I was pleased with how fast the service was, our server was kind and had good recommendations for what to choose of the menu. I ordered the shrimp rice bowl, it was flavorful and had a good amount of shrimp in it. I will say for almost $19 it was a bit pricey for the bowl itself not being a large portion. The space itself is laid back, it's got a nice patio if that's your thing!

I'll definitely keep coming back.

The enchiladas i would give a 3, chicken was almost smoky flavored, tender. Seemed to be dark meat. The enchiladas sauce through was really tangy, almost vinegary, not good. On the side was rice and beans. The rice was average and the beans a bit below average. I usually look forward to the beans at places like this so when they aren't very good, that's memorable to me. The pico, tomatoes and lettuce didn't seem fresh. The guac was really good. The chips were amazingly good and crisp. The salsa was fresh and tasty and very hot, but not too great for dipping. I put a lot on my meals. To drink, there was fountain soda(a south o rarity) and I tried the jicama juice which was fresh and good. Overall, I may try this place again on another day to see if some of the freshness was an anomaly. I won't get the enchiladas again. Would like to give their gorditas and tacos a try.

The menu is full of classic and traditional Mexican cuisine. I tried the pollo Puebla and it was pretty good! Thick, juicy chicken covered in fresh veggies. The beans were good, the rice was decent. I loved the colorful paper banners and the paintings. We went at about 5 pm on a Saturday and were seated quickly. By 6:30 when we left, it was starting to fill in and there were a couple big parties so we left at the right time. The menu was pretty extensive, lots of different offerings. We were given complimentary chips and salsa, then our waitress offered more but didn't tell us it was $2 for a refill. Not a huge price, but we weren't told it was extra. I got a frozen classic margarita and my husband got a classic on the rocks. One and done! It was strong, your basic pre-mix flavor, and I loved the glasses! There was another drink on the menu called a cantarita (similar to a Paloma), which I can't wait to try sometime. I ordered the birria tacos and they were so good! The shell had a light crunch, the cheese was perfectly proportioned and melted, the meat was tender and flavorful, and the broth had the perfect amount of season, onion, and cilantro without being too overpowering. Everything was SO filling, between the drink, chips and salsa, I had to take one of the tacos to go. The salsa is made in house from fresh ingredients but the chips and tortillas aren't. She said they get the dough and it's cut up prior to making the tacos. Our waitress was super friendly and helpful, but the service was a little slow even though it wasn't too busy most of the time we were there. We didn't mind because we had time, but something to consider if you're in a hurry. Authenticity was 6/10 based on the overall vibes, music, taste of the food, but it was a bummer the tortillas weren't fresh made and the margarita was pre-mix.
