We came for brunch and they were out of most baked goods, i guess that means they're very popular but the brunch dishes sadly did not make up for it that day. We tried the croque madame and the gooey mushy French toast brick. I guess people love it? I did not. They had cinnamon rolls which were VERY good so an extra star for that and the coffee was alright. Cheers.

Came here for brunch with friends and the service was great. The food was great. I believe I ordered the chicken sandwich and it was on point, crispy, and in great portion. The coffee was great as well, enough to wake me up to head back home. The backyard was spacious and cozy for brunch on a Sunday. I'd love to come back again here for more quality time enjoyment : ) P.S. I didn't get to try out the bakery and they look alright from the visual

I had a lovely Saturday brunch here with friends! We began our morning at the farmers market and then walked over for our reservation here. The restaurant is quite large, and I loved the outdoor seating area, but we ended up sitting inside. I ordered a cappuccino and the Tuscan Kale Pesto which were both delicious. I actually couldn't finish my entree because I was sneaking bites of my friend's French toast and my other friend's Short Rib Hash. To be honest, I wouldn't order the French toast as an individual entree because it's so huge and doesn't come with anything. It's literally just a giant piece of bread. It's good, but it would be better shared among the table. I loooved the seasoning of the potatoes in the Short Rib Hash. I ate more than I should have.

When looking for a Sunday Brunch in Hudson NY, this place looked like one of the best choices. However, there were not that many options. We had a 12pm reservation, and arrived to a line out the door. If a dreary day brought diners out, this place must be good. To be fair, many were in line for the bakery located inside the restaurant. We were seated in the dining room; which was a big, loud old room that had a fire place, high ceilings, and wooden floors that shifted and squeaked anytime someone walked by. Not too annoying, by any means. The young waiter was great. Attentive, fast and friendly. We started with a dbl espresso, a chocolate croissant and a Kouign-amann. Unfortunately, none of the baked goods we chose were available. They were out of a lot of selections. Hence, the line. We were able to get a Cinnamon Roll. Which was good. For mains; Le Perche Croque Madame and French Toast. More like a brick of bread, stuffed with custard and topped with way too little syrup. It was so different and just plain dumb. I ate about half of it and then lost interest. The Croque Madame was nothing special. My wife makes way better sandwiches at home. We didn't look at a dessert menu and didn't stop by the bakery on our way out. We had enough let downs for the day.

    Fish and chips

When hunger fails to enhance the flavor of your food that's when you know you'd be better off elsewhere. The star of the show in the fish and chips was most definitely the chips. Bravo to the fry-er and the ketchup manufacturer. The fish and batter failed to win the chefs attention and thus was not seasoned. The introduction of a bit of salt and pepper could have changed the outcome. Lovely staff and service. Staff was attentive and speedy. The only offender was the chef. I'm not saying Jail is appropriate for the offense but if your main function is to apply seasoning to food and you've failed to do so, you may as well confine yourself to the solace of your own home and not take space from others in the kitchen. I highly recommend le perche for a couple's first date as the ambiance is romantic, the decor is impeccable and the nerve of your first meeting will surely prevent you from taking many bites.

Le Perche is a cute restaurant on a popular street in Hudson! My friend and I stopped in for lunch after a hike and it was a perfect spot. They have a good variety on their menu and we both opted for the spicy chicken sandwich. It was delicious! Definitely spicy but very flavorful and done well. The chicken was great! The staff was also really attentive given how busy it was but everything went smoothly. We also checked out their variety of bread and baked goods which seemed super popular and I would love to be back to try those as well.

This place is a 9/10 perfection. Honestly inspiring the balance of upstate country charm, French influences, and that spectacular garden. The service is polite and fresh without feeling stuffy. It's all so bright and inviting that you can be lulled into a sense of perfection until, that is, you hear it: The Music. Music should be the last thing on anyone's mind at a restaurant, until it's terrible. The post-modern country bleating soundtrack is so far out of place I thought I'd left heaven and was about to race head first down a dirt road in the Permian basin, mad as hell that Tiffany just slept with my cousin. The music, I'm sure, has its place, but it's not here. Turn it down, turn it off, or change it to anything gentle, unassuming, and charming like the rest of the garden. For god's sake, don't destroy this otherwise perfect ambiance.

Le Perche is a little French restaurant tucked away in Hudson. They have a few tables outdoor (which is great during the summertime) and several tables indoor including counter top. There were also tables in the back patio that were enclosed when I visited with heat lamps and honestly, the set up made it so cute. Our server was David and he was an absolute gem, constantly checking up on us and making sure everything was great. Our group ordered quite a bit of things but some notable standouts were the tivoli mushroom toast and the mussels which had this sweet and spicy sauce with a slice of bread soaked underneath all that goodness. I would have preferred the slice of bread on the side to dip but delicious regardless. Get the focaccia and their croissants as well. Croissants were flaky and super buttery. Fries are also fried so perfectly with aioli so highly recommend that as well. I'll be back again next time for sure!

If you want a French toast larger than your face to stuff your face with and then turn into a French toast to be served with syrup, you've come to the right place. After reading so many raving reviews about Le Perche, this was the perfect spot to walk into for brunch as the last service of a cold lil Saturday afternoon. We were fortunate enough to find a walk-in option and really enjoy an awesome Saturday brunch with our friends. After driving for a little over an hour, we were definitely starving and excited to stuff our faces with anything we could see, especially those flaky croissants ***that I didn't end up ordering*** because I asked for a random inexistent ricotta toast from like 5 years ago and they recommended the French toast instead. Like what is wrong with me?????? So I ordered that toast. Zero regrets. I'm not even a french toast girl, waffles let's GO. It was thicccccccccccccccc looked a bit on the darker side and I was not ready for what was coming: a crispy on the outside, soft, triple moist, flan-like, lemony center that was to die for. Best choice of my afternoon in Hudson! It's of course topped with syrup AND doesn't need to be remoisturized because of how incredibly made that french toast is. We ordered drinks, breakfast sandwiches and I had my eye on that cheesy onion soup that's perfect for a cold, winter day. The owner was SO nice that at the end of the shift, since they'd be closed for a few days, they gifted us some of the leftover baked goods. We were head over heels. Loved the food, loved the service and can't wait to be back! What started from oh, I can't wait to have a chocolate croissant and coffee ended up with French toasts and french margaritas. What in the world? Only at Le Perche. Loved my decisio

The place is known for its collection of antique cars both inside and out. It has a fun feeling and service if first rate. There were still plenty of solid options from eggs benny to salad, sandwiches, soups and entrees. At this time of year the garden area is open and quite lovely. We started with French onion soup, the soup de jour- mushroom, and mussels in a saffron cream sauce which came with fries. All three were beautifully prepared and excellent. Then we moved on to the house burger which our son said ranked in the pantheon of truly excellent burgers. He went for the cheese, bacon and lettuce, tomato....we all took bites. Yum. The fries that accompanied it were cooked to perfection. A little crisper and better than the first batch that cane with the moules. Pan-Bagnat- imagine salad nicoise sandwich but ooooo so much better. It was on focaccia with a generous portion of tuna - house mayonnaise - black olives and fresh tomatoes. Oh my. Last dish was the grilled king salmon in a citrus glaze served with mash potatoes and byaldi - Thomas Kellers gorgeous stacked ratatouille. This whole composition was a work of art and perfectly cooked. An extra side of ratatouille completed the meal. No room for dessert. But next time we will leave room for profiteroles. The "petit" portions and prices here are out of control and should be an embarrassment. As an example: The family next to us was a great example of starving children--first world edition. I was thinking about augmenting my salmon dish with another dish, just in case I got hungry, but when the crêpe arrived to the table next to us, the young boy looked disappointed. It was tiny and apparently they are not made fresh because when I asked they said they only had one more. How does one run out of crepes? Maybe no more bananas or Nutella? After he finished eating it, he was scraping every sign of Nutella drizzle from his plate, and then I heard him say what I think all of us were feeling. "Mom, I'm still hungry" with which his mom asked the server for something else, and meanwhile, my husband and I looked at each other and smirked in accord. Our dishes (shown) were about $18 each and we did leave dissatisfied and still hungry. The quality of the food was very good, but two shrimp tacos with barely anything inside them was literally shameful and shocking, and my husband who had low blood sugar was hoping this would help but it did nothing. The place is undoubtedly charming, the servers wonderful and accommodating, but the food on a Sunday brunch needs to be reviewed, and attention must be paid to the fact that brunches are usually the first meal of the day for many, and with that people expect something substantial to kick off the day until dinner. Add another taco. And don't let us ask for more bread or another meal for another $18. It doesn't fly. If you want a hearty brunch I suggest another restaurant.

And Triskele's French cooking, is one of the reasons why. The stars are all aligning for Triskele's French Chef and owner Gilbert, offering a comfortable, homey setting with incredible tasting food for this area. There are 3 dining rooms- 2 of those facing Main St. the other closer to the parking lot entrance with a softly-lit bar area. You can book through Resy which I noticed after I reserved by phone- but either way, you'll receive text reservation details and reminder. You'd be hard pushed to find a bad review here. Food is as good as you can expect from Triskele- think good tasting unfussy and hearty plates with a good dose of French music in the background. Our Sidecar and Cosmo cocktails were great and packed a TKO. The Beurre Blanc sauce in my Salmon dish was a bit loose- but extremely tasty. Hubs enjoyed his medium-rare rack of lamb and raved about the seasoned crust- even after we finished. We ordered the bread and butter off the menu (only way to get bread) and the butter was individually wrapped in packets labeled Sysco. It was too salty and not good at all. We adore the butter in France and expected better from a boutique French restaurant. We also experienced the owner as being quite argumentative and we experienced his manner as condescending when we made what we thought were two fairly normal requests. Two requests that this restaurant had honored in the past under previous ownership (but we were unaware of the change of ownership). Our experience was that the new owner belittled our requests. One, to cook the oysters (my mother can't medically eat raw oysters but adores them if they can be cooked. And this was a special birthday dinner for her.) And a request for organic wine which we had had at this restaurant before. (Non-organic wine gives her a headache.) We also found the owner quite argumentative and experienced his manner as condescending when we made what we thought were two fairly normal requests. **In response to the restaurant's comments below, the issue was not that he said no; it was the way in which we were spoken to. (My mother actually left the restaurant for a bit to collect herself but chose to come back in for the meal. I wish we had just left.) The waitress was lovely and attentive. She was professional in all of her interactions with us and we were very grateful for her kindness. The eggs mayonnaise was just ok (could have made better ourselves). The ratatouille was quite disappointing, no depth or real flavor- definitely would have been tastier if we had made it ourselves. The branzino was the only highlight of the meal yet they had left a cluster of the green bean stems on the plate... ? On purpose? The night before we had an excellent dinner at Alta in Lenox Center. Don't hesitate to go there! Cafe Triskele used to be consistent and excellent. Unfortunately, our experience this time was very different. ** My comments below were added after the restaurant's response: I have made a few minor edits above to clarify my original review. I would also like to note that the person who posted the restaurant's response below was not present during the interactions described above. And at no point during the evening was an apology offered or did anyone come to our table to acknowledge what had happened or ask if there was anything they could do to address the situation.
