Piezons what a great experience. We were meeting some friends at their place for dinner and ordered pick up. Got there a little early and was greeted by staff and told it would just be a couple more minutes. No worries got some pictures and watched the staff cook and get orders made. We got 2 pizzas and a calzone. We got a sausage and peppers and the Ducci and my wife did a build your own calzone. The pizza is great good amount of toppings but not too much, flavorful sauce, crust has a nice crisp but still has that chew you want. The calzone was fantastic, definitely 2-3 meals worth of food, filled with cheese and toppings my wife loved it and so did I the next day. The inside had multiple tables and a bar inside. Kinda unique with writings on the wall. A little lot by the ovens but love the open concept. One of my favorite pizza spots in Omaha. We will definitely be back. read more

Ordered carry-out from Piezon's this evening. You know how pizzarias sometimes give you a bogus 40-minute wait time and then when you show up, your pizza has been in the warming oven forever? Not the case at Piezon's. I arrived five minutes early, waited five minutes, and there it was. That said, my portobello fries were being boxed up when I arrived, so, I feared for the worst. Not a problem. When I got in the car, the starving occupants immediately dove in. The "fries" were hot, they were crunchy, they were delicious! I could eat these all day, but hold that ranch dressing and give me a salt packet or two. I loved these! That well-timed pizza, well, it cooled significantly in a four-mile drive home, and when we opened the box, the pizza was just a little less than inviting. This was a black olive/mushroom pizza. Lots of olives, so thumbs up to that. Razor-thin mushrooms though didn't add much to the experience. And cheese, well, I like a little pull to the bite, and that wasn't happening here. Not enough cheese? Wrong cheese? Not a lot of flavor. Crust? Also not a lot of flavor. Not a lot of crunch or chew, and the sauce is spread pretty thin. I "think" the sauce had good flavor, but if I tried this place again, I might diner in, get extra sauce, extra cheese and extra mushrooms ... that's a lot of extra just to make it basic. I did hear though, that if you dine in, they have a fantastic margarita! (The drink, not the pizza.) read more

I stopped in for dinner on a Tuesday evening. The young lady working the dining area was very efficient, friendly and provided great service. The food came out quickly and was delicious. I love that you can do a half and half pizza as I had a hard time deciding on one. They have a full bar which is nice and the prices are quite reasonable. The seating area isn't overly large but they do have ample seating as well as bar seating and a good amount of TV's. read more

My visit didn't start on the right note, but it got better. I was on a weekend trip from Kansas City and I was meeting some college buddies. I grabbed an empty water bottle from my car so I could throw it away, except there weren't any trash bins in the parking lot or in front of the restaurant, so I walked inside where there also weren't any trash bins. I started looking for the bathroom (there weren't signs) when the owner or manager yelled at me. He said there was a large sign on the door that said outside food and drink weren't allowed and I needed to take my drink back to my car. To his credit, he was right, there was a large sign on the door. I didn't see it because I was texting my friends. To my credit, I responded that my plastic bottle was empty. I wanted to throw it away, but there weren't any trash cans. Then I asked if I should drop it on the floor? He said no, and pointed at me to throw the bottle away in the trash can behind me... except there wasn't a trash can behind me. A server arrived in the middle of our commotion and grabbed an trash can from behind the bar, which was about 15 steps away. Okay. I thought about leaving, but my buddies were on the way and I didn't have a good alternative, so I stayed. I'm glad I did because I ended up eating some of the best pizza in the Midwest. Looking over the menu, we learned we could not only order normal New York-style pizza offerings by the slice, but we could also order specialty pizzas as well as a la carte / build-your-own pizzas by the slice. Talk about a game changer. I won't write about everything we ordered, but let's just say while my buddies and I are far from our early 20s, we still think we can eat like it. And we did. I highly recommend the Oh Mio Dio (aka The Big John.) It's a pizza filled full of "fiery" chicken, cream cheese and pepperoni. They don't skimp and you won't go hungry. A plate of jalapeno poppers as a warm up hit the spot, too. Our server was awesome. She took her job seriously, but she didn't take herself seriously, which added to the fun. She knew the menu, gave us some good recommendations and even suggested some pairing beers. A+. I'm glad she was there. She also pointed me to the restroom, since there wasn't a sign. There, while taking care of some business, I read a letter written by the owner that was taped the wall above the urinals. The letter didn't ask, it instructed diners not to throw trash, tobacco chew or other items in the urinals or toilets because a trash can was a few steps away. I get it. The owner is straight shooter who is direct and to the point. I wasn't expecting it when I walked in, but now that I'm aware, I can respect his approach. It's his house and his rules, even though I think he can work on his people skills. So while I wrote above that my visit started rough, it ended with me leaving smiling, laughing and full. read more

My very first visit to Piezon's did not disappoint! I was going to pop in for a slice on my way to an event close by, and it was pretty busy for a weeknight, so I grabbed a seat at the bar. It seemed to be only one person manning the dining room and bar, so, while service was a bit slow, he was very nice in explaining the menu and providing some recommendations. I ended up ordering the raviolis for an appetizer and a slice of the Mahalo, their take on a hawaiian pizza. All was very good and definitely affordable. This place is so hit or miss. There have been times I have ordered and they are wonderful and the service is great and there have been a handful of times were the service is terrible especially whoever takes the orders over the phone. The issue they don't want to deal with is helping me customize my pizza with the amount of sauce. It's a pizza place literally every pizza place lets you do it or gives you the option but for some reason whenever a specific person answers the phone they are unwilling to let me get light sauce for my pizza no exceptions even though I have been giving my business to this place for a while now. If the attitude was different and I was able to customize the order I'm literally paying for then the review might be different but I'm not going to leave a glowing review for a place that is so unpredictable with kindness. read more

Ordered take out their version of combination. Didn't specify a crust but it was on the thin side like I like it. Sauce not too sweet or salt. Plenty of toppings and reheated nicely. Piezon's Pizzeria is undoubtedly one of the best restaurants around. The food is awesome, but service is second to none. Vrz (the owner), is a one of a kind guy. Even though I've written a review in the past and it can be found on our website, I had to mention it again. He goes out of his way to make sure that we can enjoy our meal. A trip to the grocery store to get dairy free cheese for my wife. Keep me happy and I'm grateful, keep my wife happy and you've got yourself a customer for life! I'm going to keep the rest short. I live in Northwest Arkansas, and after hearing sports radio shows/podcasts talk about the pizzeria, I've wanted to try Piezon's for some time. I drove up to the O to visit my adult daughter, and she was eager to try it too. As a former co-owner and manager of a NY style pizzeria, I'm a harsh judge on pizza. I was not disappointed. The pizza (The Ducci with jalapeños) was delicious and cooked perfectly. The sauce had a great tang, the crust was flavorful and held up nicely with the perfect chew, and the cheese was the perfect balance of complimenting the sauce and toppings without being overpowering. We also got the toasted cheese ravioli. Amazing, creamy cheese and flavorful coating. The owner (happy birthday, Matt) was actively involved in cooking, running products to tables, and encouraging employees. I'm so glad I made the 7 hour drive for the pizza. Next time I'm in town, I'll make an effort to return. read more

The BEST Pizza in West Omaha After trying all of the rest, my wife and I are so glad to have finally found the best. The Pizza: a thinner crust than I typically go for, but so so good. The Oh Mio Dio was the first we tried and immediately we fell in love with the pepperoni. The quality of the cheese is also phenomenal. Then we tried the Summa Dis Summa Dat and added bacon. WOAH. If you like meat, you're in for a treat! The Wings: tonight I finally tried their Extra Hot Traditional wings and my lips are still on fire (a very good thing). The Tropical Habanero are our favorite, though. The People: Matt is awesome. Tonight I neglected to check my order before heading home, and I got a call from him. He was so apologetic and offered me a refund. I said I could swing back to pick up the correct pie and he said it was on the house. He even let me keep the wrong pizza! This was our first visit and we will be back! Great vibe coming in the door. Friendly, happy customers tell you everything about this place. The staff hustled the whole time! Plenty of sports on screens. The volume was just right to allow conversation. Now for the food: excellent! Started with a simple side salad. Priced right and fresh. Italian seasoning dusted bone-in wings came from the kitchen crispy and piping hot. Highly recommend the ranch to go with them. We ordered the HOS pizza. Absolutely delicious. Nice side note: something at the next table came out of the kitchen wrong. The server let them know and had it remade before the customer even noticed. That's great service! read more

I guess we didn't realize what New York style pizza crust was. I ordered the somma dis somma dat pizza for carry out at about 745 pm and they said it would be ready at 830 pm. I picked it up at 835 pm, and it really smelled good in the car going home. Friendly employees, seemed like a nice place. The crust was extremely soggy, and therefore limp so you had to use a fork to eat it, no way to hand hold it, the toppings seemed very fresh, but it was impossible to keep them on the pizza so I would cut a small piece of crust off scoop some toppings off my plate on it and eat it that way. Maybe if there had been a little more cheese the toppings would have had a chance to stay on the crust. The jalapeños looked like maybe they had forgotten to put them on and added them after they boxed the pizza. Maybe they had already shut the oven down or something since it was late in the evening and the pizza didn't get fully cooked. If the crust wasn't so soggy and limp I would have rated them 5 star instead of 2 star. read more

Piezon's is a bar and pizza place with great service and tasty pies. I'm a fan of NY style, and they make 'em right! Good thin crust, cut diagonally, cooked so pepperonis get crisped at the edges. The parking is plentiful and easy, the location is right off of W. Center and 156th (Bob Boozer to the north). It's worth the brief navigating to turn south on 156th and right into the lot. Copious sports on TVs are available to serve those that want the distraction from their tasty pizzas. While they have beer, wine and hard liquor, mixed drinks aren't widely served there. If you want fancy, this ain't your place. Reminds me of good NY pizza from back in California. Too good. If you want a tasty NY pizza and regular beers, it's ideal! read more

Piezons is unique! They take their pizza and the food they serve seriously. My absolute favorite is the 0'Mio Dio which is spicy chicken with cream cheese and pepperoni. You will find that the restaurant seating is ultra small so during peak times, it will be crowded. I can't comment much on anything else because I can't peel myself away from the Mio Dio! read more
