Cozy little restaurant perfect for lunch and dinner. They do have a back room for larger parties. Inviting bar area to welcome you. Great cocktails and wine list. We recently went there for Tuesday burger night. They ran out of beer but substituted wine with the burger special. Burger was delicious and cooked well to order. They were woefully understaffed when we went but the server/hostess/bartender did her best and was very nice. Service was iffy because of the short staffing but the customers got to know each other as we waited. All in all, good food and nice restaurant. I will likely go back. read more

We visit about once a year and this was our second time at Brigette Bistro - the first since it changed hands. As an appetizer, we had the pate. I think next time I'd ask to replace the brioche with baguette. But,that's a personal preference. We both ordered from the specials menu. COD for my spouse and lamb chops for me. Both were excellent. We used to love this restaurant when it was under a different owner. We still wanted to give it the benefit of the do and went back when the new ownership started. The service was handled, or not handled, by one person and he was in over his head. And to make matters worse, the food was not the same quality. Recently we read reviews here that made us reconsider and we gave it another chance. This time it was one waitress and the service was just as bad. As for the food, mediocre at best. Brigitte used to be a favorite restaurant of mine. But the menu hasn't changed in about two years and so lacks the creativity I had hoped for. Aside from that, our visit to celebrate a friend's birthday was marred by horrific wait times. We were the only table there for the first hour but it took forever to get cocktails and starters. From there, about three other tables filled up. We arrived at 6 pm did not get entrees until 7:40. Very disappointing. what a great little place , I almost don't want to give this 5 stars because I love the small bistro ambiance and if it gets too popular I fear we lose that . The service was terrific and attentive , and having the chef so visible adds to the homey feel of this place . Stopped in to this cozy French spot for dinner tonight and was blown away by the taste and authenticity! The space is small, intimate, and the music was a vibe! Perfect ambience for a nice date night or cute outing with friends. We ordered a fair amount of the menu so I feel confident enough to say everything was a hit. We started with the octopus, escargot, and salmon tartare. All delicious. For entrees we had the Duck breast, which was super succulent. My friends ordered the chicken breast and the rib eye, AMAZING. We washed down our meals with delicious French wine, my favorite being the Rosé Chateau Barbebelle, so good, highly recommend. The cherry on top of an all around amazing meal was the creme brûlée and chocolate mousse, *chefs kiss. We'll definitely be back. Please stop in and give this local gem a chance. Parking: primarily street parking, although I think there are one or two spots in the back Ambience: cozy and tiny, and at times almost claustrophobic depending on where you're sat. Tables are very close together because of the limited space. Drinks: cocktails are awesome. Thoughtful and well crafted, tasteful yet boozy, with great balance and attention to craft. Service: oddly hit or miss. I had a server who was completely oblivious although maybe he was new. I wasn't so turned off by his ignorance of the cuisine as I was by his clear disinterest in learning about it. But then I've had other lovely servers who are very knowledgeable and helpful. Food: mostly spectacular. Every appetizer and entrée and dessert has thoroughly impressed me in texture, presentation, flavor, and skill. I just can't figure out why they can't seem to make a proper crostini/toasts. It's like they take white bread out of a bag, cut it in half, and hold a blow torch over it for a couple of seconds just to burn a few of the corners. The best French food in the area! The ambience, the service, everything is great! We had a wonderful time!

We visited Brigitte Bistro for the first time about a year ago, shortly after our engagement. The owner was kind enough to offer us two glasses of champagne when he got wind of what we were celebrating, and joined us for a round (I grew up in France and am always happy to come across fellow French people, especially upstate!) and some lively conversation. On to the food itself - top marks, great attention to detail, normal-sized portions and a focus on taste and quality ingredients. Nice wine selection too! We returned to Brigitte Bistro this past weekend (July 15) and had an equally delightful experience. We sat outside and enjoyed a wonderful evening and delicious food.
