I recently found Le Coffee Shop a few months ago and have been a handful of times. We absolutely loved the service, food, and cozy patio outside. However, I was disappointed with the new menu change. Previously, the omelet and sandwich came with a choice of potatoes. Now, you have to add a side of potatoes for the omelette and get a $2 charge for the breakfast sandwich. They are consistent. The food is great, and the service is great. Most staff is friendly except for one or two people that work the cash register. The concern of mine is they allow dogs inside including near the register where there are uncovered pastries. Dog hair floats and can land anywhere. Seems very unhygienic and possibly a violation of food code perhaps. Not to mention people who may be allergic to dogs. I love dogs so nothing against them but when there is open food that should be taken into consideration. I've been here twice and I'll definitely be coming back, my waffle the second time I will say was a little overdone but when you have strawberries and Nutella over it, it's easier to overlook. At time of payment choice is given receipt can be emailed or printed-- printed is chosen. Again cashier states email only. If that's the case don't offer a "print" choice. When food arrives one plate is not what was ordered and waitress departs. Inexplicably same cashier returns with same plate and is told correct order. At this point arguing is becoming tiresome so plate is accepted with no apology proffered for wrong order--cashier was very combative. She is told customer satisfaction is paramount but that did not register. BTW jam and other items are levied a charge which at other establishments are included for free. Almost everyone that my husband and I have had the pleasure to meet in Old Town Temecula has had good things to say about Le Coffee, so we gave it a try today - on a Sunday around busy brunch time. Hubby enjoyed his classic omelette with au gratin potatoes, and I enjoyed my plain croissant with a side order of bacon. We both had coffees and enjoyed those as well. Our service was also friendly and courteous, and even though it was busy and space was tight, my power wheelchair was graciously accommodated for. However, from what I could see, wheelchair access at this restaurant is a little bit iffy. Depending on the wheelchair, scooter or mobility device you have, you may or may not be able to navigate. From what I could see, patio seating is the only accessible seating available, and it's tight. If this makes you feel apprehensive or uncomfortable, they do offer food to go, and they also have online ordering available as well. If visual navigation would be a help to you, Le Coffee is located on 4th street right across from the Temecula Blues Club. Look for the black front with white writing and red umbrellas and you'll be there. If you need a flat surface to navigate there, the best sidewalk for you to use is the sidewalk on the same side of the street as the Coin Op. just walk or roll down to the corner on that same block and you'll be there. It will be on your left-hand side. PS: Service here is also relatively quick and accurate, even during busy times.
