Went to tuckers Friday and today. Chase was great Friday and tracy, of course, today. The bartenders are what keep me coming back.

    Well whiskey and Coke~

Great bartenders, but owner makes bartenders to keep doors and windows open when it is cold! Bring a big jacket!!!

Just walk around the corner and hit a brewery. Mediocre dive bar at best. Also charges a 15$ minimum on credit cards

Our daughter had one of the pizzas, which she said was good. Our son had a burger, which was good. My wife had a chicken item with sweet potatoes fries, which she enjoyed. Our relatives had chili, soup, salad, and something else. All the food was good, but not exceptional. As for the beer, I had one of their Scary Numbers, which was a fairly flat stout, with little to revere. It was drinkable. My brother-in-law opted for the sampler with a mix of seasonal & "avant-garde" flavors. He drank it, and I sampled, but all five were very missable. This is a case where the food carried the beer, instead of the other way around. The food was good, but not great. I did enjoy my Jambalaya, and if we return, would stick to that. I would pass on their crafted beer, opting for another offering, which is kind of sad.

The steak was cooked perfectly! We were sat right upfront to over look the old market and it was clean and I loved the home feel of the space, very casual and comfortable. Our server (ugh, can't remember his name) was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and attentive. The ONLY thing that was a downside is that on yelp it says the restaurant is pet friendly and that is not the case. We traveled with our puppy and we had to leave her back at my daughter's apartment downtown which was a big bummer. Other than that, not one single bad this to say.

We found Jackson Street Tavern on Yelp while looking for a place to eat that was 1. walkable to our…read morehotel, and 2. would have hamburgers for the kids. This fit the bill so we walked over around 5pm one evening for an early dinner after spending the day exploring the zoo. When we arrived the place was pretty empty - think maybe two tables occupied, and the hostess asked us if we had a reservation. We did not, and honestly she seemed a bit put out for a bit. I kind of wondered if we were going to be able to eat in this empty restaurant, but alas she decided it was okay and we were seated. This is one of my pet peeves at restaurants. I know, I know, that there could have been a ton of business booked for later, but it's such a bad look to make such a big deal about reservations when the place is empty. Also - while it did start to fill it was by no means full by the time we left. At any rate, things perked up at that point and we all got seated, ordered drinks, food etc. and had a good time. The server was kind and thoughtful and the food was pretty tasty. I had the fish and chips and shared it with my husband as the entrees are a good size here. My six year old had the kids hamburger, though we did have a bit of a scare when the server said "your cheeseburger will be out soon!" we had a long wait on the kids meal and when she said cheeseburger I immediately said - "no cheese!" the menu item was described as a "hamburger" with no mention of cheese and our kid doesn't like cheese her burgers so that was a really close call. I sort of got the impression that server wasn't accustomed to kids, but when the burger came out it was right and even though she had to wait, my kiddo gave it two thumbs up. Overall this is a good pub style restaurant in Old Town. Nothing really to write home about, but they do have decent food and local beers which was all we really cared about after a long day at the zoo.

Showed up to the location and were greeted by a very friendly guy who greeted us with the question "do you guys medicate?" Hmm...an Irish bar that also medicates...a full self-service bar lol. We quickly realized that we were talking to a representative from the Wellness Boutique and that the Dubliner Pub was actually downstairs. Walked down the stairs not knowing what to expect, opened the door and we were greeted by a very friendly bouncer. The bar atmosphere immediately gave genuine Irish bar vibes with low ceilings and lots of green lighting. The biggest win of the night was that they actually had Guinness on tap! There is plenty of space since the bar has two separate areas, the main area and a secondary area for live music. Had great conversation with a local guy named Chase. Fantastic experience overall. PROS - Great atmosphere. Tons of wall decal and neon lighting - Live music - Plenty of seating area - True Irish bar feel with lots of wall decals and local ceiling - Guinness on tap which, believe it or not, some Irish bars don't always have on tap. They weren't too busy which was nice, we were seated promptly, given menus and water and time to order. After deciding on an appetizer (artichoke spinach dip) we called it good. After tasting the appetizer we decided against ordering here (reason below), so we went to 'Eat the worm' instead. The trade off was worth it. Cost and flavor wise. Regardless, staff was kind and prompt, the place was clean and well staffed, food appeared quickly, and staff stayed on top of their work. *The appetizer was not my favorite/my dates favorite. Service set the tone right away -- our waitress was clearly in a bad mood and not pleasant at all. No energy, no effort, just going through the motions. Food timing was messy. Five people got their meals way before mine showed up, and overall everything took way too long coming out of the kitchen. I ordered the hot honey chicken sandwich. It wasn't terrible, but definitely not good either. The chicken tasted more boiled than anything, and the only "heat" came from what seemed like a heavy dose of Tabasco rather than actual flavor. We also got fried pickles as an appetizer -- those were just bad. Undercooked, soggy, and honestly looked unappetizing. The rest of the table felt the same -- food was just so-so across the board. Nothing memorable. Only highlight? The sweet potato fries were actually pretty good. Oh and the decor was ok. Overall, between the service, timing, and mediocre food, not a place I'd go back to.
