Today I picked up a small chicken club pizza for lunch. I have always loved Mamma's Pizza, but what I ordered today was AWESOME! The crust was fantastic, was crisp but not cracker dry, stick in the throat crispy, had air pockets through it which is what you want to keep it crispy and light. It had lots of toppings, and the ham had a nice char taste to it, wasn't over sauced, wasn't dry, and the flavor of it all was just fantastic! So, a BIG KUDOS to whoever was making the pizza today cuz it was honestly one of the BEST Chicken Club pizzas I have EVER had. EVER. read more

Went here with my whole family (14 people) so we had made a reservation. The tables were all set up and ready when we arrived. This is a great family style restaurant we ordered a couple big pizzas and all of them were great! My sister also got a small gluten free pizza and said it was the best gluten free crust she has had! It is an order at the counter restaurant and so you do have to go up to the counter and ask for your drink to be filled when you want it. This did cause a little backup with ordering because I think everyone was waiting for drinks. But overall good experience!! read more

Big Bro and I recently enjoyed a delicious lunch and margaritas at Mama's Pizza. It's loaded with baseball paraphernalia and lots of TVs. Neither of us had been to this location before, but it started out great due to the personable, young Tiger Woods doppelgänger who took our order. Unfortunately, I didn't catch his name or I would give him a shout out. We ordered half vegetarian sans olives and half Hawaiian. The veggie side had mushrooms, onions, peppers, and mozzarella, while the Hawaiian had Canadian bacon, pineapple and mozzarella. It was a large because--leftovers! We each had a margarita, traditional lime for me and pineapple with tajin for Big Bro. Mine was quite tasty, but I decided not to finish it since I was driving and it was potent. Big Bro liked his pineapple with the tajin, a new treat to him. The place was really quiet being after noon on a weekday. There's an alcove with various games and a small open room off to the side for parties that would be perfect for team celebrations. A few signs warn not to move the tables, but one end of the big dining area is often used for group meetings so I think tables in that section get moved. I would like to go there again for pizza and a Margarita when I'm not driving. read more

I visited Mama's Pizza yesterday with a group of approximately 10 coworkers for lunch. We all placed our orders at the same time, but after everyone else received their food, mine never arrived. After waiting about 10 minutes, I politely approached a staff member to ask if my order may have been missed. The employee went into the kitchen to check. A cook then came out and stated there were only two orders of chicken strips and that both had already been delivered to our table. I calmly explained that there were actually three orders and showed her the receipt as confirmation. Instead of reviewing the receipt and addressing the situation professionally, she became visibly upset and insisted there were only two orders. When I pointed out the third order on the receipt, she appeared frustrated, threw the paper she was holding toward the kitchen area, and angrily stated, "It will be 10 minutes," before stomping away. About 10 minutes later, she brought my food to the table and dropped it down so forcefully that the food jumped on the plate. She then walked away without saying a word--no apology, no acknowledgment of the delay, and no attempt to make the situation right. I also mentioned to another employee that the cook did not need to be rude to me. Unfortunately, there was no response and no effort made to address the concern. Everyone makes mistakes, and I understand that orders can occasionally be missed. What was disappointing was not the delay itself, but the way the situation was handled. I remained patient, respectful, and polite throughout the interaction, yet was met with unnecessary hostility and unprofessional behavior. A simple apology and courteous communication would have gone a long way. read more

Mama's Pizza has been our family go to restaurant for birthdays. The food is always good and it is usually very accommodating. We always have a large group because we're a big family, 16 of us today. We got yelled at for moving 1 table 2-3 so the adults could sit together while the kids sat at a table next to us. We easily spent $200 as a family there this time and have been here numerous times going back to when they opened. When we got yelled at my brother in law said we just won't come back to which the employee replied "that's your prerogative." So no, we won't be back at this location after the probable thousands of dollars we've spent here over the years. All because your employee, yelled at her customers. read more

Great for a big group of people. We ordered at the counter and found our own table. We grabbed our own plates, napkins, cheese, and whatnot. They gave us a table number and brought the food out to us. The staff and table bussers were all very nice and helpful. I know my group enjoyed their pizza and spaghetti. Unfortunately for me, I cannot have gluten, so I couldn't try any of the pizzas. But they did have a good selection of salads I could have. The chefs salad was huge and filling! We made it to this place kind of not on purpose. We were on a 20-mile bike ride on the nearby trails and smelled this amazing aroma coming from that direction, so we circled back for some sustenance. The pizza we ordered (a large cheese and a large pepperoni) were ready for pick-up at the time we requested. The pepperoni pie was really tasty with a very generous helping of pepperoni. Nothing special, but it's priced accordingly. The cheese to crust ratio is in balance. This is a place where most people can still afford to take their kids for pizza without breaking the bank. If you ask me, Mama's is some of the best pizza in Omaha. And while they have plenty of seating in a wide open space, it can be very full depending on when you go. I was most recently there on a Friday evening and it was packed! You really can't go wrong with the pizza, just order what you like. Their house salads are pretty good too, and their garlic ranch dressing is super tasty. On this trip some of us decided to try their bacon cheeseburger pizza. You can choose either bbq sauce or ketchup and mustard as the sauce, we did the latter and it was actually pretty tasty. My personal favorite though is the Mama's Combo. Delish! They don't deliver, but you can call ahead and then pick it up, just enter from the back door and you're in the perfect spot. read more

Ordered on New Years Eve and they only had a 20-25 minute wait for takeout even though the place was packed and a never ending line for pick ups. This is some of the best pizza in Omaha! Medium, crispy crust, with an abundance of toppings, and plenty of cheese! I've had several different pizzas here and enjoyed every one. my favorite is their Vegetarian pizza -the tangy sauce, really highlights the sweetness of the vegetables. They use cherry tomatoes instead of sliced large tomatoes, which keeps it from getting soggy. Another favorite is the Taco pizza - plenty of taco meat with a healthy covering of cheese. When you pick it up, they keep the lettuce and sour cream separate so you can put it on later so the lettuce doesn't wilt. (We usually get a package of taco Doritos and crunch that on top of the pizza to give it an extra texture.) another standout is there all All Meat pizza - a large will feed in army! There are so many toppings on these pizzas - I love it!! Staff is friendly and helpful and the service quick. When you eat in, you order at the front and they bring your order to the table when it's ready. For those who are gluten sensitive, they have traditional gluten-free crust and a cauliflower gluten-free crust. We decided Mama's Pizza on pacific street would be great for dinner. Ordered the large all meat pizza and half an order of onion rings! Pizza was excellent crispy edge to the crust and perfect amount of toppings we requested both cheeses and mushrooms and they certainly obliged the onion rings were fried just right and certainly are the best in Omaha! I have yet to dine in at any establishment this coved season yet, but have been trying any local restaurants take out or curbside and today's choice was Mama's Pizza in La Vista. The ease of ordering online and paying for it was remarkable, so I ordered the Italian Sausage sandwich with a side of onion rings in no time, was asked what kind of car I had and was told to pick it up in 30 minutes. The curbside pickup was on the east side of the building with six markers with their phone number to call when you arrive. So I called and my meal came out within seconds. When I got home the meal was wonderful. I was not expecting the sausage flavor but picked up the Italian Sausage flavor soon. The peppers were a bonus. The onion rings were wonderful, some of the best in town. There were several items on their menu I want to try, so I will be back soon. read more

Picked up a pizza around 3PM for a small birthday party. Had never tried Hawaiian with Canadian Bacon. Most all pieces had way to much pineapple and not hardly any Canadian Bacon. The last piece my wife had she picked off the pineapple ( 10 ) pieces and no Canadian Bacon at all. Ordered Extra Cheese and my wife said i would hate to see the pizza with regular amount of cheese. Told wife i would call the next morning and the manager said if i would have called the same day he would have refunded the whole amount but could only refund us for the remaining two pieces left over if i brought it back to the store. Guess we were suppose to leave the birthday party to get the full amount back. Very poor customer service. The man who i paid for the pizza said he appreciated our business.
