The selection skews towards IPAs but they generally have something for everyone. Each beer can come in different sizes depending how committed you are to trying a certain beer or just want a 5 ounce sampler. Food options here consist of some pretzel available to purchase but there is typically a food truck outside to help fill your stomach if you plan on staying awhile. The staff are not your typical bar staff but beer enthusiasts who are willing to wait on you hand and foot. The service is really top tier, the beers come out quick and they're always making their rounds to get your next drink.

The inside is very clean and simple - a nice, bright place to have a few drinks and chat with friends. The patio is great too when it's nice outside. All their brews are fabulous in my experience. My favorites are Great Plains Lager and the Cairns Pilsner (I am a fan of lighter beers if you couldn't tell). They have lots of different beer styles from Kölsches to Dunkels, and IPAs to Ales. So you'll definitely find something you like. They sell Kringles flavored pretzels for snacking on, or at least they did when I went last. Love those! Aside from that, they have food trucks that post up there as well, so definitely check their schedule to see who will be there when you want to go. For a local brewery, they have a pretty solid lineup of different brews, so I'd definitely check them out if you're in the Millard area!

The restaurant was quickly filled by trivia contestants. We sat at a table, to see the folks giving out questions. The booths make viewing difficult. Next time we'll try a booth, as they look more comfortable. Service started out sparse. That poor woman was already slim, and the volume of people, with just one waitress, guaranteed she'd be slimmer by end of night. They got it together and provided some help for her for serving. The staff was good, friendly and enjoyable. I expect that someone was missing that day, as it seemed unusual for the lone waitress. She was even kind enough to apologize to us and ask for patience. That was something I appreciated. The did give us everything we ordered and it was all good, both food and drinks. Not too memorable, but good. The location has immensely high ceilings with movie posters on them. A giant fan keeps the air moving. It was a good and useful appearance. One I appreciated. Parking was easy. Being attached to Alamo Drafthouse, one could find that difficult, but fortunately. The lot is huge, facing north and wrapping around the east side. Trivia was fun. While we didn't do as well as the rest of the mob, we had fun! That, diligent service, reasonable eats and drinks, and easy parking made it an event we will likely attend again. Bonus that one can visit this before or after a movie without leaving the building. I recommend it.

Does not look like a restaurant/brewpub from the outside. You will not stumble upon Heavy Brewing,…read morebut need to seek it out with intent among the other industrial buildings. Friday evening and the place was packed. Not really an appealing setup indoors, loud and rows of bare bones tables and chairs. The patio was very nice, if you are there on an evening the Nebraska weather allows the patio. We were, and enjoyed it. Beer was good. I had Red Ale and my companions sought "something like Blue Moon," which the bartender was able to recommend. Hot honey pepperoni pizza was very greasy but tasty. We saw a neighboring table use a napkin on top of the pizza before they ate, and we did that too. Service was friendly and fine, although the setup is a bit quirky. Food is separate from beer and ordering is done via a QR code, but you can order at the counter if you prefer. Would visit again, but not for a My Dinner With Andre conversation.

The food will be delivered to your table. The beer! It's all about the beer! Heavy Brewing provides a great selection of beer. You are sure to find a style that you prefer. We have always found the beer to be perfectly cold and fresh. We prefer pale ales and (especially) Hazy IPAs. We love the pizza too. They have a fun selection. On this trip, we ordered The BDub which has hamburger, sausage, green peppers, and black olives. It was easy to drop the green peppers and add jalapeño on the ordering form. The pizza did not take long to prepare. It was hot, thin, crispy and delish! As for the setting, Heavy Brewing is very welcoming with plenty of seating. It's informal and set in an industrial building. It is kid friendly for sure, though there have been complaints in the past about kids running amok. The owners have addressed this and we appreciate it. Parents need to parent again.
