Went in on a Sunday evening and we were seated right away! They have a large menu, so it was a bit overwhelming to try to decide what to get. It all sounded good! Our table of four ordered the cheese dip appetizer, drinks and our main meals. All was very very good. My husband and I split the fajitas jalisco. The portions are big so it was enough for two. Loved it! My only suggestion is that they give more tortillas with that entree. There's so much fajita meat that you need maybe 2 more tortillas to finish all the meat! So so good! Also it wasn't greasy or fatty but I could tell the quality of the ingredients was good, as well! The prices are reasonable and the service was friendly and prompt. You know a Mexican restaurant has some "chops" when you see servers and patrons who have that heritage working and eating there! Eatable but not authentic Mexican at all. I guess if you've never had Mexican food in Mexico (or Southern California) then you think this might be good. This place not only does not make their own tortillas, they use tortillas out of a bag that felt stale. They slap meat on the tortilla and call it a taco. Absolutely laughable. Stopped in to try a new Mexican restaurant in Gretna. I think that the Sarpy County community will embrace this restaurant for some time to come. Extensive menu with traditional Mexican recipes coupled with seafood and vegan options. My wife tried a combo of a chile rellono, tamale, rice and beans. Rice and beans a home run. Relleno cooked through with crema cheese. A bit runny, but delicious. The tamale was good, but needed a bit more meat. Overall good dish. I had the carne asada tacos with rice and beans. Loved the rice that also had tidbits of corn and peas. Authentic. Great flavor. The house salsa was very mild. Asked for the hot stuff. I was not disappointed. House margarita on the rocks was ample. The molcajete alegre was one of the single greatest Mexican entrees I've had in the Omaha area. Little pricey, but it feeds two easily. Their table salsa is really good too. The Diablo shrimp was actually spicy, which was much appreciated. Service was slow, but extremely friendly. It was a busy Friday night, so that's to be expected. I want so badly to like this place. It's conveniently located and has a nice outdoor area. You can usually get seated quickly and the staff is friendly. I have been a handful of times and each time I go I am reminded of why I don't frequent this place. The drink prices have gone up since the last time I was there. I thought they were pricey for a Mexican restaurant ($10 - $15). The last time I went I had ordered the taco salad but it had some strange cheese sauce that turned the salad into more of a soup. So this time I ordered the salad without the cheese sauce and asked for just the shredded cheese instead. I also asked for no sour cream. When I got the salad it had no cheese sauce like I asked but no shredded cheese either and a big dollop of sour cream on top. I didn't say anything, I just pulled the top of the salad off. The salad was bland and barely edible. And it was served on a piping hot plate which I discovered when I touched the plate to pull it to my side of the table. I quickly pulled my hand back. The waiter saw me do this and then said, "Watch out. The plate is hot." Ya, no duh. I'm not sure why a salad would be served on a scalding hot plate - but whatever. My friend ordered the beef burrito and the chicken enchilada meal. She said that she actually was served two enchiladas. (They looked identical and were both prepared with enchilada sauce.) We called the waiter over and he assured her that one was an enchilada and the other was a burrito. Then he disappeared and we waited for 30 minutes for him to return to our table with our bill. She said her meal was also very bland. It's too bad. I like to support local places but the food here is just sub par and I have yet to have a good experience. read more

We had stopped for dinner last night. We had been there before and enjoyed the food so decided to go again. It was busy that night but didn't mind waiting. We put our name down and was told a 20 min wait. The lobby was full just hung out. As the lobby thinned of people we noticed we were the only ones left standing waiting. During that time 3 other groups of the same size(5) came in after us and were seated before us. As we were standing there waiting they kept calling out names of other people that had left while staring at us. Keep in mind we are the only ones in lobby at this time. Never approached us or asked our name to check their list. Finally I approached the desk and they had written our name at the bottom on the previous page and had turned the page on their list. Gave the excuse that they didn't want to put a chair at the end of a table to block things even though the table right by the checkin counter had a chair at the end of that table extended into the lobby. Finally sat us after I addressed the front desk. Next we sat at the table for 30 min and no one ever came to our table. They didn't even acknowledge us. While waiting 2 other tables were seated around us after we were and their drink orders were taken. During that time a waitress and waiter looked right at us and walked on by. We decided to get up and walk out after letting the front desk know. I was very disappointed as we had been there in the past and enjoyed the food. I can't rate the food this time.......AS WE DIDNT GET ANY NOR EVEN WATER! There are many choices for authentic Mexican in town so I will think twice next time after this visit.
