It's good and fairly priced, no complaints for what it is. Sweet tea is actually sweet as well

We visited 72 Table and Tap in Ralston during Omaha Restaurant Week (always a great time to try out…read morea new place). They definitely had a "bar" vibe, with the bar at the center of everything, darts, a claw machine, and Golden Tee. Aside from that, it's a pretty "boxy" layout, but clean overall. The food we had was actually pretty good, though! We started with the Crab Rangoon Dip and Bacon Cheddar Donuts. Both were super tasty, with the dip having a sweet chili sauce on it to cut the heaviness, and the cheddar donuts almost being like fried balls of mashed potatoes. Yummmm, My husband and I got two different entrees. I had the normal cheeseburger, and it came with the cute "72" branded on the bun. I am a sucker for good branding, so loved that. It was just a basic burger, but cooked the way I like it, as if it was made on the grill at a back yard party. He had the Honey Habanero Chicken Sandwich and LOVED it. I had a bite and it was sweet and spicy at the same time - a great flavor combo. For dessert, we shared the Cinnamon Sugar Donut Holes, and they were very sweet, with a white icing for dipping, like usually comes on a cinnamon roll. They were tasty, but we were so full at this point, we didn't really get to eat too many of these, just a nibble! I would say as long as you go in knowing this is not fine dining, and are ok with the bar type ambiance, then 72 Table and Tap is a good place to eat or catch a game on their TVs.

Our server did a great job, no mistakes, and we all got what we ordered quickly. Our dishes were delicious! Personally, I wish my baked scampi had come out as soon as it was done, as the oil and cheese had separated by the time I got it. Otherwise, it tasted great. The bread was nothing special, it would've been a fantastic meal if the side of garlic bread was truly delicious enough to eat it all. Overall, this is a pretty cheap place to get a decent meal. The vibes are good, and the drinks are cheap-- I especially appreciate that you can get cocktails by the picture, this is so rare!! I would definitely come back again for a casual dinner, especially when trying to get a place for a group.

The City Pub is a cute little eatery in the La Vista area! I love that the area is starting to get…read moresome more businesses because I want it to succeed and become a new business park with lots of places to eat and shop. First off, the ambiance in The City Pub is nice and friendly, with astroturf accent walls, concrete floors, and a big cityscape transport map mural. There's a bar with lots of TVs to catch a game, and comfy booths and tables all around if you're only there to eat. The service was great, and we were checked on multiple times to make sure our drinks were full and our food was great. The beer was cold and crisp (I had two different ones, and both were awesome). I went with friends, and we all enjoyed our meals. We started with the Brusssels Sprouts and while it wasn't the largest serving, they were excellent with a balsamic and candied pecans adding to the tangy sweetness. Entree-wise, I got the meatloaf, and it came with tasty gravy, mashed potatoes, and steamed veggies. Not too heavy for being meatloaf, but big on flavor! My friends got the Caesar Salad and the Pub Burger. Both were large portions and they really enjoyed what they chose. The fun ambiance, amazing service, and crisp drinks, The City Pub is definitely a place to stop if you're in La Vista and hungry or thirsty!

The upstairs is a totally different vibe, more loungey with a midcentury flare, and patio facing the astro. The menu is classic american food but with flare. Their caesars comes on a stalk of romaine, the crab rangoon is vertical, and the pizza is fantastic. The drinks and food are GREAT, but I do really like the walkablilty to things around it as well as the game room making this a family friend and fun night venue in a usually quiet omaha suburb.

Review left December 2024. Well earned 5-star review. Jimbo's Diner…read more This restaurant is located in/next-to La Vista Keno. It does not smell of smoke. If you're into keno, you can play at your dining table. There are over twenty 4-tops, a dozen booths, and several party tables. Music is modern and sublime. You hear it, but it never overwhelms. You'll soon get numb to the intermittent "Keno calling". It does sound tempting to play when you hear that "the last game had a two thousand dollar winner". I have never played. Service is excellent at Jimbo's Diner. Kurt W. waited on me tonight and, like his colleagues have done previously, did a great job. I started with a BIG bowl of delicious beef barley soup. I recommend the soup, but perhaps the smaller cup-size next time. Daily specials include prime rib on Thursday nights. That is what brought me here originally. Sub-$30 prime rib! I'm now coming back to try other food. Today is a Monday and it is Mexican night at Jimbo's Diner. Taco baskets and enchilada dinners are on sale. None of the specials cost more than $10 tonight. Expansive menu. Something for everybody. Unless it's prime rib night, I'm guessing it's hard to exceed a $25 tab unless you're drinking alcohol. Food comes out pretty quick. I was about 1/3 full after my huge bowl of soup, so I finished with an inexpensive, tasty BLT sandwich with cottage cheese. I couldn't finish everything... An endless soda, soup, and a BLT sandwich came to $18.43 (December 2024). Next time I will skip the soup. Or have soup and salad. A bowl of soup and a sandwich with a side is too much food. I want to try the daily specials. The prime rib is excellent. Plenty of off street parking. A healthy meal for a decent price. I highly recommend Jimbo's Diner.
