got a margarita flight which was fun. It had mango, peach, watermelon and raspberry and my husband ordered a house lime. He ordered the fajitas for his entree and could not stop talking about how good they were. I ordered the California Burrito with steak which was massive. I saw tons of people on OFL recommended it and it definitely did not disappoint. We enjoyed our first visit here so much, I was shocked to find I hadnt written it up. Staff is super friendly and attentive, always a plus. Chips and salsa, always a downfall for me, were amazing. The salsa is fresh tasting and the chips are so light -- I could fool myself into thinking I wasnt really eating that many. Margaritas are standard, which is ok by me. Mi esposo had a watermelon marg, which he enjoyed. Im tempted to try the margarita flight next time we go. There are so many great things on the menu, it's hard to choose, but this trip I went with Enchiladas Verde. Nice chunks of chicken, great sauce, standard beans and rice. I had enough for lunch leftovers. Hubs had a combination meal -- shredded beef taco and a quesadilla. There were no leftovers for him! Went with a group of 9 on a Sunday early evening. We had reservations and our table was mostly ready when we arrived. We ordered some queso dip for an appetizer. Was good and also loved their thin and not too salty chips. Salsa was good as well. Service was very quick and friendly although we gave up on getting utensils for everyone and ended up taking them off other non occupied tables. I had the shredded beef flautas. They were perfectly fried but the beef could have definitely used more flavor. Tried dipping in salsa and queso and that helped. The refried beans were delicious!! Was going to order a cheese and onion enchilada but was told the cheese inside of them is mozzarella. Can't say I ever had a mozzarella enchilada. I skipped it but who knows...maybe it's good!! This was our first time here and it was amazing! The chips and salsa were one of our favorites compared to other Mexican restaurants. Hubby and I both ordered the Fajita Burrito, mine was chicken and his was steak. They were both filled with tons of meat and veggies. I really wanted to love this place because it's so close and we have few good Mexican restaurants to choose from. The tacos I received were very bland and the shells were nearly burnt. I think they needed to change the oil they fried it in... but my son liked his quesadilla. The margaritas were average. Service wise, it wasn't bad, but I wasn't impressed. There were just little things that didn't happen, like cleaning the table or refilling drinks. We waited around a lot to get our initial order, for our food, and for a refill on water. First off I'm not a big fan of the normal corn chips at Mexican restaurants (I prefer flour chips), but these were very good. Light & crisp and not too salty. Food had absolutely no flavor, I tried to eat it but it tasted so bad we basically took 3 bites and ended up paying the check and leaving. The service was also questionable, we asked if we could get a mild salsa to which the waitress brought out a salsa and kept trying to convince me to try while giggling. I told her it looked like there was a lot of seeds from peppers in it and that normally is an indicator of a spicy sauce. She kept giggling and just said try it, it's mild. I took one bite and it was extremely spicy, I made her aware I had a medical condition that flares when I eat food that is too intense and she shrugged it off and I saw her laughing as she went back to the kitchen/bar. When your favorite Mexican restaurant burns down it is hard to find a replacement. I have come to grips with the fact that my idea of finding the perfect potato and pea enchiladas at another restaurant is just a pipe dream so I have decided to just look for Mexican restaurants that I want to visit more than once. This spot on south 168th (almost to 360) is spot I have returned to multiple times. I don't have a favorite menu item but I have been happy with the different things I have tried. We shared the street corn, which was listed a desert, but was a good sized portion and delicious. I had the carnitas tacos and my husband had the cartinas. The portions were huge and meals were super flavorful. The restaurant was located in the strip mall, but had a great cozy feel. There were list of tables and booths. The bar has some seating too. Tried delivery fajitas which can really be an awful experience but I was craving them and they sounded good so I took a risk and was pleasantly surprised! I got so much food for my $20 fajitas! Loved that I could add extras like potatoes! My only gripe was I ordered one that said it included queso and they didn't give me any. I also think with the amount of filling they gave I needed more fajita tortillas, I had to finish it with a fork. It was delicious though and I can only imagine it would be even better in restaurant.
