This place holds such a special spot in my heart because it's a tradition for my mom and me to get pizza and beer before I fly home. We always come here to say goodbye and do one last thing together before I leave. One time, we had a little too much fun here and I missed my flight, but that's a story for another day! The pizza is always great, and we love sitting up at the bar. One of the bartenders even recognized me from the year before, which made the experience feel extra special. The beer is always really good, and we like to try something new since they rotate flavors. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in town. Such a cool vibe, and the place is huge--would be a fun spot for events!

A flight of decidedly delicious and fresh brews.

Awesome vibe! Donna provided awesome service on a Friday afternoon with solid recommendations. Their brews are named rather cheekily (ex. Deez Nuts) but they are varied band delicious! Hoppy, sour, dark, dank, just tell her what you're feeling and she'll line you up. Looking forward to coming back for next time - note Mr. Dankey (their version of the west coast IPA) is strong at 6.6%! If you wanna know my favorite? Thicc (not a typo) Pearls brewed with completely NE hops - just outstanding!

My husband and I visited Heavy Brewing after work yesterday with some friends and family and their two children. First, it is extremely family friendly and kids are welcome. We ordered a beef pizza with mushrooms and olives and it was so good. The crust was crisp and there were plenty of toppings. Later on, we ordered the soft pretzels and they were eve crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. The beer cheese sauce for dipping was terrific too. The beer selection was large enough so everyone in our party found something they enjoyed. Overall, the craft beers were all good. Service was friendly and speedy when the place was relatively empty. Food is ordered from a QR code on the table. This process was fast and easy. As it became busier, the line to get drinks was slow and long. This is an area that could use some work. However, it didn't deter us from staying for hours. We were able to watch the Gretna football games on the big screen and socialize. We had a great time and will be back soon!

Heavy brewing is a fun place to hang out for a great brew! The food is also fabulous. We've come for events with our realtor and they've always had great food and drinks, but finally my husband and I came for an event so I can finally rate it. The brews are always top notch, and super fun flavors. Tonight, I had the "my strippers name is cinnamon," "Vienna oak job," black cherry, and "creepy dunkel Larry." The old fashioned and espresso martini are also great! They have a pizza oven that always makes the pizza crust crispy and well cooked. Pretzel sticks are also a great option, and the chips and salsa! You can't go wrong here, and there's plenty to try.

This place is awesome. Beer is great, staff friendly and knowledgeable. Full kitchen with delicious food. They have a large private room, and bay doors that open on nice days. Cool arcade games too. We came in October and they had several Octoberfest style beers including a marzen and festbier. They also have non alcoholic beer (Athletic brewing), which is huge for people in your group who want the taste without the ABV.

Beer and Drinks are amazing. Wish they sold in kegs. We ordered chips and salsa and we must have received the bottom of the bag of chips. All were crushed and salsa is thin so not a good transport for salsa. Pizza had great flavor but crust was soft, not what you would expect from a wood fired oven.

The beer I drank because it's delicious.

This place is great! The staff is awesome. We come here way more than we probably should. It's a great mix of classic style beers and some out there flavors. The IPAs challenge the local interstate big dogs (Get Couples Retreat!) But there is always something for everyone. Whether you are a beer geek or not. There is something for you! Oh and then the pizza!!! ITS SO GOOD!!!

The ambiance is casual, yet a little upscale with the red, black, and white color palette. The party room on the side is a great place for an event or celebration (we had a Yelp event there). The Garlic Cheese Sticks starter is heavenly. Basically a little cheese pizza (but fancier cheese) with marinara on the side for dipping. So good! The Philly Fries are another starter that's delicious and it's huge, so could almost be an entree if you get it just for yourself. Huge chunks of Philly steak with a cream cheese drizzle (that I could drink in a cup). The salad bar is also great, if you want a lighter starter. I cover mine in their homemade ranch so it's definitely no longer "light" in my case! My favorite pizza is the Parm Alfredo, with an Alfredo base, tender chicken, and grilled broccoli. I know what you're thinking, "broccoli on a pizza?!" But just trust the process, it's amazing. The best Philly sandwich is the House Steak. Huge swaths of the Philly meat, green peppers, onions, provolone and the awesome Cheez Whiz! You can't go wrong getting this classic, with 531's twist on it. We met the original owners at a Yelp event we attended, and they were so nice and genuine and obviously cared so much about their food/product and pleasing their diners. I hope they have plans to stay in the restaurant business in Omaha, because I will support any new venture they have. I so am hoping the new owners don't change too much about the menu. I will give them a chance to see their vision, obviously, but hopefully a few of my faves remain!

Next stop: Piezon's Pizzeria a neighborhood stronghold with a robust menu that offers plenty of choices without feeling overwhelming. For this session, I picked up: One slice of the Oh Mio Dio One slice of the Mahalo with jalapeños The standout of the encounter was the Oh Mio Dio. The combination of fiery chicken and cream cheese landed exactly where I like my pizza builds to be--bringing the perfect balance of heat and coolness in every bite. The Mahalo took a different path. Built with Canadian bacon, pineapple, and cream cheese, it already offers a unique take on a Hawaiian-style pizza. Adding jalapeños gave it just enough kick to complement the sweet and savory flavors without overwhelming them. I can see why it's my wife's favorite. The menu itself deserves credit. There's a lot to choose from, but it never feels complicated. Whether you're a seasoned adventurer or a first-time visitor, finding your next slice feels straightforward. What stuck with me most, though, was the atmosphere. The walls are filled with stories and adventures drawn by kids, while pizza trays signed by Husker fans cover the space with messages and memories. Pizza was ready right on time, and the smell was great all the way home. Initially, I was disappointed in the side salad, as it came in a box approximately the size of a big Mac box. I paid $5 for this? But when I poured it into a standard cereal bowl at home, I had to level up because there was so.much.salad! And it was fresh, and delicious. Toppings on the pizza were generous, and it looked great. Cupping pepperoni can be a little spicy, and the sauce had a little spice as well, but was very good. I got the standard crust (vs thin crust), and maybe standard is the best thing I can say about it. It was meh. Not fluffy, not chewy, just better than frozen. Everything was cooked well though, and I applaud that. Lots of pepperoni, olives and maybe not quite as many mushrooms, but a fair amount. I'd go back, this time trying the thin crust. Timber Creek has a fair amount going for it -- and friendly staff to boot!

I liked the variety of unique pizzas on the menu, but when it came time to add the actual unique toppings, they fell short. I had the street corn pizza, and there couldn't have been more than a tablespoon of chorizo on the entire pizza. Additionally, the sauce on top had a gross mayo-ish texture. If I were to return, I think I would play it safe and stick to the classics.
