A few other people came and sat at the bar after me and ordered food and drinks. Their food started arriving but not mine. After 30 minutes the bartender said she would go downstairs and check on it. The tacos were fine. Not terrible but not great. I asked for the check but she ran out of paper in the register. She got a partial print out of my bill and asked me to just sign it. I said no I needed a receipt for work. So I waited another 15 until she could find somebody to help her with the register paper. I might go back if I was with friends but I would order something else and I would not want her as a bartender.

I actually fell in love with their Grand Cru back in 2007. It used to be a must-visit spot whenever I was passing through Omaha. Truth be told this latest visit felt a bit sad. They did have that Space Monkey Biermosa on the board but it just did not sound appealing to me. The food was decent enough. I ordered the jambalaya and it was pretty good. It had some nice subtle heat and the shrimp were cooked well. My wife went with the Mediterranean chicken but it was a bit of a letdown. It was dry and frankly quite bland. My son had the Blonde pizza and he did not have any complaints about his choice. I really hope they find some new fire soon.
