I haven't been to Pizza West for several years and work nearby and thought I would try it on my lunch break. Service was bad as I walked in and stood at the counter for 5 minutes and had to get attention from the cook staff. I did not get pizza as it was going to take too long and opted for salad bar. $11 I was charged and I thought well must be a good salad bar... Barely any salad left, no proteins available as they were all empty. I was very disappointed and will never go back. I'm not sure if staff was short but in my opinion- my experience is unacceptable. The place on Maple is small, and not a large staff so service is a bit slow but the product is good.. about $80 bucks for a jumbo pizza, a small pizza, couple salad bars, kids meals are large, sandwich, a jumbo cinnamon dessert pizza and sodas. Really good food and great service. We have only been there one time but we are going back for sure. We want to try a few more menu items. Well the first time we were there I had chicken fettuccine Alfredo. It had large slices of chicken on top of a bed of Alfredo and fettuccine. It tasted and looked delicious, it was so good we went back a few days later. Well I ordered the same, it did not look or taste the same at all. We love coming here! We're suckers for salad bars and their salad bar is top notch! I enjoy that you can order pizza by the slice and they have unique takes on pizza combinations including fun spins on unique monthly pizza combos that match seasonal and regional likes. Service is usually great and the manager owner likes to give kids a small piece of raw dough to play with. As you can imagine, this is a kid friendly establishment with games/vending machines. There is also a small bar here with draft and bottled beer. Pizza is pretty solid for the most part! I also get the wings here which are ok if you're not in the mood for pizza. Very disappointed in our order. We ordered a half Whiskey Business and half Flyin Hawaiian. I have attached a photo of the brisket side. There were only two small pieces on the whole side. The rest was basically just a cheese and bacon pizza. The Hawaiian had very little pineapple and jalapeños, and 2 small dabs of cream cheese on the whole side. It was basically a cheese and Canadian bacon pizza. With how expensive restaurant food is, had I known it would lack ingredients I would've gone elsewhere. A large party of ours stopped by for lunch recently and it was very good! They had a party room to accommodate us and lo and behold, they had a very sanitary salad bar! It had a nice selection of lettuces, vegetables, toppings and dressings, and I loved it. Another nice feature was the fact that you could order pizza by the slice or by the pie. In spite of our large party the staff gave us great service. I really enjoyed my slice of pizza, and tried the Parmageddon. Their crust was nice and crunchy and the sauce was tasty. We became fans of Pizza West in La Vista, so now that the second location opened on West Maple, we are glad to have one closer to home. The customer service is always great - servers are quick, friendly and helpful. It's a great casual spot with a party room available. The pizza is great, they offer a lot of unique, specialty pizzas. The taco pizza is my favorite, probably the best taco pizza I've ever had. Some other favorites are the Popeye-roni and Flying Hawaiian. The prices are reasonable and there are daily specials as well. You can also get pizza by the slice, which I think is the best deal. There is always a pizza of the month with a specialty pizza featured monthly. My favorite Pizza of the Month was the Spicy Chicken Taco - wish they would make that one a permanent on the menu! Service was great, ambiance was nice- I appreciate the kid friendly environment and wikki sticks they provide for entertainment. On a recent Saturday night the place was full before 6pm, I think the place is probably a popular stop for the mobs of people wrapping up soccer games at tranquility. Food wise it was just ok. I do appreciate that you can order pizza by the slice and they have a nice variety of specialty options in addition making a slice your own by choosing your own toppings but honestly, I would prefer to go another half a mile down the road to old Chicago if I am in the mood for a pizza. Unfortunately we have loved Pizza West for quite some time. We did get a the Popeye-Roni with plastic around the "hand cut" pepperoni once. We forgave them for that, mistakes happen. It is sad that they recently added their "popular" Crab Rangoon pizza to they specialty pizza menu and I could. It be more disappointed. The picture from Facebook made the pizza look amazing with large chunks or crab, it was far from amazing. The pizza was basically chees pizza with, what I am told is a crab mix. It has what I am told emulsified crab mixed into cream cheese with green onion. It is a shame that this is on their menu and I paid a specialty pizza price for a cheese pizza. read more

When we have ordered pick up, they always get our order right. One time we arrived early to for a pick up order and they offered us a free drink while we wait. The first time we dined in was on mother's day and was a little busy but the staff did a great job keeping up with everyone! Their mozzarella sticks are incredible and have more flavor than any other. I really enjoy you can get a single slice of their specialty pizzas. Two slices of those is more than enough for a meal. Someone gave us a gift card for this place so we tried it out.
