If you're looking for a hearty breakfast with quick service, and good food, but less than #GreasySpoon appearances? You found it. Whether in a booth, at a table, or right at the counter, you'll enjoy your time as much as we did. Great place!

Benson Omelet, hash browns extra crispy and French toast

Delightful diner with delicious food, fast yet caring service and wait staff who anticipate your every need. We were there at lunch but could make it past the breakfast menu; we ordered by neighborhood - the Benson omelette and Blackstone breakfast. I chose the French toast as my omelet side because the waitress informed me it was and she was not wrong. Benson omelette was pretty much perfect with even distribution of finely diced ham, green pepper and 2 kinds of cheese YUM! One day I'll try the lunch items for my lunch but for now- I might not make it past the first page of the menu

    Hangover Omelette

Good old fashioned diner. Booth and counter seating available. Hours have changed due to COVID. Hours on the door says 7 am to 2 pm Monday - Friday. I did not see weekend days or hours. Masks are required to enter. Staff are wearing masks as well. I sat at the counter. Staff is friendly. Menu is a good combination of breakfast, lunch plates and sandwiches. I went with the Hangover Omelette. Eggs, three types of cheese with sausage, bacon and ham along with veggies served with white gravy over top and a side of hash browns and toast. Extremely tasty. Price with a drink came in around $13.50. If I am in the area, will stop in again. Check it out.

Good food, not that expensive, sometimes it's a little crowded, but I guess is because of the good quality of the meals.

Great food at old school diner. Been going for 30 years! Sure it could use a remodel but you can't beat the food and the service!

Nice little cafe. Very busy in weekend mornings for breakfast. Affordable home style cooking. Worth the wait. You can always order take out.

Fairly new and was average. Under staffed which could have an impact. Slow and just not very friendly.

If you are visiting from out of town, it's a must stop for a great midwestern steak dinner - go with the Whiskey filet. We both ordered the Whiskey Top Sirloin with the Whiskey Marinade with baked potato and salad bar. Includes Bread. The Bread came first and was warm. The bread is really good. The salad bar is decent. Ice berg and greens. I skipped the ice berg and went with the greens. Lots of basic toppings, but everything was fresh. The steak arrived. We both ordered medium to medium well with a light pink center. Mine came out less than rare and was raw in the center. My wife's was half correct and half rare. She kept it and ate the good part. I sent it back. Before sending it back it was very hard to cut the steak. When it came back it was charred and now it was like chewing shoe leather. The worse steak I have gotten at a restaurant. The first 3 tables had steaks sent back that we saw and another two tables sent steaks back. This is a problem with the cook. This is a steakhouse and having a cook who doesn't know how to prepare a steak is a serious problem. The waitress never came back and the service was terrible. Just opened up for the evening and not warm and friendly. I had a show to go to and was not sending it back again and based on the experience so far I wouldn't want to send it back. I won't return due to the service. The wait staff saw and knew how many steaks were being returned. That would be a huge red flag to involve management. They didn't do anything to make it right and we had a show to catch. The return to The Drover was a huge disappointment and need a different staff and master cooking steaks as a steak house.

It offers a mix of fast-casual ordering with table service for a lively sports bar atmosphere. Highlights * Food: Known for juicy, thick burgers, with several reviewers highlighting the bison burger, Spicy Sriracha Bleu, and solid garlic aioli. * Sides: Onion rings and fries are generally well-regarded, with Parmesan truffle fries offered. * Vibe: A fun, retro-diner style with neon lights and numerous TVs, making it a great spot for watching games. * Service: Frequently described as friendly and welcoming. Considerations * Ordering: You order at the counter, then seat yourself, which is convenient but can feel rushed to some. * Wait Times: It can get very busy, leading to lines for ordering. * Parking/Location: Located on Dodge Street, with a somewhat awkward entrance queue. Overall: Smitty's is excellent for a casual, high-quality burger meal, offering a great balance between a kid-friendly restaurant and a sports bar. The prices are reasonable and it is considered one of the solid burger options in Omaha.

I noticed a lot of newer eateries and businesses in Aksarben since the last time I was there, so hopefully some of them stick around a while. Anyhoo, on to Crispy Burger! First off, the interior is bright and colorful, with a lot of orange, red, and then an accent wall of black and white geometric shapes. It's a super welcoming vibe! One thing that's kind of weird is that the building (and Yelp and Google) says Crispy Chicken, but all the wrappers and signs say "Crispy Burger" which was confusing. The smells inside when you walk in make your mouth water, so get ready to over order if it's your first time here (we definitely did!) They have a LOT of fried things, like fried chicken, mozzarella sticks, popcorn chicken, etc. So this definitely is not an every day place if you are looking for health food. We ordered the cheese sticks to start and they were enormous. Definitely shareable between a few people, as each cheese stick is like an appetizer in itself! I ordered the nuggets and fries, and they were really well breaded and pretty large. You can choose from about 1500 sauces for dipping (ok, maybe more like ten, but that's still a lot!) The fries were great too, that come as a side in your box. My husband had the bone in chicken wings combo, and he was very pleased with his choice. Gigantic wings, with fries, a biscuit, and mashed potatoes and gravy on the side. Now is Crispy Burger fine dining or somewhere you'd go on a date night? Definitely not. But it's nice, tasty food, for a pretty inexpensive price. So I would definitely recommend trying it out next time you're in the Aksarben area!

We ordered a chicken nugget meal with teriyaki skewers and a biscuit with a side of fries. This meal had a ton of food and left us feeling as full as a tick. I'd have to say the fan favorite of the night was the skewers. The flavor was so tasty and light. I believe it was chicken thighs, there were some fatty pieces but I honestly didn't mind. The nuggets reminded me of a similar fast food location with the Golden Arches logo. I honestly didn't mind because these had more flavor and seasonings within; same consistency of chicken within though. I can see myself coming back here to try some of their boba and rolled ice cream!
