Came here for a special occasion dinner and really enjoyed. Ambiance is lovely! Fairly crowded on the weekends but food came out fast and service was great. The seasonal rotating menu had a lot of things that interested us and lots of options for vegetarian/pescatarian. The absolute star of the show was the pasta dish but a lot of our other small plates were unique and flavorful! Prices are on the higher side but with the innovative dishes and quality ingredients I think pretty fair. I think we'll be back when we're in the mood for a more elevated dinner option in Kingston!

My partner and I walked in around 8PM on a Friday and were seated in about 30 minutes- not bad and 100% worth it. We don't usually order bread/butter when we go out but after looking at the bread on the table next to us, we decided to go for it. Omg the butter was super creamy and smooth, we were both so glad we got it. We also LOVED the mussels which were huge and super fresh. We also tried the fried oyster mushrooms, sweet potato, and steak- all fantastic as well. Highly recommend and look forward to coming back, especially since the menu constantly rotates.

I've been following Chleo's IG for a while but haven't had the time to stop in. That is, until today. There was a dessert posted on the feed this week and that was quite enough dilly dallying on my part- I had to make my first trip in. I was a solo diner this evening (literally for the first time ever probably- worth it) and the hostess was so awesome. She got me a spot really quickly despite the whole place being packed and Saturday night reservations. The restaurant is tastefully decorated and smells clean. No, like I mean really clean- not room scents or heavy food oils lingering in the air. It was lovely. I love the open kitchen space to be able to see these chefs at home in this great kitchen. It kind of makes them part of the dining experience and personally I really appreciated that! So, let us get to the main attraction: the dessert. I had my eye on the grilled apricots, lavender cream, flax almond streusel. I am giving this dish a 9/10. The balance I would have liked to have tasted was not there with the apricot, and I am an apricot lover. With that being said... if this was only the lavender cream and streusel with those tiny thyme garnishes... chat, this desert would be a 15/10. The lavender cream was beyond perfect... not too sweet and not overpowering on the lav flav. And in combo with that toasty streusel. Good lordt y'all, watch out! I wonder if somehow blackberries would suit this dish more than the brûléed apricot if there *needed* to be a fruit component. Either way, I would still eat it again and enjoy it! I would love to return and try more from the menu.

My partner works in fine dining and spotted Chleo while we were exploring the lovely town of Kingston. We stopped in for dinner before rushing to another nearby town. We were lucky enough to be sat right away at the chefs counter and had a truly wonderful experience. From the hostess to the chefs working the line, the staff was impeccably lovely and attentive. As a vegetarian, the menu was full of creative and thoughtful options that satisfied my hunger, each an explosion of flavor and intention. We asked if we could be out in forty-five minutes and the staff was so accommodating. All the dishes were hits, but the cauliflower was insane and I wish I could have it on repeat. I hope we can be back in New York to revisit Chleo and experience their flavor and hospitality again very soon!

Great addition to Kingston! All of the food and drinks we had were delicious. They currently do not take reservations so we went early and were able to get a table right away but by the time we were leaving it was packed. Loved the open kitchen concept and staff was great. Lots of wine options and food was delicious! Our favorites were the potato rosti and wild mushrooms

Amazing dinner in uptown Kingston. Friendly and professional service with our waitstaff Melissa. Chicken with chimichuri and Chocolate beet cake for dessert. Treat yourself. You won't be disappointed.

The menu on the night we visited.

Thoughtful menu, well prepared. for starters I had the fennel rillettes which knocked me out, I will try to make that at home. I had a Crabcake on rice swimming in a crab veloute that was delicious. My wife had a burrata plate, that was fine if you like burrata and the grilled panzanella salad, really very good- a special dish. Service was not rushed and friendly the servers took time with each table to make sure things were good. We got there early on a Tuesday night and the place filled up quickly.

The food is stellar but it's the most overpriced restaurant I've ever been to. $8 for bread and butter. In most restaurants, that's free! That left such a bad taste in my mouth. I would love to come back and see what's on the changing menu but who could afford it? I don't see locals like me making this a regular spot. It's catering to NYC tourists. It's a shame.

Sophisticated, delicious food and drinks. Good wine and very welcoming staff and bartender. Lovely chill vibe. Go by an hour or more before you want a table on the weekend and put your name in.

The bartender here is in her zone, she definitely knows what shes doing&runs her space like a boss!!!! We sat at the bar for a few drinks before being seated. The young lady (hostess) who we encountered for seating was the only who rubbed me the wrong way..no smiles, all business.."do u have a reservation " NO, & she just wasnt on her game I guess(Olivia?) But in comes Dan, our server, what a gem! Our food was great, my friend really enjoys his short ribs cavatelli, my husband ordered the half jerk chicken & didnt even leave a crumb! I had the maple glazed Salmon, and it delivered mouth watering goodness with just enough sweetness from the maple but not overpowering. Way to go guys, now I know to make this a staple in my after work rounds.

They have a lot of seating and a good menu price range. My favorite thing about the menu is that they have duck fat fries! If you never had your French fries fried in duck fat then you are missing out!!! Now I wish I could give them 3.5 stars. I highly raved about this place but the last time I came it was such a disappointment. Our waitress though very friendly was not very attentive. We couldn't find her when we needed things and when we asked for things she didn't bring them. Now I'm sure she was busy and we never complained but that mixed with the fact that our food was just alright made me drop it a few stars. Also the cleanliness of the restaurant wasn't the best, including the glassware. Now to be fair every other time I have come the food was fantastic. I typically always get the general tso fried chicken sandwich and I love it. So maybe it was an off day we all have those. I will go back again and see if they redeem themselves! Also I just want to make mention the sandwiches do not come with duck fat fries you have to specifically ask for them to be the duck fat ones.
