Went to 3rd base today at, it was really good, had the parmagedon banger, it was 12 dollars, it had broasted chicken melted cheese on top of it along with marinara sauce on top of the melted cheese and underneath the chicken was cheese sticks, the atmosphere was really nice, the service was quite nice too, it did take a bit to get here but there was like two workers, I'll definitely go there again, I enjoyed my experience 9/10 read more

I met my friends here for dinner a couple weeks ago and the whole experience was really surprising, tbh, but in a good way. One of my friends has been here with his co-workers a few times but I haven't been here before. (Maybe one time many many years ago that I don't remember....) We walk in on a Monday night and there were a few people there. It's a small place so I'm glad we were able to get a table. When we sat down, the bartender, (waitress as well), came right over and took our drink orders and eventually our food orders. I wanted to try their renowned broasted chicken. (A device essentially uses pressure cooking and light frying to create a thin crispy skin and juicy interior). The chicken was some of the best 'fried' chicken that I've ever had, seriously. Super crispy skin and juice inside. Reminds me a little of Korean fried chicken. The texas toast was yummy, the cole slaw was creamy (if you like creamy slaw), and the crispy tots were crispy delicious. My friend got a broasted chicken sammich and he loved it too. (High praise coming from him.) My friends and I have been wanting to go back and get more broasted chicken since we left. On Fridays, they have a 4 piece special for $13.99 that I'll have to take advantage of soon. This was a great lunch spot but I've headed amazing things about their breakfast. I had the Southwest burger with the jalapeños on the side with fries. Everything about the burger was good! Our server stayed on top of the drinks making sure if we wanted to refill we had the opportunity! Nice little spot definitely a hidden gem for food . I only had it once which was today and it was really good. Me and my fiancé both got the lunch special, it was a tenderloin and French fries. REALLY GOOD. Will definitely go back for the food again. The only thing that sucks that I noticed was horrible screen color on the tvs hanging on the walls and NO SOUND AT ALL on none of the tvs. If it's a sports bar let me hear what's going on with my favorite team..... also replacing the old tv would be nice.. going back sometime throughout the week considering it's close by, for some food and a cold one ! read more

While traveling back to Chicago from a Denver our overnight stay was in Council Bluffs. We were set to arrive at the dinner hour. Being totally unfamiliar with the area, I looked to Yelp for suggestions. 3rd Base had really good reviews so we headed there. Upon our arrival we were surprised to find it in a small ranch home style building in a residential area. We figured, why not? What a pleasant surprise. The place reminded me of the family "shot and a beer" place with great food. The gal waiting on us couldn't be friendlier and the food was awesome. We had the ribeye sandwich with grilled onions, mushrooms and plenty of melted Swiss cheese. I took off the top piece of bread as I felt it unnecessary. The steak was perfect with great flavor. The hand made onion rings were quite good too. Our server suggested their special sauce for dipping and I'm glad we did. If you're looking for some place fancy, this isn't it. My husbans hsd the Bbq bacon burger. The mushroom swiss was very good. Fresh mushrooms. Loved that. The bacon burger had several slices of bacon. Burgers were juicy and flavorful. The fries were ok. A little too done as well as the rings. The kicker sauce is really good as was the cheese sauce. Very helpful and friendly server. Super clean and fresh. This was our first experience here. We stopped by for lunch on Sunday afternoon and we were the only patrons there. I got the hangover special, which was hash browns, biscuit, gravy, two eggs, and four strips of bacon. All for $6! It was greasy goodness. The biscuits looked homemade. The gravy was seasoned well, and the strips of bacon were thick-cut. The service was prompt and friendly, but again we were the only two in the place. They have a really nice set up with TVs if you want to watch a sporting event. They also have darts. They have happy hour Mondays-Fridays 3-6 where you can get a burger or sandwich and fries for $5! She needs to learn customer service big time and she definitely needs to have a better attitude and learn manners. There are quite a few times I decided not to tip less than normal or not even tip at all. Why? Because of her attitude. ADDING MORE ON THAT: Tipping isn't required, it is earned. It is not against the law or in any company policy that a patron has to tip. The only way a restaurant, bar, or establishment of any tipping industry, will require either of the these two. 1. If you forget to pay and you leave your card at the establishment no matter what the reason is. The next day you come back and the tip as stated by the establishment if they say it on any sign in their establishment saying 'There will be a 20% or 25% tip for any debit cards left behind'. 2. Having a party of 7 or more PER COMANY POLICY RULES and REGULATIONS. Not all restaurants, bars, or huge events do this. There is some that do and many more that do not have this policy at all. Second: Karaoke Is Terrible. If you are thinking about karaoke here. Do not come. Completely terrible. Not lively at all and not a big venue to even karaoke in anyway. Third: If you are claustrophobic, don't come. You will get triggered. I don't have that but anyone who does suffer from it (my aunt included) don't come. Pretty good dive bar went on a Wednesday service was fast, food was hot. Got garlic Parmesan wings with cheese curds, curds were awesome garlic parm sauce was ok would try Asian or probably one of the sweeter sauces maybe house sauce. Great prices and the place seemed very very clean! Will be back again as it is local to me and I get a cheese curd tooth every now and then haha. This is a neighborhood bar with super nice people and great food. We had the mac and cheese bites with spicy ranch with a BLT and onion rings. The food was really good! Stopped in here with some friends on a Sunday afternoon. The atmosphere was cozy and they have several TVs for watching sports. The service was exceptional! The waitress asked if we'd eaten there before and when we said no she took time to highlight some things on the menu. She was very attentive, checking on us frequently, and made friendly conversation. I think I'd venture to say she was the best waitress I've ever had! Also, the food was amazing! I had the steak philly. The meat was tender and had great flavor. My hubby had the California burger which he said was awesome, and so big he had to bring half of it home. We also had nachos and their homemade onion rings for the table, which were both super yummy. The kicker dipping sauce for the onion rings was so good. They should consider selling it by the jar! The pork itself was good, but the breading was a little soggy and bland. My GF had the po boy, and felt the same way about her fish. She had the onion rings, which tasted bland, but where made in house. We also had the cheese nuggets app, which was okay, but some of the cheese curds hadn't melted and were still a little too solid. Quaint, comfortable and not at all noisy. Quick service and wait staff that is easy to approach and helpful with selection. By far this is beyond what I was expecting.
