The atmosphere is warm, relaxed, and welcoming, making it a great place to unwind. I had the chicken schnitzel, and it was absolutely delicious--crispy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The ordering process is easy: you order at the counter, receive a number, then choose to sit inside or enjoy the outdoor seating while they bring your food to you. The indoor dining area is a bit small, but the outdoor seating is charming and comfortable. The food and drinks were excellent, although the prices are a little on the higher side. That said, the quality and overall experience made it worthwhile. We're happy we finally stopped in, and it definitely won't be our last visit. It's that the pricing has reached a point where a counter-service lunch for two can easily exceed $80 once drinks and the mandatory 18% service charge are added. I was also disappointed to see the owner edit her response to suggest that leaving a two-star review is somehow harmful to a family-owned business. I've stopped by Quinnie's several times over the past couple of years, and the chicken salad has always been one of my favorites. Unfortunately, my most recent visit was a completely different experience. I paid $20 for a chicken salad sandwich and headed out on the road. After driving several miles, I unwrapped it and immediately noticed a small, thin chicken bone sticking out of the edge of the sandwich (pictured). While I was surprised that it hadn't been caught during preparation, I figured mistakes happen and continued eating. A few bites later, I bit down on something large and extremely hard. When I looked, I found what appeared to be an entire chicken wing drumette bone inside the sandwich. At that point, I couldn't continue eating it. I reached out to Quinnie's through social media to let them know what happened, but it's been over a week and I haven't received any response. That's almost as disappointing as the sandwich itself. Finding one small bone could be an honest mistake. Finding multiple bones--including one large enough to be a serious choking hazard--is unacceptable. For a $20 sandwich, I expect much better quality control and customer service. read more

Food-wise, we got the Spicy Greens + Eggs and the Boo Boo Breakfast Biscuit. Sorry, I didn't take a photo of the Spicy Greens + Eggs and only remembered to snap a pic of the Boo Boo after I had already deconstructed it a bit. The food was good, but the biscuit stood out the most since it tasted fresh and homemade. Even though the place had a nice, chill vibe, I couldn't give it a higher rating because the service could've used some work. You walk up to the counter and see the menu written on the walls, but the breakfast items didn't have any descriptions. When we asked what was in one item, the worker looked at us and said everything was written in the handheld menu cards in front of us. So we picked up the menus--only to notice that nothing matched. When I asked about another item, he looked annoyed and said it should be written there. I pointed out that these looked like the lunch menu, and that's when his attitude changed. Not too heavy - good balance of sauce matched with lots of fresh dill and good-sized chunks of veggies. The freshness of their chewy bread also added great texture to the meal! What a hidden gem! We stopped at Quinnie's on our way to Hudson and I'm so happy we did. The location is beautiful renovated farm property with plenty of parking space. The restaurant itself is so quaint and adorably decorated. There is a full coffee bar, pasties, and an incredible sandwich menu with sides. We ordered the chicken salad and tuna + peppers sandwiches with the spicy potatoes on the side. The food was 10/10! The tuna sandwich was fresh and the bread was perfect, my friend really liked the chicken salad as well. The spicy potatoes were delicious, a must try if you're a gochujang fan! I ordered an iced oatmilk latte, it was good nothing special. The service was good as well. The only thing is the pricing, definitely on the high end for a sandwich and portion sizes. Lucky we chanced on this place driving back to NYC from the Berkshires! This is an absolutely adorable converted farmhouse, which is now a restaurant/grocery/coffee shop/hang out. They have such delicious food, particularly their sandwiches (all were tasty). There biscuits are also top-tier. They have some seating inside, as well as picnic tables outside. There's a small specialty grocery inside that serves thoughtfully curated goods. They have an assortment of tinned fish, and some great local beers (like Suarez Family Brewery). Last time we bought some tinned fish and consumed it on campus (pretty sure that's ok, although we didn't ask) - along with some wine which they sell there. It was a perfect pit stop! Prices are a bit higher than expected (on par with Hudson) but not unreasonable. Sandwiches are mostly about $15, a few bucks less for breakfast sandos, a few more for the more complex/fancy meat ones. Basic cocktails are $12-13. If you like bold flavors and good times in a chill, casual environment, Quinnie's is your spot! I especially appreciated the all-are-welcome ethos and outright queer-friendliness. Also who doesn't love a Mortadella sandwich! Being recently gluten free means that I ask for everything over greens and they're more than happy to oblige. Coffees are always top notch and I've had a cheeky cocktail more than once! They're always running fun events - burger and martini night; karaoke; oyster fest and more. Sometimes I just come in for a cup of broth because it's exactly what I want to warm up on a bitterly cold winters day. I've eaten here many times, for all types of occasions and never had less than spectacular experience. The menu is extremely well curated and everything is made fresh to order. They use many local vendors and farms and the seasonal dishes are amazing. I've been there for burger and martini night (with karaoke!) and even the martinis are perfectly made. Quinn and the rest of the team is super nice and helpful and on more than one occasion Charlie has gone out of his way to make sure we had a memorable experience. The chicken and grilled cheeses all came out burnt and black. The mortadella had a light, dry fry the kind you get from not using butter. Mortadella was sopping in mayo.
