A divey type bar with many TVs to watch your favorite team play! We slipped in here for the Spain/England COPA final and it was great. I had a Kona Big Wave which was on tap. The bartender was attentive and friendly which sometimes is tough to find these days. The only improvement I would make is a better beer selection. Otherwise, a solid choice to hang out with friends. One of the nicer dive bars in town. When I say nice, I'm not talking about a pretty interior. I'm talking about the cheap drinks. The customers this night consisted of a bunch of drunken college students. They were a bit rowdy, but not too loud or obnoxious. There are $2.50 drink specials every weeknight. Actually cheaper than DJ's Dugout. The day I went (Thursday) it was well whiskey highballs. Call whiskies were $3.50. Still not bad. It'd be a good place to chill and chat for sure. I tried to be a local here. come same time every week to watch the same teams. this saturday the bartender who should've known me by now was still a zombie. ok, whatever. I orsee a mixed drink and it is too toxic to drino (the owner doesn't care that staff are stealing from him/her). at least I can watch the game. bartender is in his own world chatting with his friends at opposite end of bar and I'm watching my game. then bartender comes from other end of the bar to change the channel on the tv I'm watching. I demand to close out. then bartender tells me I can throw a hissy if I want he doesn't care. I tell him his drink is disgusting and probably use La Gia he I should not. go to the bar next door. bartender sends his goons. they threaten to squirt ketchup in my face. I cannot make this up. these two losers won't leave me alone. I tel them to make a play if they want to get violent. but, they just sit there being fat and lazy and threatening to squirt ketchup in my face. another example of how jd tuckers overserves and a sad statement for omaha. if you know a bartender here you will be treated like royalty. otherwise, find someplace else. read more

I'll start out by saying my review might be totally biased because even though JD Tucker's is totally not my kind of place, I still had a lot of fun as an out-of-towner. The place is pretty much a sports bar/dive. We spent a couple days dropping by to grab drinks while trying to assess where else to go. Annoying college kids were crowded all over the sidewalk and douchebags were shamelessly hitting on us, but the bartenders were super chill and seemed to take everything with a grain of salt. If you're looking for a classy place to take a girl, this is not it. If you're looking for a great cocktail, this is not it. If you're looking for an up and coming hot spot, this is not it. But if you're looking for cheap drinks and a jukebox only a couple blocks away from everything else, then this place is just fine. read more

I heard this bar was a cool place for locals. I went there after a long day of charity driven sand volleyball. Walked up to the bar and the bald fat bartender told me they don't serve anyone in a tank top. I was wearing an Urban Outfitter's tank top (bought down the street), yet the girl in the string tank top was served right away. Apparently rules do not apply to all. Do NOT visit bar. By the way I live about 5 block from this bar. It disappoints me. :-( read more

We live downtown and the 10th street bars are a normal hang out spot for us. I have gone to this spot for years and never had any issues until last night. I showed up with my fiancé for a drink after a long week only to be turned away because someone inside "didn't feel comfortable with our presence." I was sitting on the patio, didn't even see who was inside and my fiancé went straight to the bar to grab two drinks. We weren't drunk, being obnoxious, or causing any problems, but we're turned away because of a petty girl my fiancé hooked up with in the past. We were told her and her boyfriend "spend a lot of money there", ok cool I've also spent a lot of money there. The whole situation was super unprofessional and the new bar tenders they've brought in are just ruining the whole atmosphere. to the guy who was so concerned about us being there, just saying bro if every place you go you run into your girls booty calls she's a hoe and sounds like she's the issue. Just walk around the corner and hit a brewery. Mediocre dive bar at best. Also charges a 15$ minimum on credit cards

I, fortunately, didn't have any problems with JD Tucker's. I actually stopped in to wait for a friend. I was wearing a pretty hipsterish outfit, nothing sports related, and actually had a good time. The bartenders seemed chill, there was just basketball on when I went. They had an ok selection on tap, domestics, Stella, and a couple "good" beers. Good number of TVs with all the different games and ESPN on. Bar had a lot of spots which is nice. Crowd seemed pretty chill, no problems, seemed nice. Was pretty dead when I arrived but it got very busy around 11PM. I'd come here again if I was looking for a sports bar in the old market and didn't want to head to a more traditional bar setting. Sometimes it's just nice to find a place like this to have a beer and watch TV without a big exciting setting. read more

Place is perfect to watch a game and their nightly drink specials are the best in the old market. If your looking for a place to go before 10 PM any night, this is perfect. I had a good time at this place but I like little holes in the wall. The bartender "Nate" seemed to know people and was really personable. He can called people "brotha" and "dude" limited number of Taps, only 10. I had the vanilla bean blonde. Seems to be a common beer in Omaha. Couple of locals were chatty... tip... don't talk college football in Nebraska... it's apparently religion here. Overall I want to come back and have Nate send me beers all night. read more

Tuckers is a simple, decent little sports bar. The staff is pretty friendly and they have good happy hour specials. Not a big selection of liquors, but sports bars are about beer anyway aren't they? Good selection on tap there. The place has been pretty dead lately -- even on weekends when the old market is rockin', but gets people for big sporting events. They don't seem to get many pay-per-view sporting events which is a shame since there's not many other sports bars downtown, but good for after work baseball viewing. read more

I went in to watch the Sox playoff game and the bartender told me to turn my hat around.( I had it on backwards) He told me that I would have to leave if I didn't turn it around. Great Location, but luckily there are other places near by. Good size crowd for Sunday night before the 4th. Clearly posted sign reads specials include $3.50 call- ordered two drinks, after waiting a bit- bartender tells me its $11 when he sees I am paying cash- in clear view of the register I see him ring it as $7 and pocket the rest. Not worth arguing with someone when you're trying to have a good time- just better off moving to a better spot. read more

I like this bar alot! It has a great vibe when it is a big sports night. You can catch your local teams there as well as whatever out of town team you are looking for. They don't serve food, but the bar next door will deliver right to your table, and they have a good bar menu. Waitstaff is nice and knows what they are doing. It is a nice little spot on the edge of the Old Market! read more
