I called to order carry out and was placed on hold. After waiting 8 minutes, I hung up and called again. Someone answered and I told them what happened and she said "sorry, what is it you want?" I gave her my order and the name for pickup and was told it would be ready in "about 20 minutes." When we arrived for pickup 24 minutes later, there was a very slow moving line at the counter. When I finally got to the front, I was told they had no order for that name. Seriously? So I reordered and waited while they prepared the pizza - We ordered a "King Pepperoni." About ten minutes later, I was told they had "found" my original order(I didn't ask where it was hiding???). So I paid and brought the pizza home. By then it had been more than an hour since I ordered it and the pizza was stone cold. Not only that, it tasted like cardboard. We have occasionally ordered Lansky's before and it was better, but this one sucked bad. The toppings were thin, very little sauce , minimal cheese and the whole thing lacked taste. Yummy pizza is good even when it's cold, but this was not yummy. For nearly $30, I expected better. Between the pointless phone wait, the "who cares" attitude, the temporary lost order and the cold, dry, tasteless pizza, it is unlikely I will ever have Lansky's again. read more

Being so close to where we live, only a couple of times have stayed and eaten. Last time we ate sitting at a table I will say it was 'sticky' .....so say this for anyone to check and see if they have been cleaned, but also owners/manager to be aware of it We 'usually' buy the Philly sandwiches, then take them home. WHY? well they seem to do a better job of them than most other places near me. Two things that we like and want to make a reader aware of is; A. they actually fill the buns with meat...now that might not seem like a major event but consider how often you buy a burger and when checking realize only about 1/2 of the bun is actual meat? They offer onions and mushrooms for toppings, at a cost. B. When you order fries, we only get 1 order, because they are much larger than anyplace else, in this area. BUT!, they are the standard 'fake' fries as I prefer to call it. They are mushed potatoes taken out of a bag in the freezer. BUT!, what is offered is generous. It does take longer than you would respect from most places, but that is because they are NOT made ahead. I recommend it!. We had the cheese bread, it is loaded with cheese and served with a tasty marinara. We also had the Primo pizza. Fresh toppings and loaded with cheese, I highly recommend. The staff was SUPER friendly and the price is reasonable. Definitely going back, maybe I'll try the Omaha location. read more

Lansky's has been one of my favorite places to eat pizza for quite a long time. If you want a nice flavorful pizza with plenty of toppings and a thin crust, this is the place to be. One of my other favorite items is the Italian sausage calzone It's giant and a very good value the marinara sauce they give you with the calzone has big chunks of tomatoes and a really good flavor. I'm not a big marinara fan, but I do like theirs a lot. I wish that they had a few more beer options but it's not about the beer here it's about the food! read more

Lanskys food is generally pretty good. Today, I ordered online as I usually do, and ordered a 'Giant' Philly, Mac N Cheese without the crumb topping, and three white frosting cookies, don't ask. I went and picked it up and I'm not sure if they changed the menu, but the Philly is so small; not even worth the $8.20 I paid for it. I am going to attach a photo. Also, the Mac N Cheese had crumb toppings and I brought it back to them and they said it was made that way, but we could tell that it was just sprinkled on. And they had to ask what frosting cookies we wanted. THE FOOD: The Philly was okay, the fries were horribly soggy, I had to reheat them in my oven, and the Mac N Cheese was bland and not cheesy at all. We ordered linguine with beer cheese sauce and rigatoni with beer cheese sauce. The rigatoni is really penne. The sauce is thick and tastes like beer cheese soup. It was good. As a former employee I have to say this is one of the worst restaurants in Council Bluffs. To work for, and to eat at. There are many unsanitary and frankly disgusting areas in the back and I feel bad for the poor suckers that pay the outrageous prices. Not to mention the owner of the place is not a good person that should be supported. I'm not an aficionado when it comes to the ruben sandwich, but I honestly think this one holds it's own. Plenty of meat, the sauerkraut was not over powering and the bread was great. The restaurant was clean and service was great. Two others in our party ordered the French dip and said it was not very good - the meat looked dry too. Another hit for someone else in our party was the meatball sandwich. The Hawaiian pizza was also ordered and comments on it were positive (she never gets overly animated about anything, so just positive comments is a good thing - LOL). Slightly older building, but excellent food! I have had a variety of food at this location and while I recommend the pizza, my wife and I also love their French Dips. Ordering is simple, go up through the salad bar line (participate or do not) and then order. They provide a number and will bring the food out to your table when it is available. If you want what might be considered appetizers early, let them know. Oh, which brings me to their onion rings- the best, in my opinion. They are cracker-based versus fish batter. Love them! It wouldn't hurt them to refurbish some of the insides- perhaps new carpet, stable children's seats, and ceiling tiling, but the chairs, tables, and everything needed for a dining experience is perfect. read more

This was my first time eating at the CB location. They don't have much that's gluten-free, but that doesn't surprise me. I ordered the steak salad. It needed some seasoning, so I added a lot of salt and pepper. Maybe salads aren't their specialty? Hey are known for philly cheesesteaks, or so I have heard. Last Friday, I ate food from the CB Lansky's twice in one day. Ok the first time was a going away lunch at work (not for me) and my manicotti with bolognese sauce and a meatball was quite satisfying. I also ate an onion ring and it just might be the best onion ring I have ever tasted. Naked, no ketchup, nothing. Fast forward, hubby comes to pick me up (we have two cars, but like to commute together) and we didn't feel like cooking or eating the left overs for dinner, so I say, let's go to Lansky's. We order at the counter and take a number. The staff is very friendly. I had a philly steak sandwich with mushrooms and onions and it was meh. He had a decent pesto pasta that blew the sorry ass pesto dish we had a well-known Omaha Italian restaurant out of the water. Would I eat here or take out again? Probably. But only for the food not the ambience. It is starkly lit like an airport waiting area and feels just about as comfortable. But there is plenty of seating and it is flexible if you have a big group. Oh and they serve beer. They list longneck and draft. Oddlly, the draft is a longneck that you pour for yourself into a chilled glass stein. Gotta love it. read more

We had a group of 10, 8 of them had to have their French Dip sandwiches but I had the loaded Philly and was very, very pleased with it. I shared it with a "French dipper" and even she was pleased with it and said she didn't realize they were that good here! Big fan... I would go here before pizza king, especially since they are next door.
