Amazingly moist carrot cake!

LOVE,LOVE,LOVE JIMBO'S!!! Had the $9.99 Wednesday Meatloaf special and it's enough for 2. And you can play KENO. What's not to love...Extra Tip....The dessert is every bit as good if not better than high dollar places for a fraction of the cost!

Blt with onion rings
Clare M.

We came for lunch right when it opened at 11:00 on a Tuesday. Our server, Leah was very friendly and knowledgeable. I had the Jimbo cheeseburger, my companion had the BLT with onion rings. The onion rings could have had a little more flavor, but it was great that they weren't overly greasy and didn't fall apart. The dining room was clean and well lit. The keno was not disruptive to the meal at all.

If you are looking for fancy dining, keep on driving by. Jumbos serves good food at a good price with friendly hometown service. The meals are no frills, but quality food. Sunday brunch goes until two. I had the Denver omelette, generous portion for the price and tasty. The hash browns were crispy just like I like them. Hopefully you like wheat or white toast, no fancy sourdough here. My toast was toasted well and well buttered.

No more BOGO burgers on Weds. Fine. But they took away all the really good burgers and now they're just regular diner burger. Closer Keno place still has great burgers on the menu at a Weds night special. Chips and queso is described as, "Jack cheese, tomatoes, red onion and cilantro simmered to perfection and served with house made chips." I guess the tomatoes, red onion green Chili's and cilantro are the ingredients of rotel because that's all this tasted like, canned cheese and rotel. Should've read between the lines. And the house they make the chips is a Tostitos factory. Spaghetti was actually pretty delish. Waitress told me they were packaged frozen meatballs but I wouldn't have known otherwise. Menu says it comes with 4 but i got three which was still plenty. Spaghetti sauce is house made and on the sweeter side. Garlic toast with it was good. They seem to be going a much cheaper route and cutting corners, sadly, like a lot of places. Servers here are all so sweet and attentive. Never ever have had a problem with service here! If you aren't satisfied with your meal, don't take it out on them. They didn't make the changes I'm sure.

Biscuit and Gravy Platter

Been wanting to visit for some time & finally had the opportunity. Didn't disappoint... Ordered the Biscuit & Gravy Platter and it was so good! Came out fast and hot and waitress was pleasant and efficient. She was on her own when I first came but was covering all the tables quickly with a smile on her face. Will be back for sure.....

Prime Rib Friday special!
Chris D.

We went on a Friday night for their prime rib special. Upon walking into the lounge area a sign was posted stating that food orders were taking 45 minutes. Kudos to them for being honest. We decided to wait it out. For as packed as they were our waitress was right on top of us. The food actually only took about 30 minutes to come out. Huge piece of steak, baked potato and spaghetti. The prime rib was cooked well, and although the 2" strip on the end of the steak was tender, the middle was quite chewy. The baked potato was fine, and the spaghetti was just a standard very bland side. Really wasn't expecting a lot more I suppose. For the price and quantity of food I'd give it 3 plus stars, but for the overall taste I'm going to have to stick with a 2.

Like I've said before, it's kind of hard to screw up breakfast and this was a pretty decent to good breakfast. The scrambled eggs weren't fluffy enough for my taste, they were really flat and thin, weird. The pancakes were thick with a little crunch on the edges, just the way I love them. Yum! Coffee didn't need any cream, on account of being just a tad week. I will go again, due to the extremely low prices snd friendly service. Breakfast for two, with coffee -$13

Great service but we didn't care for the food, however we took it to go and that tended to steam it but, we probably wouldn't go back.

DP ordered Lemon Berry Pancakes, a plate-filing short stack of goodness. I'd like to say it tasted as good as it looked, but I couldn't tell as DP chowed down like a hound from hell. In a good way, of course. She did allow me to share her Maple Braised Bacon (meaning that I was able to snatch a piece while she wasn't looking). Really, really fine, something I'd definitely order again. For me. Not to share. I had the Schnitzel Bennie with tart cherry jam and lemon hollandaise. Sound unusual? Tasted great! My only gripe was that the pork cutlet was a bit small and could have used a bit more seasoning in the breading. Would I order it again? You betcha! Service was fast and efficient. The decor was quirky and inviting but the space was loud enough that it was really hard to carry a conversation. Overall rating: yahoo!

We said first available seats, which ended up being at the end of the bar. More about that later... I ordered the vegan standard and hubs ordered the banana bread French toast. The server was friendly and the food came out in a timely manner, considering the place was packed. Regarding the vegan standard, it seems they have cut back on the amount of tofu scramble and increased the amount of hashbrowns, which was a little bit disappointing. As usual it was very tasty though! I tried a bite of the hubs French toast and it was VERY unique and tasty! II will be getting that next time. I was disappointed to hear that they haven't brought back the vegan biscuits and gravy, but maybe once again they will! So the food was great but our experience, not so much, based on where we were sitting. I feel like they should not even use the last spot at the bar to seat a patron. Right next to where I was sitting is the place they bring the clean silverware to dry it off, then they would toss it into the silverware holder. The noise was very annoying and they did nothing to try to even be quiet about it. The other thing about that location is the register is pretty much right in your face, like 15 inches directly in front of me and someone was pretty much there the whole time. Other areas of the bar wouldn't be quite so bad, but next time we will wait longer to get a table or sit at the bar top that looks outside instead of at all the workers doing their thing and talking to each other. Other than the location of where we sat this visit, this is still one of our top spots for a yummy vegan breakfast, and we will be back!

My husband is a much harsher critic than I am, and he gave it a "rare 5.5 out of 5." The pancakes were some of the fluffiest I've ever had. They also have a great selection of coffee flavors to choose from, which was a fun bonus. The coffee paired perfectly with breakfast, though I probably wouldn't come here just for the coffee alone. The flavor was good but it did have a slight burnt taste. A quick note: you order at the counter before sitting down. It's a mix of self-serve and sit-down service. You order at the counter, grab your own silverware, and seat yourself, but they bring your food and drinks out to you (other than water). I do wish they were a bit more attentive about clearing finished plates during the meal. The restaurant was so busy that the line was out the door when we arrived, but it moved surprisingly fast. I was worried we wouldn't find a table, yet there were plenty of open seats available. The atmosphere is also really nice and cozy, making it a great spot to start your day.

Water is self serve at the water stations and bathrooms are clean! Great little breakfast/brunch spot. I'd 100% return. What a memorable meal!
