    Tan limes

I love Kros - one of my favorite breweries in Omaha! The taproom in Millwork Commons is always fun to visit. It's a low-key spot, and their trivia nights are a lot of fun. I always love trying the beers on tap and the variety they offer. In the summer, one of my favorites is the Tan Limes. Inside, there are tables and plenty of bar seating. I love sitting out on their patio in the summer, too. The tables have QR code signs to order food from Nomad Jack's. By scanning the QR code, they'll bring your food right to the table, and you can order and pay from your phone. Every time I visit, the bartenders are great, being super attentive and taking our order quickly. I love to see the different options on tap that rotate every so often so that I can try something new. Definitely check out Kros if you're looking for a great local brewery!

I really hate to give this place and our experience a 2-star review, but the lack of service, blatant disrespect, anti-social vibe, and overpriced bar snacks really made our sour beer afternoon adventure into an overall "sour" experience. We had gone in as part of a Yelp Elite event. The check-in offer did not mention having to buy one and then get your second beer free. The email from the community manager even reminded us to not forget cash to tip the bartender. Why would that have even been stated if the expectation was to have to open a bar tab anyways? Not a huge deal--we had already discussed and planned to stick around for at least a couple or a few beers. Our bartender--maybe Bryan? I can't confirm since he didn't offer his name and I didn't ask--was not a warm, friendly bartender, he didn't not attempt to have any conversation with us or other patrons sitting at the bar, and he did not create a very welcoming environment. Had I known this, I would have much rather sat by the entrance and weathered the cold air instead of his cold demeanor. I tried to ask him about the beer we had ordered, and instead of acknowledging/answering my question, asking me to hold on, or even circling back later, he completely ignored me. I'd have asked a second time because one could reasonably expect that to have been due to him not hearing me--had I not seen him flinch and look in my direction out of the corner of his eye. We also asked him if he had snacks available--I briefly forgot our community manager mentioned there being cheez-its for the Yelp event--but our bartender didn't even mention them. Instead he offered me some nuts in a canister and a bag, without any listing of price, quantity, etc., that totaled up to over $15 between the one canister and one bag! We were really hoping to have a good experience because my +1 guest who came with me loves Kros Strain, frequents their La Vista location frequently (1x per week, minimum), and lives just 1/2 a mile away. However, he even left the downtown location extremely disappointed and stated he would not being going back. It should go without saying, I won't be back to this location either--the only reason I gave today a 2-star rating was because at least the beer was good. The beer was not good enough, however, for us to even stay for our free beers. Overall, not a pleasant experience.

I love the "new" Kros strain tap room in Millwork Common. It's so nice to have this taproom closer than the brewery in La Vista. The ambiance of the taproom is very chic, even including their hop lights. The beer is, as always, wonderful. They have their classics (Fairy Nectar) on tap but they also have some great rotating taps to try. The rotating taps also span a lot of different varieties of beer, so there's something for everyone to try. With new food options opening in Millwork Commons, this taproom is becoming more attractive by the day

Kros Strain brewery opened this new location in the Ashton building in NoDo. The building is from the late 1800's and is beautifully renovated. I especially loved the lighting and murals. Fun fact - the original beams were reused as columns for the bar and as outdoor benches! Good beer selection with range of options including lagers, wheat beer, IPAs, Pilsner's. I admittedly don't know much about beer, but what I tried was good! It's Day 10 since they opened. Ive been to the west Omaha location before and am so happy they opened something closer to downtown!

If you're a fan of Kros Strain or craft beer in general, highly recommend a visit to their new downtown tap room! The space in the Mill Works building is beautiful and spacious, with a nice patio out front. Their beer is always fantastic (Fairy Nectar!), and they have wine, cider, and soda for the non-beer drinkers. Check their social media for occasional events and food trucks! Plenty of street parking around the building.

Nice range in the beers offered. We tried a barlet wine, an ipa, and barrel aged brews.

What a fantastic tasting room. We grabbed pizza from the place around the corner and sat outside enjoying our beer and pizza. Service was great with patient and knowledgeable people working the taps. Great relaxing place to enjoy some of kros strains best offerings.

Cool, fresh feeling taproom in a unique building. We loved the atmosphere and wandered around the building after we enjoyed our beer. Lots of beer to chose from. We enjoyed trying several in a flight.

Wednesday was the official first day for business at this new location, and Kros Strain has created quite the lovely new tap room. The new mural was done by the same artist (norm4eva) who did the one at the brewery down in La Vista. Of course, they continued with their hop cone light fixtures, but they also included chairs that look they were inspired by the mosaic mural patterns. I Ah, but I'm forgetting the important thing - the beer. Kros Strain does most any style well but excels at IPAs particularly. Any variant of their Fairy Nectar is worth trying. You can have a pint at the bar and grab a seat indoors or out on the patio, or you can select a crowler or from their various refrigerated packaged beers to go. If you step out of Kros Strain though into the adjacent hall, a large space with concrete stair seating and a massive TV greets you. Signs abound with architectural plans showing off the surrounding area intent, and the bays are decorated with promising names - like Archetype. I look forward to seeing how the surrounding area develops as other businesses fill out the Millwork Commons, but I'm 100% sure I'll be back for Kros Strain. (Relocated review. Located about 3 blocks north of the downtown ballpark, this new addition to the Millworks area is a bit difficult to find but worth it. Fresh brews on tap and some snacks available too. A front patio seating area is inviting and the inside is a great wide open space. The staff here is great and very helpful on beverage recommendations. All in all, a fantastic taproom for those hankering for a solid brew near downtown!

Had such a fun afternoon at Kros Strain. Having already been a fan of their beer I was excited to learn they opened a location downtown! First off, I thought the space was very cool. The bartenders were friendly and knowledgeable about the different beers on tap. The bartender recommended her favorite and it did not disappoint! Kros Strain also has trivia nights where you could win a gift card. I will definitely be checking that out sometime soon!

I had a great experience trying out Kros Strain Draftworks. The space is really fun and inviting with colorful artwork and lights and other cool design elements. Plenty of seating too. It was also neat to see the surrounding Millwork Commons area being built up. As far as the drinks go, they had a lot of options. Hoppy brews, light and smooth, sours and more. I appreciated the fact that the menu listed the beers out by type making it easy for someone like me, an infrequent beer drinker, to find the perfect drink. I went for the meyer lemon saison and it was great. My +1 got the fairy nectar and enjoyed it as well. The bartender was friendly and offered up a few samples after hearing us mention what we liked about each drink. We got another round and enjoyed those as well. Overall, this is a hip brewery with good brews and is a fun place to hang.

I just moved here from the East Coast and have been looking for a local brewery that has really good IPAs. This place hit the spot. I really enjoyed all of my taste samples. Highly recommend the tropical fairy nectar and the koala tears. Tropical fairy nectar is their 22 spin on the fairy nectar, and the koala tears is a banana vanilla sour. When I have family visiting from the east coast, this is one of the spots I'll bring them to.

Beer with some cranberry purée in it? Ummm, not normally but Inflatable Snowman was fabulous. My husband started with Dunkle Breaking My Heart. So fun to wind down our evenings this way. Great service even though the guy manning the taps was solo. The space is in an interesting building. You can tell it's thoughtfully decorated.

While the space is a bit smaller now (they lost the side unit), it still has those great open doors at the back and a patio that overlooks a peaceful little pond and fountain. The patio is easily my favorite spot to sit, sip, and unwind. Their brews are where they shine, and the Benevolent Sun (a hazy IPA) is my go-to. It's bright, citrusy, and basically sunshine in a glass--perfect for those laid-back patio visits. I'm also a big fan of the Chupacabra, their Mexican-style lager that's super drinkable and pairs perfectly with everything. They do have a small food menu--think wraps, sandwiches, and apps--and while it's not extensive, it's solid. The Grilled Chicken Caesar Wrap hits the spot, and I always order the Chips and Beer Cheese to go along with my beer (especially with a Chupacabra in hand). As one of the owners told us during a visit, "We're a brewery that has food, not a restaurant that serves beer." And honestly? They own that identity in the best way. The service is great too, with friendly knowledgeable servers and bartenders. If you're looking for a cozy, craft-focused spot to relax with a great beer in hand and a chill view out back, Monolithic's it.

And for a moment, it's flirting with greatness. Almost a perfectly executed Detroit pie... until the crust. That signature Detroit crisp--the caramelized, fried-edge crunch--is just a little undercooked. Not bad, but quickly soggy. Just missing that final snap that makes this style elite.
