chicken and fries

Hot and fresh fish. I recommend not coming here if you're in a rush or try ordering a head of time because they make you food fresh per order and that takes some time. I ordered the catfish fillets and fries. The only con is that I wished it was a bit more seasoned. I 7/10 recommend

Wanted to check this place out after seeing good reviews while in the area. You might miss it if you don't use your map, it's in a strip mall area behind a bank. It Definitely didn't disappoint! Surprisingly catfish is their speciality, given their name is chicken. It's one of the few, real southern cornbread battered catfish places I've seen in the Omaha area. Their fries are the thick, Louisiana style southern fries that go great with fried catfish. Or if you want tots, they have those too! All in all, I thought the food was flavorful, filling, and just the right amount of crispy!

Owner served me old food just redipped it in the grease. I called him out on this and he wouldn't give me a refund or a partial one. Look at the fries... and those blacked little rocks are supposed to be wings it wouldn't be bad if this didn't cost me $26 bucks.

I've been there twice now. The place is pretty simple, and smallish. The catfish is good, but could use more spice (I used a lot of hot sauce). Fries are great. I don't like that the cups and utensils are all paper and plastic and are thrown out with every meal.

Catfish and tots with a side of slaw

We usually like to each try something different when we eat somewhere new, but today we all three had the catfish. Boy was that the right choice, as we all ate every drop and declared it the best catfish we had had in many, many years, if ever! The fish was lightly breaded in the most perfect, crispy cornmeal crust. Beautifully moist, perfectly cook, and as tender as warm butter! Tots were super tasty and so was the slaw! This has set a standard for us all when it comes to catfish! So happy Yelp has led us to yet another fantastic find. We're sure to return next time we pass through

Chicken tenders and fries

Spotted this place on the way to an appointment. We had no idea what it was. It's a bit tucked away off of L street. Decided to give it a shot on the way home for lunch. It's not a large menu. They tend to stick to the stuff they do well and oh boy, do they do some things well. I got the chicken tenders and fries and my fiancé got the Ranch Chicken Rice Bowl. We discussed getting some beignets and finally decided to go for the extra calories. The chicken tenders had good flavoring and were a decent size for the price. The fries you could tell were hand battered and they were fantastic. My fiancé enjoyed the rice bowl and said it was cheesy and had lots of good flavors. It was the beignets that stole the show for me. I'm not a sweets person generally, but these were so dang good. Light and fluffy and just the right amount of a warm and doughy inside. They are the type of food you close your eyes and just savor each bite. We will definitely be back sometime soon so I can try the catfish. Definitely an excellent place for lunch.

What a friendly staff. Some people came in behind us and were welcomed as if they were regulars. We bought a Groupon so we fixated on two burgers, but the young lady taking our order had us eating beignets and fried pickles with it. The pickles were spicy. The beignets memorable with Carmel or chocolate sauce. The burgers were delicious and the tater tots were good flair. We left full! The prices are not bad at all. Worth a try and a repeat visit.

Highly recommend!! We got the chicken teriyaki aioli rice bowls, catfish and beignets. It was all amazing and delish!!

Chicken Bacon Ranch Sandwich

Best chicken sandwich in Omaha, hands down. The one thing I have learned is that you need to add some spice to your chicken sandwich, it makes the flavor so much better.

It's a good mix of typical bar and grill food with some Tex-Mex food. The hash browns with my steak and eggs were perfect. The steak for being a breakfast one was decent sized and actually cooked to the medium rare I asked for. The divorced eggs are another standout. The staff was fast and friendly.

Snagged their three piece, with scrambled eggs and choice of sausage or bacon. Great eggs, and the sausage was delish! The french toast had like little crispy edges and it broke up the soft textures extremely well. We also snagged one of their steak street tacos just to try. Great steak flavor and because one of us is a spice ween, the green sauce was perfect! Now that Brisket Burger... is a TONNN of meat! Built to be sturdy the the brisket itself was very tender, very BBQ-ee, and unless you can unlock your jaw you'll definitely need to flatten her out a bit great bun (lil on the soggy side due to all the sauce/juice). The sweet potato waffle fries were crispy and about what you'd expect from frozen ones. Nice little side to go along! Sweet little outdoor seating, and plenty of space to park. They've even got an extension onto the building for gatherings, groups and parties it looked like!

72 Table & Tap - Crab Rangoon Dip

72 Table & Tap

We visited 72 Table and Tap in Ralston during Omaha Restaurant Week (always a great time to try out…read morea new place). They definitely had a "bar" vibe, with the bar at the center of everything, darts, a claw machine, and Golden Tee. Aside from that, it's a pretty "boxy" layout, but clean overall. The food we had was actually pretty good, though! We started with the Crab Rangoon Dip and Bacon Cheddar Donuts. Both were super tasty, with the dip having a sweet chili sauce on it to cut the heaviness, and the cheddar donuts almost being like fried balls of mashed potatoes. Yummmm, My husband and I got two different entrees. I had the normal cheeseburger, and it came with the cute "72" branded on the bun. I am a sucker for good branding, so loved that. It was just a basic burger, but cooked the way I like it, as if it was made on the grill at a back yard party. He had the Honey Habanero Chicken Sandwich and LOVED it. I had a bite and it was sweet and spicy at the same time - a great flavor combo. For dessert, we shared the Cinnamon Sugar Donut Holes, and they were very sweet, with a white icing for dipping, like usually comes on a cinnamon roll. They were tasty, but we were so full at this point, we didn't really get to eat too many of these, just a nibble! I would say as long as you go in knowing this is not fine dining, and are ok with the bar type ambiance, then 72 Table and Tap is a good place to eat or catch a game on their TVs.

Our server did a great job, no mistakes, and we all got what we ordered quickly. Our dishes were delicious! Personally, I wish my baked scampi had come out as soon as it was done, as the oil and cheese had separated by the time I got it. Otherwise, it tasted great. The bread was nothing special, it would've been a fantastic meal if the side of garlic bread was truly delicious enough to eat it all. Overall, this is a pretty cheap place to get a decent meal. The vibes are good, and the drinks are cheap-- I especially appreciate that you can get cocktails by the picture, this is so rare!! I would definitely come back again for a casual dinner, especially when trying to get a place for a group.
