Catfish Double Fillet, fried okra, and jacket fries.
    Danielle S.

They've got the whole package!! Service and food always the best! We got the fish fillets, fried okra, and jacket fries - hot, fresh and yummy! Fish was cooked to perfection and it was flavorful! I highly recommend this spot for great fish!

I thought I would try something a little different and ordered the fried catfish today. I'm not a fan of catfish, but I must say. I also had the collard greens and green beans and they were a nice compliment. I can't say enough about the two ladies behind the counter....they are always smiling, friendly, welcoming with tons of patience. They work very efficiently with the call in the orders and the customers walking in. You may think that the outside of the restaurant is not so pleasant, but trust me; the staff and the food will not disappoint you.

Shrimp Plate with coleslaw and hush puppies.

I have been working across the street from this little place for 7 years and only today after a fellow employee recommended it did I try it for the first time. It was my loss to wait this long. Get N Go Fish is small located in a row of buildings that is not much to look at. There is no window per se in the front so you can't see in and it is a solid door. No way to tell what is inside until you go in. Here is the thing, don't hesitate, go in. They have been serving fried fish and seafood since 1996. Had to do something right to stay around this long. Menu is available online. Lots of different types of fried fish. Good selection of sides as well. Inside is clean. Walk up to the counter to order. Recommend calling your order in. They are busy all the time. Calling in the order will help save the wait. Most orders take 20-30 minutes to cook up. I tried the shrimp plate today. Good sized Cajun battered shrimp. Crispy outside, not over cooked on the inside. Good taste. Plates come with two sides. I chose coleslaw and hush puppies. Both good. Also got an extra side of collard greens. Greens have a little bit of onion, ham and spice in them. Good eating. You also get a couple slices of white bread. Got a slice of cake for dessert. It was pretty good pound cake Overall my lunch cost just over $14.00. I enjoyed it and would eat it again. Next time I think I will try the oysters or the scallops. Staff is friendly. I will definitely be back. Give it a try.

Good catfish. Don't expect service with a smile. I guess they don't want you to hang around and would prefer you get your fish and go!

They definitely have/had some pretty high prices compared to other eateries in the area. I'm not sure if that is caused by cost of goods or location or what, but I think that did come into play when a lot of economic hardship is happening all over. Like I mentioned above, I DID like their food, but it definitely had to be a special occasion type of thing, due to the high prices. When we did go, I LOVED the Maryland Crab Dip. It reminded me of my favorite crab dip in the world, at the SweetWater Brewing Company in Atlanta. We also had the Green Bean Almandine that was on special last time we went and that was pretty good, but you have to be a green bean fan, for sure. I decided to try the sushi as my main dish last time, and had the Everything Crunch Maki, which consisted of cooked salmon, jalapeño, and cream cheese. It was pretty good, and had a little hint of spice to it from the jalapeño, which cut the heavy cream aspect. My husband had the Grilled Atlantic Salmon for his entree, and gave me a few bites. It was cooked well and the mushroom risotto below it was very flavorful and filling. The cute nautical ambiance and excellent service were always appreciated, so no complaints there either. I think if they had been in a different area with less expensive rent and cost of goods, I may have visited more often.

This spot was right by the hotel in Old Market, and we were early enough to get right in and grab a nice table (during happy hour, no less). The vibes are clean, nautical without being cheesy, and bright. The service was equally bright and helpful, and everything was flowing. On a super hot day, I had a Tom Collin's that was great and refreshing. Our group shared calamari with a top tier dipping sauce, an "aji verde" sauce that was new to me but I would buy it by the pint. We also shared their truffle fries and the side of mustard aioli was great as well. Best fries in a while. For my main, I got the blackened Mississippi catfish that was served over dirty rice, green beans, tomatoes, and a crawfish beurre blanc. It was as good as it sounds, I ate every bite on the plate. Okay, so let's recap: Amazing location? Check. Great service? Check. Good specials/happy hour? Check. Great food? Major check. Hard to top, I'll go here everytime I'm in the area and it was hard not to go back twice.

It was every bit as good as I had hoped. Shuck's knows seafood--and they know how to make dining fun. From their lively, engaging servers to their inviting atmosphere and unique menu offerings, everything comes together to create a memorable experience. Most importantly, the quality of the food consistently shines through. My wife and I ordered the Deep South Risotto, a delicious combination of fresh shrimp, Andouille sausage, and green beans tossed in a spicy, creamy risotto. We also enjoyed the Teriyaki Salmon Bowl, featuring perfectly cooked teriyaki-glazed salmon served over a blend of brown rice and red quinoa with tender sautéed broccoli. Paired with Shuck's famously ice-cold draft beer, these excellent entrées made for the perfect lunch before heading over to Big Ten Baseball at Charles Schwab Field Omaha. Gilberts serves more than just steaks, as I've been to the one in Tysons Corner and loved that one. There were four of us who came here for dinner... We started with cocktails, which took an odd amount of time to arrive at the table - we got half and then waited about 10 minutes for the other two to show up. Not sure what happened here, but those who got their drinks waited so we could all drink together and this made that moment a little off. We started with their Pretzel Crusted Onion Rings - WOW!! These things were HUGE!!! The thickest and biggest onion rings I've ever seen or had and they were tasty! The pretzel crust was very tasty too. I opted for their blackened chicken rigatoni for dinner. It was decent, but on the bland site. The roasted red pepper cream was interesting looking, but a scoop of blandness too. Overall I did like the flavor of the chicken and the sauce/texture was nice. This visit was decent, but slight delays in service and food being on the bland side makes me want to give it 4 instead of 5 stars.
