Easy, delicious breakfast food near downtown Omaha. Went with family to Good Lookin and was impressed. The coffee was delicious! For food, I got sausage, scrambled eggs, sourdough toast and potatoes. The potatoes were phenomenal- with cinnamon sugar on top- there was a crispy, sweet/salty dynamic going on that I enjoyed. The eggs were great and the toast was delicious, too. The service was great- extremely nice staff that created a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

The new potatoes which weren't salty at all!!!

We wanted breakfast today so we hit up GL in Dundee. We really enjoy the pancakes here, but today they were thick and doughy (if that's even a word). Also our potatoes were extremely salty, but they exchanged them for better ones which were delicious. We always get the Double Standard no meat. Our eggs were great just not hot! The restaurant wasn't empty, but it wasn't packed either so our food came out quickly. Overall, we will be back because we believe this was just an off day for the cook(s). Hence the 3 stars today. It really is a wonderful place to eat in the Dundee area. You should go check it out for yourself!

I tried Good Lookin again and I have to say, their good lookin bowl BLEW MY SOCKS OFF!! I am still dreaming about this. The sweet potatoes were perfectly cooked and the glaze was delish. The pesto rice was out of this world. The bacon jam added such a nice savory element. This was truly amazing. Will 100000% be back for this dish specifically!

Came here to grab some breakfast considering the great ratings but I had to take a few stars down for one of the dishes that I'm usually excited for when in Nebraska Breakfast Burrito - 5/5 great portions with chorizo, cheese, eggs, and house aoili. Solid choice and would recommend Chicken Fried Steak - 2.5/5. Definitely not made to order and/or pre-made and deep fried to heat it up. Breading on it was burnt in a few areas and steak was overly fried giving it a bitter taste. Luckily the gravy overpowers it somewhat. All edible, but would hope that wasn't their best. Would not recommend this to anyone Overall, good place for some breakfast and would come back again and get something else instead of the chicken fried steak

Delicious breakfast sandwich! So convenient for me since it is super local, parking can be a bit of an issue on weekends if downtown Dundee is busy, but worth trying to get there when you can. Extremely quick service, perfect place to stop for a quick breakfast.

We've been a fan of their breakfast burritos since we first tried them! They're huge and can definitely be big enough to share.....or have a second breakfast later. We enjoy coming during the colder seasons to sit by the big windows with a hot drink and watch the people outside and relax. The ordering at the front is a little awkward. If there's no one in line it's nice when just walking in. When it's busy however, you have to walk into the seating area and then turn back around. This was the first time getting food to go and was a little annoyed about the extra charges because of that.

A quaint neighborhood eatery with a real community vibe. The menu items are creative and the servings very generous. The set up is a bit different. You order and pay first then "hope" to find a seat. This is why I didn't give it a full 5 star rating. We were lucky enough to beat the crowd and get the last open table. I'm not sure what they do if your food is ready but there is not a table available. By the crowd you can tell its a popular spot.

Great breakfast spot! The atmosphere is a cozy mix between a café and a casual sit-down restaurant. When you walk in, you order and pay at the counter first, then grab a seat anywhere you'd like. Your food is brought right to you, which makes the experience feel super easy and relaxed. The breakfast burrito is absolutely incredible. So flavorful, perfectly seasoned, and generously filled. Honestly, I could eat one of these every single morning and never get tired of it. Can't wait to come back and try more from the menu!

I will always give this place a 10/10!!! I recommend this place to anyone that is visiting or needing a new place for breakfast. Such filling plates and super flavorful dishes. Love the homey atmosphere and super friendly staff.

Fabulous coffee and food here! I've so far had the biscuits and gravy, scones, cinnamon rolls, and burritos (both bacon and chorizo). The only thing I didn't care for was the gravy on the biscuits, but everything else has been seriously delish. This also is a weird aside, but I wish the cinnamon rolls were a little smaller, ha. Onto the real star of this show...the breakfast burritos. I don't know how they do it, but every bite is the best one. I've had them fresh and to go eaten the next day, and they're just as good. The cappuccinos are fabulous with any of the food, a perfect morning meal! I haven't yet been for a meal besides breakfast, so I have yet to have the lunch menu. Another time! You order at the window in the front then find your seat. They have a large bar that's nice to sit at either for 1 or 2, and they can accommodate large parties.

I had a to go breakfast burrito from Good Lookin and clearly it was good because I could not get a photo before I was half finished! I ordered the egg and chorizo. The chorizo was delicious (but a little messy) and spicy. For sure need napkins and a fork to eat this! All the right textures you want with crispy chorizo and soft tortilla and egg. Would definitely come again but, might eat in if I had the time.

Great food! We were a little iffy about a ricotta pancake, but oh my gosh, so great! We will be back!

Eggs Benedict - sub bacon for salmon.
    Charley B.

What a fantastic neighborhood breakfast restaurant. My friend dines in once or twice a month, so one day I wrote and asked him what I was missing. He responded - "Everything." He was right. My Eggs Benedict - I subbed bacon for salmon - was served nice and hot. The poached eggs were perfect - well shaped with a runny yolk. The bacon was nice and crisp. The potatoes were a-ok, but I should have asked if I could have subbed them. Service was solid. I'm not sure how they're so calm during the chaos, but they are, and they're happy to help. The restaurant is really really busy during peak times, however please don't let that alarm you. Even with the wait to place your order, the room turns over well.

Coffee is amazing! Where is it from?

Hi Julia - we work directly with a coffee roaster out of Philadelphia called La Colombe to source their coffee. We're the only place in Nebraska that works directly with them to use their beans for our drop coffee, espresso, etc!

DP ordered Lemon Berry Pancakes, a plate-filing short stack of goodness. I'd like to say it tasted as good as it looked, but I couldn't tell as DP chowed down like a hound from hell. In a good way, of course. She did allow me to share her Maple Braised Bacon (meaning that I was able to snatch a piece while she wasn't looking). Really, really fine, something I'd definitely order again. For me. Not to share. I had the Schnitzel Bennie with tart cherry jam and lemon hollandaise. Sound unusual? Tasted great! My only gripe was that the pork cutlet was a bit small and could have used a bit more seasoning in the breading. Would I order it again? You betcha! Service was fast and efficient. The decor was quirky and inviting but the space was loud enough that it was really hard to carry a conversation. Overall rating: yahoo!

Ok the other hand, the service is rather iffy & unpredictable. The chicken & waffles is my go-to for each visit, and they have many types of delicious sides to choose from, with my favorites being the biscuits & berries, goat cheese grits, and also the fried green tomatoes. I have zero problems with the food that they serve here, they always do an excellent job at preparing whatever they need to prepare & the portions are always satisfactory. As for the service, there are days where you will receive perfect service while on others the service is not so great. Some days you will be attended to in a timely manner, while there is other days where there isn't anyone available or willing to seat you somewhere. I've also experienced instances where they didn't attend to our table to take orders until I made a complaint. Most of these instances were during days where the place was virtually empty so it's not because of the place being busy. I've also ordered take out from here before, again some instances are perfect and there's other instances where they don't tell you if a certain food is out of stock via text or call so if you ordered something that isn't in stock, you're forced to wait for them to prepare something else once you arrive to pick up your order. They also don't always include syrup or butter in the takeout bags for chicken & waffles. One minor thing I'm also disappointed about is how the portion of grits has lessened over time, going from being served in a bowl to instead being served in a small cup/mug. Overall, I certainly don't return for the service because you never really know if it's going to be a good day or a bad day for that. It's always the food that brings me back. I do want to like this place, and I do to an extent but again the service is always unpredictable. I'd still say the food is worth coming here to see how it goes.

They were fairly busy, and honestly our food took a bit to come out, but I am still giving a five due to the overall experience and quality of service. Our server Melannie was fantastic and always present. We did the bottomless mimosa deal (3 out of 4 of us) and she was always coming around asking us what flavor we wanted next when our current was still half full to make sure we got our moneys worth. The champagne might not be the fanciest, but for $20 bottomless mimosas I'll take it. They have fun flavors in addition to the basic ones like strawberry, mango, etc. which adds an element of fun. For food--there were several things I was eyeballing but landed on the spicy chorizo Benny. It was really good, eggs cooked perfect, and came with hashbrowns. Another at our table got the poutine which also looked yummy. I'd say the food portion could have included a bread/toast option, however If brunching in Omaha i'd return to try several things on the menu. The vibe inside is chill, would be more fun sitting outside once the weather warms up. Since I was the one that booked the reservation, the tab got a bit confusing. At first they were taking it off my total, then the server said that hold would come off so I paid for my meal/drinks there. I did end up getting double charged (for both the reservation hold and my meal) which was cleared up with a quick phone call to their establishment---apparently it is a new process they are trying. I do understand though why they wouldn't want to just deduct the hold as then people that don't know how to tip wouldn't tip on the total, which hurts the server. All was cleared up regarding this mishap though so no complaints.

May 25th, 2026 Food:…read moreWaited a whole hour for an easy order... which was a mini charcuterie board with a plate of avocado toast... when it was served... it looked pretty and at first I didnt mind about the long wait, but I was disappointed because it tasted like it was made an hour ago but was barely being served to me a whole hour later.. so yeah.. not worth it and now I do mind.. a soggy toast isn't on my list.. Ambiance: It was a nice regular refreshing bar/brunch spot. But safety was a HUGE issue which is where I'll get to my point of this low rating. Service: Is negative zero a thing? That goes to the owner... the 1 star is for the decent service my server attended towards me. In unfortunate events it's not the servers fault.. but overall with the owner coming out, couldnt be anymore careless.. The Cause: Either the owner or a staff employee whomever that is responsible for setting up the patio umbrellas, and I mean those large heavy metal patio umbrellas, well, they failed to lock the pole of the umbrella and unfortunately the umbrella lifted and blew away and had hit a family in the face that were dining there also; instant noticeable bruising to the face... I was only a table away from them.. it could have been me too. I am disappointed in the lack of care in general that surrounded the scene. Little 5 ft me... was the only one that came to help while everyone else sat around and minded their own business... it took a long while until one of the staff noticed to help and then the owner came out and awkwardly said a one word-sorry and dipped... didnt come back to offer any hospitality, non-genuine and non-apologetic... it made me lose my appetite. They had the audacity to still charge the family their meal... but I had to tell these really nice folks to make sure they get comped back. It was sickening to me on how careless they were treated. I would never come back! I mean an exaggerating long wait, cold soggy food and careless hospitality from the owner himself. That's three major strikes. P.s. That same wknd.. the news showed up about a South Carolina woman that was struck by a patio umbrella and died on site... that says alot about lacking safety. Yes, search it up. It's real news.. Hope this help improves the business alertness. P.p.s. And although I was disappointed at this dining-bar overall... I still tipped my server a good $20 as the situation was out of their control, my server was still attentive towards me. They all just need social common courtesy in empathy and hospitality. But anyways, my lunch ended with bittersweetness with the family that got struck, they comped my whole meal for genuinely being the only one that was concerned for them. The only service I'm grateful for was that.
