Food was good. The garlic knots are a must if you like garlic. My son liked the kids fettuccine alfredo but my daughter didn't like her cheese pizza. There were a few pieces of onion under the cheese and she found it. Kids were entertained between watching sports on tv and the kids menu that came with a toy that they both liked. Something has changed here. We've been a few times before and always liked the place. They were playing Christmas music "by request" but I don't know who requested it as we were the only customers! We should have known when we arrived around 6pm and there wasn't another soul in there eating. No one even came in to pick up an order the whole time we were there. While the service was fine, the food was awful. The sauce that came with the mozz sticks tasted fishy. Then the pizza.....it looked good but the flavor was overpowered by basil and that horrid sauce. We stopped by for lunch and decided to try a few different menu items and take leftovers home for dinner. The pizza was good. I would definitely recommend grabbing one of their specialty pizzas. Staff was attentive and friendly. I can't speak on the ambiance too much as we went when they were slower. The restaurant looked clean. Mid-work day hungers and the season has brought us together again. It was wait to be seated today. There was one server and the manager working tables. They did mention that to everyone coming in understandably so in this day and age were you have to apologize for lack of staffing sadly. That is not the fault of the server and probably not the fault of the manager today either. It's the unfortunate situation our economy is in. That's a whole different issue! Now the good stuff :) The Oktoberfest is a must have every fall. Noticed the new Whiskey Business and was craving brisket too. Works out wonderfully that they offer half/half style!! The whiskey business was fantastic! The cream cheese, the whiskey bbq, and the brisket just married so well together. Definitely another favorite of theirs. The Oktoberfest was a little lacking in sauerkraut but was still delicious. The peach Busch was good to go with both sides of the pizza in my taste at least. It was an overall good visit. The ladies were working the room the best they could today and that's okay. We didn't get plates but thats fine by us! We got checked on a few times then a bigger party came in and we kinda fell to the wayside. Asked about the fruit for the dessert pizza but it was blueberries. Maybe next season. Crab Rangoon very cheesy - needs the green onion and chips commonly included elsewhere. Pepperoni plenty of cheese and pepperoni. Crust is slight doughy(in a good way) and medium to thin. Tried the dessert pizza - crumbl, caramel, icing. Server didn't offer a fruit though I think menu mentioned. Different, but good. Like others better but kids approved. Great tasting food...but the service was meh. We finally got to try this pizza place in La Vista, where new establishments have been building in past couple of years. Decent sized place with a good menu options for pizza and bar food. Visiting for the first time and our first impression didn't start out well. We saw the "wait to be seated sign"...and we did. Two staff members (one from the bar) saw us and both didn't bother to greet nor acknowledge us. Popped into here on a Monday evening for a work get together. Its nice they have a private room to use. We had a variety of items to sample, I enjoyed the wings, had some BBQ and Parmesan garlic maybe? We tried a couple varieties of pizza as well and the pizza was doughy and tasty, the sauce was quite sweet and they did not skimp on the cheese. Overall not really my type of pizza, but a decent treat none the less. They have a full bar and helpful staff. I likely won't be back unless another work event or something calls me in but I won't be sad if we do. read more

I've heard lots of mixed reviews about this pizza on the famous Omaha Food Lovers Facebook page, so I had to try. I had the Crab Rangoon pizza that tasted exactly like a Crab Rangoon. The sweet and sour sauce is tangy and good with a little spice to it. It all definitely left a good after taste. Some say there's not enough crab on it I think it was the perfect amount. The 10" pizza was smaller than expected but still enough for 2 non-heavy eaters. I ordered at 4:30pm it was ready at 5:00pm. But, I digress. But, let me get to the meat of my visit (pun intended). The food was pretty doggone amazing. The Parmesan chicken wings were THE best I have ever tasted. I've tried Parmesan chicken all around. But, this place was like no other I've had before. So delish, that my buddies and I went back for lunch the next day JUST to have a big serving of them. Went to pick it up and was so glad I got takeout. 47,654 kids running through the place like it was Chuckey Cheese or something. Bar staff was a little slow on taking care of pick up orders but order arrived. Got back to my room excited to try the food. What a let down. The pizza wasn't bad. It had a good crust, good chicken pieces and good cheese. The sauce was some of the worst buffalo sauce I've had. Guess what, Same sauce on tenders and even a side cup of it. I think the flavor is there but something is making it sweet. No one wants sweet buffalo sauce unless that's what it's called. The food is good and the service was fine however on my recent visit 6/23/23 my daughter and I both had to have a pizzas re-made. One the kitchen messed up on and the other our server grabbed the wrong order. I get mistakes happen - they offered to make us new ones however we didn't even get I am sorry from the manager because we had to wait longer to receive our food or hey here is a percentage off your meal because we messed up. I had become familiar with Pizza West after trying their pizza at the "Taste of La Vista" event one year. I finally decided to go back with my two young sons, 4 and 6. We had decided to go here because I wanted pizza but not a buffet. So here we were on a Wednesday, and it happens to be buffet night. So, we went for the buffet. Prices were $10, adult and $6.50, children. The buffet had a variety of salad and toppings, which of course the kids skipped. When we were there, the hot selections consisted of four pizzas, a dessert pizza, and two dry and old-looking pastas. One thing that was missing was a side...something! Anything! Most buffets have some type of bread or at least fries or something. But nothing here. Just pizza. The kids filled up on pepperoni and hamburger pizza, and I went back several times for Gyro pizza. The pizza is good and large, but I gave PW 3-stars because of the poor buffet selection and price. Price for my two kids and I was $24.73 (no drinks or addons). Could have gone to several other pizza buffets for the same price or less and gotten much more variety. read more

I've been to this location a few times and the best recommendation I can make right off the bat is: get the buffet. Not necessarily because the food is better, but at least it'll be quick. On this occasion, I came in with some friends and it was kind of busy. We were seated right away, but it was more like "dumped at a table." The hostess seemed more interested in getting back to socializing with people coming and going. I even had to hand the menus out to my friends after she just tossed them in a pile. In all the years I've lived near Pizza West I have never actually tried their pizza until now. I should have done it sooner! The restaurant is located in a strip mall near Beyond Golf. I can't speak much for the atmosphere of the restaurant because both times I've eaten their pizza I ordered out. when I went inside I noticed they have a well-stocked bar with local craft beer. I've tried their taco pizza and a BBQ style pizza. Both of them had perfect thin crust that was crispy on the outside and perfectly chewy on the inside. The toppings and sauce had a great flavor. I gobbled mine down so fast I shed a tear when the box was empty. The only real downside to Pizza West is the price. The sticker shock can be overwhelming when you're used to Domino's and Pizza Hut. Luckily they have daily specials and coupons that they've been sending to my house. Jackpot! Overall I was really impressed with Pizza West however I can't give him 5 stars until I eat inside the restaurant to better experience what they have to offer. read more

And the croutons are heavenly. I assume they're the same as their garlic bread? idk, but please don't judge me as I put the entire container on my plate. Step two - Pizza, not wings. Just my .02. I've tried both the Popeye-Roni and the Chicken Bacon Ranch. Both were delicious and HUGE slices. A side salad and one piece of pizza had me feeling like I couldn't eat another bite. Definitely be patient when you dine in over the lunch hour, though. It's pretty clear that this place is a favorite and it can get a little crowded.
