A few signs warn not to move the tables, but one end of the big dining area is often used for group meetings so I think tables in that section get moved. I know food is a subjective thing but for me personally, the slices I had here are as good of New York style pizza as you will find here in Omaha. I had the Roni (pepperoni, in case you didn't pick up on that) and an olive/mushroom slice. These are the daily slices and it was nine bucks for both. Nice value. Perhaps I was hungry but the pepperoni was as good a slice of pizza as I've had here in Omaha. The crust was thin and perfectly crisp. Both slices were excellent. The location is on 25th, just north of Farnam. Best to enter for parking off of 25th. There is ample seating and the service was really good for my quick stop in. I look forward to trying the whole pies and other options they have.

The best part was the crust but it wasn't outstanding. The sauce was nothing special. The toppings were just okay. At $4.50 a slice, it is a fair value. If this place is just going to compete on location, maybe it can survive. The nearest competitor is Izzy's Pizza. I don't care for Detroit-style and the owner is highly political. I would never patronize Izzy's. Zio's has lots of toppings and sells by the slice. It also has pesto sauce. Many Omaha places now have those fancy Italian wood-burning ovens with very different toppings. Via Farina is a favorite. Dante is also good. Tasty Pizza (three locations) is low-priced but high quality with good toppings. There's also the cheese that can be added. This place is better than Domino's, but that's not saying much. In a way, Papa John's is better than VIP. Finally, it was 83 when I stopped in for lunch and it wasn't cool inside. A/C not running. Not good.
