I loved Copps Pizza when they had their location at 72nd and Dodge. That location closed, so we were left with the ones in Shadow Lake and Gretna (both very far away). We decided to try our luck with delivery via DoorDash, to see if Copps held up to what we remembered in the halcyon days of the 72nd location. Well, let me tell you - it did NOT. Food is obviously way better when you eat it in the restaurant, but we're talking about pizza, so I think expecting delivery to be an okay form of ordering is not crazy. I know ordering with DoorDash, sometimes the Dasher is the one who forgot to grab something, etc. But the issues with my pizza were in the actual preparation of the pizza, so the onus was on Copps to get this order right, and they did not. I got the 8" Burnt Ends pizza for myself, and noted that I am allergic to onions so to remove them from the ingredients. That was entirely ignored and each and every bite was full of thin stringy onions. So I couldn't eat it at all, basically. Second issue with the order - I also ordered two sauces on top of my pizza, teriyaki and honey bbq. I received NEITHER of them and the pizza came with NO sauce on it at all (save for the cream cheese that was on it, which was also dried out). My husband got the Nacho pizza, and he was a fan of his, so that's at least good. But here is where I will note that these little 8 inch pizzas were NOT cheap in the slightest. You would think a child-sized portion of pizza wouldn't be too expensive, but they were $16 and $18 respectively. With Dasher tip, our total ended up being $48 for two 8 inch pizzas. I would say definitely eat in the restaurant for Copps if you can make it out to those locations, so that you can correct anything amiss. As a delivery option, though, I would avoid it entirely. read more

Bought 3pizzas tonight. They were not Copps quality. All crusts were very dry and skimpy on the toppings. Since they closed their Jones location have to drive 10 miles one way to this one. I recommend either the Burnt Ends pizza or their wings, but make sure that you get the wings charred. They are great for groups as well. We are visiting Omaha and went to Copps Pizza. The food was amazing. The service was outstanding and the ambience is that of a sports bar. It was very refreshing to see very reasonable prices on everything compared to California where we're from. A mixed drink was six dollars. A beer was five dollars. And the service staff were all friendly, kind and helpful with suggestions when we asked about the different tap beers and local beers they had. If you're ever in the Papillion area of Omaha, I would suggest that you try this place. it was amazing and the patrons were just as friendly as the staff. read more

We've been here a few times - mostly take out to go. Tonight we decided to stop here for dinner. #1 - CHELSEY IS A SUPERSTAR!! Probably one of the best bartender/waiters we've ever had. (And we told her so..a tip sometimes doesn't relay the true feeling of how the service was, so we definitely wanted her to know she was amazing and was killing it!!). She took our order..from memory no less!!..and hit it out of the park with a perfect order. She was busting her ass to get drinks and food to everyone on the bar. Service was a bit slow...but it is a Saturday night...we had a bam bam shrimp salad...it was excellent...shrimp was perfectly cooked..nice and crunchy..savory and sweet (strawberries were the perfect combo in the salad) Dean had Bills Hawaiian bacon, jalapeños...amazing burger...it was delicious ..the sweet potato fries fell short...they were not crunch at all ..mushy/soggy on the inside ....not good...Sonia had a wedge salad...it was a win! My family and I stopped in for lunch over the weekend. We really liked the place, it was clean and spacious. Our service was fantastic! We had the chicken Caesar wrap, a kids spaghetti, and a 12" stuffed crust super supreme pizza. The wrap was good and the fries were a hit too. Our pizza looked amazing ! And the toppings we very tasty. I will say I wasn't as impressed with the pizza flavor wise overall, kinda bland. It was okay but the crust just seemed like it was missing something. First time in Nebraska and this was my first meal out for lunch!! Did not disappoint! We got a couple cocktails, my tropical lemonade was tasty and refreshing on this hot day. Started with pretzel bites which were different than what I've had from Prezeltime/ the mall pretzel places- here MUCH better and had a 'from scratch' flavor? The server (I believe his name was Noah) was excellent with his friendly and sincere attitude and spot on recommendations. Came here for my birthday dinner this weekend. Located at the end of the main strip of Shadow Lake, so parking can be a little challenging. It was a very busy Friday night so we had a 35 min wait for our party of 7, understandably. Server was friendly and took our drink and appetizer order promptly. Apps came....our meals came....still no drinks. Apparently they were short staffed at the bar, which I would be understanding of if there didn't seem to be several people standing around. If your bar is that backed up, jump in and help! By the time drinks finally came, I was notified the beer I had order had run out. Very disappointing, especially by that point, we were halfway done with meals. They did offer a free dessert pizza for my birthday which was nice, but kind of a bummer experience overall. The food was decent. Comparable to any other pizza/bar food you can find. We had mozzarella sticks, pretzel bites, and truffle fries for apps - again, all ok, but nothing amazing. The crab rangoon pizza arrived without any wonton strips on it. Had to remind them of our wings order, so those came out late. Decided to try dine in for dinner this evening. Went around 5pm to hopefully avoid the rush. Waiter was friendly and informative when asked about the menu. Menu has a good selection of specialty pizzas including a variety of sauces and crusts to choose from. We went with the Backyard BBQ Pizza and a Margarita Pizza. Backyard has signature cream cheese sauce, pork burnt ends, smoked shoulder, baked beans, onions, baked slaw, and BBQ sauce. It was definitely different. Not bad. Not something I would get again. The cream cheese sauce does not generally overpower the pizza which is good but you can still taste it. I was not real fond of the beans either. Cost is about $12.00 for a 8 inch. Wife got the Margarita with signature cream cheese sauce, oil, garlic, tomato, fresh mozzarella, and basil. She said it was okay as well. $10.00 for a 8 inch. Menu also has a variety of salads, sandwiches and such to choose from. The restaurant has two levels to sit in, but it appeared that the upper level was closed when we were there. Also a nice bar with several big screen TVs. Overall not bad at all. Couple things to note - does seem just a tad pricey for the pizza. The only thing is the restaurant is not really adjusting for COVID. Door says you are supposed to wear a mask to enter, but I watched individual come in and be seated without a mask. Employees are wearing masks, but there is no social distancing between tables at all. I really wish they would have seen fit fit to emulate Cracker Barrel and Panera by closing some tables or outright removing them. Right now, it really bothers me when there are empty tables and booths throughout the restaurant and the hostess still sits groups directly beside and around you within that 6 foot bubble. We will opt not to do dine in again until things settle down with the pandemic. Give it a try. They also have a good takeout setup. read more

It was a-ok. Excited to try out this new spot, we ordered a variety of menu items for delivery. Placing an order online was easy. Delivery time was accurate. The pizzas... I like that they offer a variety, including some "unusual" ones. You have the option to customize each pizza too - adding or removing toppings, and selecting different sauces. I like that they offer a variety of sauces for your pizza to be created with. And yes, the cream cheese pizza sauce is pretty good. The crust was done nicely. The buffalo chicken was good. The jalapeño popper one was better. The others were ok. The wings... Big meh. They were overly greasy to me. And the hot sauce actually barely qualifies as medium. And the blue cheese dipping sauce was not good. The wings were decently meaty, which is good. I also liked the options they offered, including multiple sauces, all flats or drums, double dipped, etc. And the ranch dipping sauce was good. I liked that it was heavy on the dill. The fried things... Not bad. The jalapeño cheese curds had a nice kick to them. The fried gouda mac n cheese bites were tasty. But overall, a little mushy for preference. All in all, an a-ok meal. Coops has fantastic flavors in their pizza options. The combinations are not completely novel, but they add twists that make for good combinations. Most of the pizzas (maybe all) have a cream cheese sauce that also gives them a unique flavor. I think the spicy pizzas are the best and complement the cream cheese sauce best.
