The Waterfall is one of those bars that has the image of being slightly better than average, and sometime it is. I have met friends there a couple times to watch car racing. I like layout with the giant waterfall and one giant screen in the center. The game room on the other side of the wall. The Waterfall is located in a mostly affluent area and on a golf course and seems to get a lot of golfers, or regulars who the staff will provide with priority service. Don't be put off if the bartender does talk to or take your order you right away, she is probably busy talking to one of the regulars and she will get to you eventually, you just need to be patient. In summary: -The food is okay. About average for bar fare. -The service is inconsistent. It depends who is working and if there regulars there because they will get priority service over people they don't know. -The ambiance is slightly better than other sports bars in omaha. Typical sports bars have all the TVs turned and blasting the volume to the point where you can't even talk. The waterfall is not that bad by comparison. read more

By far one of my favorite places to go! The salads and wings were top tier and the service and staff was fast and friendly.

Food is consistent, staff tries their best. But, with ALL the TV's in the place they typically have only 1 thing showing on ALL of the TV's or screen savers!?!? Someone needs to pay better attention to what you have on the TV's. read more

Location & size gives this place potential but it has been in a position as the only option neighborhood area bar/pub for some time. Great pizza / good food but it's very LOUD in that there is nothing to absorb the sound in either room & it can make it hard to talk (Watch out when a bachelorette party comes in.). Also avoid throwing $ in the jukebox bc they'll skip songs from behind the bar or turn it off altogether mid-song if it's not what they wanna hear. read more

We came in right before the grill closed after being at a 9 hour wrestling tournament that ran out of food. They let us order food and even tack on an extra to go order for our wrestler. Sad! Sarpy county dive bar. Mediocre appetizers that were quite bland. No soundproofing in the ceiling so the sound bounces off of the floor. Bar mostly has the beers of the foreign-owned Anhueser-Busch. The saddest aspect is the theme: Waterfalls. Patrons are subjected to a waterfall that you could buy at the NFM. And then pictures of real waterfalls from around the world are in the menu. No picture of Smith Falls in Nebraska. Why? We can admire a Husker football on the wall but nothing of our natural Husker heritage. Addendum. For some inexplicable reason a wedding party stopped here. One bridesmaid was falling out of her top so that was somewhat amusing. At least no visible tats with this crew so not completely clueless. I always really liked this place, but I agree the place is often too loud. Glad to see other reviews agree, because others feedback is often "then you're too old." Strange, post Covid quarantine this place is busier than ever. I can't blame The Waterfall for being crowded, but it's sad that I see the place so packed. We were headed to Roja for dinner and drinks but after seeing the wait, we went elsewhere. Somebody in my group had driven past Waterfall Lounge and suggested that we try it. It was a ways away but we decided to make the trip anyway. It gets its name from a waterfall that's behind the grill. Other than that, it was a standard bar with flat screens tv's on the wall and probably a bit too dim. The menu was small (appetizers, salads, burgers, and pizza). I ordered The Angel which was a taco pizza. My friends ordered The Niagara (looked like a combo pizza) and the five alarm burger with fries. My small pizza was 10" and more than enough for a meal. Not bad for $8. Overall, the pizza was just okay. I've had better taco pizzas (Godfathers still is the stand out) and I've had worse. It had a refried bean base, hamburger, cheese, lettuce, cheddar and a side of salsa and sour cream. The service was good not great but the place was fairly busy. All-in-all, it was a decent experience but probably not a place I'd go back to again. Part of that is because I live on the other side of town and it wasn't that memorable. read more

The food here is surprisingly good for bar food. Their buffalo chicken sandwich is the best I have had in Omaha. Their BBQ chicken pizza is also amazing. The service is horrific. It's sad because if I owned this place and watched how the staff worked I would freak out. You sit with empty drinks while the staff hangs out. It must be a fun place to work. Laminate wood floor makes this place loud. VERY LOUD! Can't even converse across the table normally. I mean Loud! Service: meh. I usually will go to the Waterfall Lounge on Tuesday nights when they have half-priced burgers and great pitcher and draw specials. I believe that they have specials throughout the week but do not know for sure because I usually only make it there on Tuesdays. It has a wide range of customers from blue-collar workers grabbing a few drinks after work to the country club groups that seem to make their way in from Tiburon Golf Course just down the road. No matter who comes in though it has a very friendly atmosphere and the groups intermix after sharing a few cigarettes together out on the patio. All in all it is a great place to grab a bite to eat and the tab always seems lower than what you expect after having several pitchers or draws because of the great drink specials. read more

This place is ok. Similar to other reviews, the food is good. Service sucks! Bear in mind, this is in a pretty affluent area of town. Sits right next to one of the more expensive golf clubs in the area. We live not to far away and had never been here before. We gave it two tries...The first visit was worse than the second, very slow service, and it seemed like the employees kind of just did whatever they want. Seemed to be really hanging out with the individuals dressed in golf attire (maybe their regulars?). Listen, I get it, if your in a business and have regulars maybe you will give those folks a great deal on their tab from time to time, because surely they spend a lot of money with you, but at least give your new guests some attention...they may become regulars! As a previous reviewer said, the waterfalls are weird. But honestly, the food is really good and I can overlook the decor for good food, however the service really needs work. I'd like to say that I'm disgusted with Waterfall Lounge and their willingness to facilitate the spread of COVID 19. At a time when numbers are spiking and Nebraska just went red after doing so well, this establishment is part of the problem. Don't order take out from this restaurant. If you dine in then you will be well aware that NO ONE is wearing masks or gloves, to include kitchen staff and you can eat at your own risk because you are informed. If you get curbside, you would not be informed and that is unfair. It got one star because they have a great view into the kitchen where I had the luck to see kitchen staff standing maskless about 2 feet apart having a conversation and another maskless and gloveless person handling food. Wonderful place, good atmosphere and wonderful staff. I recommend the sob sandwich with sweet potato tots either that or their pizza, you can not go wrong with their pizza (the taco pizza is delightful). Came here for lunch after a morning 9 at golf course next door. The beer cheese pretzels were spot on and the chicken salad I had was OK for a bar. Go here for cold beer, and that's about it. It's a good time for that. The wait staff is nice and the atmosphere is fun. I am concerned about the health code rating for the place. The one time I was there, the ketchup bottle exploded all over the table when we opened it (not kidding), which either meant the previous customers were playing an awesomely-talented chemistry joke, which would be quite funny, or that the bottle was infected with some kind of bacteria and hadn't been opened for a while.
