Food is always good no matter what I get. Really like the pizza & Philly steak sandwiches.

My neighborhood association/pool recently did a fundraiser at Lansky's and they were so easy to work with. I always forget how close they are to my house and I've been eating there more frequently lately. The Philly sandwiches are great (choice of toppings, super fresh bread) and the pizzas rival Sortino's (or better!) in my book. My spouse and I got a "giant" combo and we were eating leftovers for 2 days so it was a good value. It's easy to order takeout for pickup online or eat in their spacious dining area. They have a party room available for a group gathering or event. There are so many other things on the menu I want to try. Also, I love supporting local businesses! read more

Very bad customer service when you are on hold for over 25 minutes and try calling back and saying please hold with a poor attitude like they hate there job I will say this place has gone down hill in the last couple of years so if you want to wait on hold and be rudely answered PLEASE HOLD go some where else read more

We have been coming here for ages and always like it. Today it was extremely quiet with only a few customers. Order at the counter, get a number, and they bring it to your table. There's a salad bar too. Bookguy ordered his usual Philly 2 with meat, onions, and mushrooms. At first he accidentally ordered the giant size but soon got that sorted to the medium. I ordered a veggie calzone with mozzarella, mushroom, olives , peppers, and onions. The crust was not too thick, but flavorful and I did need a knife to cut it. It was a large portion, full of the good stuff so I have more for tomorrow. It comes with a little container of marinara, which I like and wanted more. We both enjoyed our food and I finished with a thick, rich black and white cookie. We had pizza here and also lasagna, both delicious enough to order again. They also have bottled beer. We plan to keep coming back here, especially when Bookguy wants a delicious Philly. read more

The hamburger on the pizza is very fine like small crumbles. It had the taste of being in the fridge cooked with no seasoning. Plus I had a salad and let my Mom eat the last of it and the counter person gave us a rough snort. My Dad said the spaghetti sauce was very sweet. This has been an Omaha favorite for years. The calzones are huge and really good! I could only eat half of it so it's a good choice for leftover! We also got the self service salad bar, it's was so so. Lettuce was brown. There wasn't much there to pick from. Just ok. I would of rated it higher however, the place is in need of an upgrade. Tables and chairs are broken and incredibly worn. My son had his chair break on him. While the main course was great, the overall experience was a 5. I would still say try it, see for yourself. The place could really use a face-lift. It's looking tired and neglected. We had a roast beef sandwich. It was tough and cold. They forgot the French fries. Wife and I ordered philly sandwiches and ravioli. The sandwiches were dry and hers had a piece of cheese the size of a quarter buried deep in the meat instead of covering the top like normal. When wife tried to explain, the manager decided to belittle my wife by first coming up to her and saying, what's the problem is a sarcastic tone. My wife tried to explain what was wrong with the sandwich at which time the manager stated that the cheese must have shrunk and then said "what do you want me to do about it" and not is a poliet way, more like, "so what". My wife came back to the table with tears in her eyes and I then took the sandwich up and stated that a new sandwhich needed to be made, at which time the manager said that I "had to say please and thank you first". Now my wife is 70 years old, and I am 65, and obviously the manager who seemed at least half our age knew nothing about old school manner in a restaurant when dealing with customers. I stated that we were not the ones that made the mistake and that something in the line of "Im sorry, we will fix that for you" was more in line than having me saying please and thank you. The manager then said we can leave the resturant and they would refund the money at which time I said fine, and we left. Been going to that restaurant probably long before any of the employees were even born and never had any problems. But this old school guy will contact the main office and let them know to run the numbers because they just lost at least 10 years' worth of business from us over a piece of cheese that probably cost 20 cents. Its bad enough the price of going out to eat is almost too expensive for anyone, and to be treated like the customer should feel priviliaged to even be in the place and being served. read more

I can't remember the last time I ordered pizza from Lansky's...or have I ever? Regardless we did last night and it was delicious! Ordered a hamburger with onion and black olives with extra mozzarella and an italian sausage with extra mozzarella. Loved the hamburger and the italian was very good as well. I found my new favorite pizza spot! I'm sure in late or not. Whatever... So I am a creature of habit. But I just got tired of eating at the same pizza spot. So I just randomly chose Lansky's and the cheeseburger pizza is sooo good. Now the first time I ordered (online of course because...Corona) I accidentally ordered a mini sized pizza for two people lol. But I got it right the time after that. The chicken salad is really good. I also tried the mushroom & steak pasta & it's literally just that, might have to season it a bit but still pretty good. Definitely will be back. read more

First time trying Lanskys. Walking in, I noticed how clean the restaurant looked and how friendly the staff was. I ordered the Baked Chicken Alfredo and the cheese ravioli as the appetizer. The ravioli was pretty good. The baked chicken Alfredo was amazing.. best Alfredo I've had in a long time. Great portion size too. Overall, it was a great visit. I've been here a few times and the food is very good. See pics. This last time, I got the beer cheese lasagna and it was filling. I've been to both locations, but at this one I've mostly just had non pizza foods. Their pizzas are very good as well. But the previous visit, I had their Philly beef sandwich and it was AWESOME! My aunt loves this place and we went this last time for her birthday. She chose. Yay! Clean. Friendly staff. Prices are good. Family friendly. They do have a larger area for groups. A large spaghetti with sauce was 10 bucks. I'm totally fine with that but they're definition of large and my definition of large are two different things. I got 10 cents worth of spaghetti and a bucks worth of sauce . The spaghetti didn't even halfway fill up the container it came in . Huge waste of money and not a value for your buck that's for sure . You could have doubled the portion size of spaghetti and still made money on me hand over fist. It seems a shame to lose customers over things like value for your buck which are important nowadays. Wife and I stopped around 1:30 after the lunch hour on a THU, maybe 6 ppl in the whole place. They said "system was down" but took our order and payment and gave us a number. We sat patiently for almost 30 minutes, then when we asked where our food was, they asked what we ordered and admitted they hadn't prepared anything. No apology, just indifference and the excuse of "system down". Worst customer service EVER! Didn't even offer a refund. I demanded they refund and we left. Not going to award this crap service. Food might be good, I'll never know now. With that few customers in the store you'd think they'd be hyper-aware of their customers since computers were down. Nobody gave a damn. Looks like the grease problem at Lansky's hasn't been solved. We went to Lansky's a couple more times during these past few months after I submitted my older review, and the food kept getting greasier with each visit. We wanted to believe that this problem would be rectified over time so today we gave Lansky's another chance & ordered another pizza, and yet again the pizza is greasier than the last. With this one the cheese falls off instantly when you attempt to take a slice, and the crust is so soggy that it won't stop folding/rolling up. Only half of the pizza was actually edible enough for me to eat (after soaking up the grease with some paper towels that is), while the rest was far too heavily saturated with grease for me to eat because the cheese wouldn't stay on, and frankly I don't feel safe consuming something with THAT much grease. It also appeared that the dough wasn't cooked all the way through in some parts of the pizza. I even had family complaining about spitting out raw dough. This is the worst pizza I have ever had from here. The pizzas here used to be fairly decent a while back, but for the past few months they have gradually decreased in quality over time to the point where I don't know if I should recommend buying pizza here, or anything from here really anymore because the other food also tends to be of similar inadequacy as of recent. Maybe they'll see this rating & make some improvements to where I can MAYBE come back in a year or two, but for now I'm going to have to stay away from this place. Mixture of reviews on this Lansky's and I'm going to rate mine on my last 3 visits there. The only reason I go to this Lansky's is that the location is convenient and I get a craving for the baked chicken alfredo. The dish is cheesy, hot, and plentiful. Pretty good food. Let me point out a few things about the place that are not so good though: 1) The last few times I've been there, the person taking the orders has not been very nice. Pointed, impolite, ungrateful, and unpleasant. Placing the order feels like I've interrupted her day. It has been 3 different people too! It feels like they just see this as a job and to hell with trying to do it to the best of their ability and make people feel nice about being there. As an example, after dinner I went up to get a 'to go container' and was told (in an annoyed tone), "they're over there" with a dismissive hand gesture aimed in the vicinty of the soda machine. Well gee, sunshine, I didn't know you kept them "over there". 2) The prices are excessive. Get this. I ordered a ONE TRIP salad bowl (a cereal bowl) and was charged $6.00! Yes, SIX DOLLARS. For iceberg lettuce, a choice of about 8 toppings, and dressing. SIX DOLLARS for about .80 cents in food. Absolutely ridiculous for a ONE TRIP cost. That really pissed me off. 3) This place is dirty and dingy. In serious need of a cleaning and upgrade. Tables wobble, seats are grimy, windows filthy. DO NOT SIT NEAR THE OVERHEAD AIR CONDITIONER! When that thing kicks on, you'll swear you're on the flight line of an active military installation with fighter jets taking off. The people, prices, and facility make me give this a 3 star rating and I almost gave it 2 stars. Get it together, Lanskys. SIX DOLLARS for iceberg lettuce? Really?? read more

On my quest to find decent pizza in Omaha we tried this place. I didn't go in or look at the menu before, I was just handed this take out pizza, so my review may be a little one dimensional for now. After eating several slices of pepperoni I have come up with a new category for pizza like this. It's called joke pizza. The crust is way too thick and soggy, it's more like French bread with way too much cheese, adequate sauce and not near enough toppings. It's looks just like cheesy bread you would get when your driver from Dominos is late with your order and has to make up for it somehow, so he gives you consolation cheesey bread. Sorry your pizza is one hour late, here is some bread. So, you can see why I came up with this new category called joke pizza, because it's so far from what good pizza should taste like I go into tangents of horrible jokes about pizza. As my endless pizza quest continues, hopefully I will uncover less jokes and more tasty pie. And to the good people who love this place and think it's great, like my husband, that's great, I know it's good and great, for you, but I'm just particular when it comes to pizza, that's all. Had the worst experience I have ever had in all the years I have been going to Lanskys. They were not very busy, there was a small party in the back and very few customers in the dining room. We has a small table of 8 people. We all ordered one after another. Our food came out in shifts, not unexpected but the time between was ridiculous. We never did all get our food. One of our group didn't get food until we were leaving and they still had to ask 3 times what was ordered. I've never had service this bad anywhere. I wont be going back. read more

My boyfriend has always told me that Lansky's has the best pizza in Omaha, and the other night he brought home his own personal idea of a sampler for me. I believe I had the chicken penne pizza, which was delicious. Great toppings and crust. I also had a wing (jerk sauce?) that was supposedly mild but was too spicy for me. (Yes, I am a wuss.)
