This was our second time back to this upscale restaurant, and it was another excellent experience. I ordered the shrimp pasta in chili sauce, and it was outstanding. A family member had the mac and cheese with buffalo chicken, which was also great. The menu has a lot of interesting options, and there are several dishes we still want to go back and try. The drinks were good, the staff were friendly, and the atmosphere was excellent. It was busy when we were there, so I would definitely recommend making a reservation. I had to come here with a group of 10 for an afternoon work party. They just opened a couple weeks ago, so there are no happy hour deals going on, but we had a great time getting drinks and appetizers! The restaurant was almost empty when we got there around three, and just a few tables came in by the time we left at five. The reservation was set for us, and the table was ready to go. It was easy to make a reservation by calling them a week in advance, and they did warn me that there was no happy hour going on quite yet. Our group enjoyed, cocktails, cocktails, several appetizers, and a dessert. The crab, an artichoke dip was my personal favorite! The flavor of this dip was incredible, and it paired well with a thinly sliced bread. The truffle fries were great as well. We got the mushroom puffs, which were not my favorite, but others in the group love them. We finish with the campfire dip, which was OK, but I would try a different dessert next time since this wasn't anything special in my opinion. The service was great-- I placed it to go order for dinner as we left, and this was ready very early. Overall, the most impressive thing to me about this spot is the interior design! It's absolutely gorgeous inside, especially with the large circular bar seating. I definitely plan to come back, food is amazing! read more

We went to the soft opening week of the new Talus Spirits & Sustenance last week and let me just say this is an excellent addition to the NW Omaha food scene! Their main location is in Papillion, but their menu is mostly the same, with a few differences. First of all, the atmosphere of this space is so sleek. It boasts a large patio (that's being finished) and a gorgeous fireplace behind the bar. Ample space and seating throughout for a variety of party sizes. Now the food. Woah! Talk about chef creations here. We tried the crunchy Brussel sprouts that were crispy to perfection. For the main course, I went with their Talus burger. This burger is loaded with thick cut bacon and a huge piece of white cheddar. Top that off with a delicious jam really puts this burger above the rest. My wife ordered the fish tacos. These are not your typical fish tacos, as you see as soon as they arrive. Large, crispy homemade shells filled with fish, salsa, and their cheese sauce, complimented with rice, beans and a slaw. I highly recommend you give this new Talus location a chance soon! read more

Our waiter; Jeff H did a fabulous job of keeping our table satisfied the entire dining experience. Our adult family of 7 had drinks flowing & entrees from Guajillo Salmon, seafood Risotto, Argentina Steak, buffalo chicken Gouda Mac & a Talus Burger! I've visited twice - once for drinks only, the second for dinner. This is a great addition to this part of Omaha and its popularity shows - its a big space and it was pretty full on a recent Saturday night. Drinks are very well done. I also enjoyed the entrees - I went with an ahi tuna salad and had the crab and artichoke dip as a starter. Price point is also reasonable. I plan to be back. read more

We have been here twice and we really enjoyed our meals here. The buffalo chicken sandwich with mango salsa was delicious. The side salad had lots of " fixings" and I loved the pear vinaigrette. The Dijon Peak Sandwich was something my husband enjoyed but I thought the taste was off. We also had the charcuterie board which had a great selection. The turkey pot pie was tasty! Loved the sauce and the thick sliced potatoes. So why not 5 stars? We had a rude server. He acted as if we were bothering him. He was annoyed that we were deliberating on drinks and I feel if the drink is costing $14 I should get what I want. The only smile came when he gave us the check which had suggested tips on the receipt which were based on the full amount not the pretax amount. These little annoyances add up. read more

Ashley was our waitress and she did an amazing job with our PEO group. We all had our own check which makes it difficult for some people, but she shined. I've never been there before and the food was amazing. I did ask for my dressing on the side because I can never finish one of their salads. It arrived dressed and ready to go, but that's okay. I looked at the food around me, and that looked good as well. No one complained about the food. It all looked delicious. I had a glass of wine which the waitress Ashley recommended which she did a very good job. I checked out the restroom and it was very clean and beautiful all in all I give two thumbs up. read more

The new location in Omaha is very cute! I brought my son on a Sunday afternoon. The waitstaff were amazing! I had the Peruvian Corn Chowder which is amazing! My son had the Chicken Fried Chicken. I stole a bite from him, and we both agreed it was excellent! This location just recently opened, and it is a great find for West Omaha! read more

I took my mom here for Mother's Day because I heard how good the food was. Unfortunately, Jeff was my server and he didn't seem to care that it was a special day for my mother . Talus Omaha just opened about a month ago. We stopped in tonight to try the happy hour and we ended up staying for dinner. Cocktails and food were so good! I started with the Barrel Aged Gin Old Fashioned and it was light and so tasty. My hubs got the Smoked Steep Old Fashioned and he said it was very, very good. We then switched up to wine and dinner. I got the Barrel Mushroom Risotto. It was perfectly cooked and the pork belly added a level of richness and was so delicious. Hubs got the buffalo chicken sando with house fries. He said the sando was an 8/10. He's not a guac fan so a home made pickle would have made it a 10/10 for him. The fries tho....while a bit salty, he said the texture was spot on. He'd come back just for those. For dessert we had cocktails. Me: Black Cherry Appalachian Sour - perfect to offset the richness of my dinner. Him: espresso martini- it is just the right amount to espresso and sweetness. Overall, we had a very good experience and we will be back! read more

Went in for the first time on Saturday night. The new location is beautiful- every detail thought out and executed brilliantly. There are still some things in progress, like event room and patio, so I'm looking forward to seeing those come to life. The food, as always, extraordinary. The cocktails menu is unique to the Papillion location and reflects the bartenders personality. Service was friendly, excited about the opening, and very helpful.
