Walked over to our favorite neighborhood spot tonight to celebrate a milestone. We ordered on the app so it was ready when we got there - super easy! The pizza was phenomenal as always. My go to is the spinach feta. It's got the salty cheese with the perfect balance of spinach, sesame seed, and red onions. The crust is just perfection. The patio is super cute and cozy. There's about 22 chairs packed in to make sure everyone can enjoy the space. It was pretty shaded at dinner time (in April). Overall the best way to spend our Friday night! I've been recommended to try this place for years, and I can definitely see why! I took a few pizzas to go for me and my friends, and they were made very quickly on a Saturday afternoon around 4 PM. I was surprised when I entered that this is a very casual spot for you order at the front, and there are a few items for sale on a rack nearby, then see yourself in the area of tables on the other side of the shop. I got the Hawaiian pizza, and for eight dollars this was an amazing deal! I think we set this place apart is the high-quality pizza dough they use. I absolutely loved the texture of the crust, which was slightly chewy, and puffy, just the way I like it. There was a great ratio of toppings as well, I tend to like a lot of sauce, which this hat! Located in the former building of much beloved Lo Sole Mio on 32Ave, the new location sticks to the tried and true. Walking in the front door, the bar is now seating for approximately 50 customers on chairs with small tables, plus upholstered bench seating along the wall. The bar itself has been repurposed for restaurant use and the first dining room is for ordering, with a pizza oven kitchen in the back and cases holding salads, drinks, deserts, and frozen pizzas to take home and bake. The salads are the standard ho hum chopped iceberg with two tiny tomatoes but the pizza is the star of the show! Pick up drinks from the coolers as well as salads and desert, then pick a table. Your name will called when the pizza is ready. This time Bookguy and I both ordered 8 inch, 4 piece vegetarian pizzas. His was loaded with mushrooms. Mine had a variety of veggies: pizza sauce, mozzarella, black olives, tomatoes, spinach, onion & mushroom. They looked like works of art with ample toppings and crispy thin crust. Perfection! This location is still a work in progress with the limited seating and the third dining room given over to storage for now. There is outdoor seating, but it isn't in use yet. My favorite pizza place in Omaha!! Tasty pizza has some amazing pizza and it's as adorable a lunch as you can get. Their small pizzas are just perfect for one person (you might even get a slice to save for later). They even have a huge block of Parmesan cheese you can grate yourself for your pizza (and a bunch of other things to top off your pizza with). Spousal Unit and I went with grandkiddies to their favorite pizza spot. I can understand why. The menu is fixed (as in "I can't add anchovies?" - not that I would) but has great variety. I'm not normally a fan of plain cheese pizza but theirs is amazing. New York style crust, thick (dare I say "unctuous") sauce, and a mix of mozzarella and other cheeses. Perfecto! We also ordered a bacon and Gouda pizza that was unexpectedly good. Perfectly cooked crust, excellent sauce, enough toppings to complement each other. The icing on the cake: fresh "shave it yourself" Parmesan from a quarter of a wheel on the counter. I gotta get my local pizza place to try this... MmmMmmm Tasty pizza was just so good! We had to try their bacon Gouda pizza which was perfect. We got the large size. The crust is the tastiest I've ever had. I can't get over the texture. It's just so delicious and perfect! I love try at you can grate your own Parmesan (use the gloves!) lol. That added a bit of extra fun to our meal. A friend and I ordered carry out from here the other day and while I thought it was good, I was not wowed. We got a Pepperoni and a Hawaiian with added jalapeños, and I felt like both pizzas were lacking in sauce. I also wasn't crazy about the canadian bacon that they used on the Hawaiian - too thick cut and not a lot of flavor. They aren't skimpy on toppings here though and I loved the chewy crust. I would really recommend this place if you're looking for takeout! I tried it for the first time and went with a classic, pepperoni, and I was very satisfied. The ordering process is really easy through their app, or you can call in or order in person for takeout (or dine-in). My pizza was actually ready a little early, so it was great not having to wait. It also traveled well and still tasted fresh about 30 minutes later! As for the pizza itself, it was a hit with both me and my friends from out of town! I thought the crust was a nice middle ground between thin and thick. It had structure and some crunch but was still substantial. There was a good amount of pepperonis on both the large pie and the small one (which is a personal size). Honestly, it was the perfect simple pepperoni pizza for a night in. They were also reasonably priced for the quality, and I know that there are rotating weekly specials that would make a large pizza even more of a steal. There are no substitutions on pizzas, but I do not take issue with that for my needs. Since moving to their new location, the experience has been much improved! Same amazing pizza, large dining area, good parking, better hours and cute outdoor patio (dog friendly!!!). Why you ask, not only is the pizza good, the crust is like the crust from a New York pizzeria, but you can get a small pizza for less than $7-8 dollars. Allowing you to mix it up and order several different pies. And they are not those little 6" pies either, it's an 8 incher. The only down side is if you order a menu pie, they will make no alterations. I really wanted the Gouda bacon pie with a tomato based sauce, but the wouldn't do it. It's basically long and skinny. Take a left as you enter. Order at the counter and then your name is called when the food is ready. They have many specialty pies. Note: no substitutions/additions of ingredients allowed. They always have one of their house pizzas on sale for something like $6. No matter how busy they are, it's never a long wait. I think this is because they are not wasting their time on customer "create a slice" type orders. I would give five stars just for how great the pizza is, the staff and fresh Parmesan cheese block, where else do you get that. But what really did it for me, after the pandemic she didn't raise or price gouge!!
