Came on a Sunday for brunch and the line was out the door - but moved quickly. Order was taken by a friendly helper. We ordered an apple pastry to share and which was warmed up for us - delicious. Note: we got there at 11:15 and the pastries were almost finished. The leeks quiche, which was flaky and flavorful, came with a choice of side - we opted for the gratin potatoes which were perfectly stacked and creamy. The berry crepe was perfectly cooked although the berry jam filling had some crunchy bits. The cappuccino is on the smallish size but packed a nice punch. Service was friendly, but reserved. Lorraine quiche, croque madam, and two cups of coffee (Cookie butter latte & salted tiramisu latte) Everything was good, and we enjoyed their Lorraine quiche the most. We ended up ordering another quiche to enjoy back at the resort. The biggest complaint would be the wait. It was not a busy morning, but we waited almost 45 mins to get our coffee. A friend has been raving about this place for years, and I finally made it over (if you know Old Town, you know there's so many excellent places to dine at!). I chose the Seguin quiche (ham, goat cheese and caramelized onions) with potatoes and the hot cookie butter latte. I've never had a quiche before, and I found it super rich and filling. The flavors were fairly subtle; I'm not the biggest fan of goat cheese but it wasn't even detectable in this dish. The crust was truly amazing- tender, flaky and buttery. I rarely get sweet drinks (unless I'm at The Press!) but I was directed to try this particular latte. It wasn't overly sweet, and the ingredients were blended very nicely. (The Press Espresso makes a Nutella one and it has clumps at the bottom- I'll admit this place does it better!) The name of this bistro sounds fancy, but it's just a casual, pay upfront, find-your-own-seat type of sidewalk cafe. A difficult thing is, the street is on a hill so drinks don't stay level. Overall, I look forward to coming back. We keep coming back here for great coffee and delicious breakfast. We showed up during prime brunch time so we did have to wait a little to order but they are always so kind and friendly. Although you order your food at the counter, they do bring the food to you if you dine-in. This process seems to allow a flow where by the time you finish making your order, there's a few tables that free up. They are quick at clearing the table and cleaning it for the next diner when patrons leave. Food = quality here. Never looks or tastes like it was just put together to get it out. We wish we can replicate the BCO at home, something about it just makes it "chef's kiss". Tip: Might be late on this but I just found out they sell their coffee beans! I had a work conference in this area and Temecula is really far for me so I decided I would drive super early to avoid traffic and enjoy coffee somewhere. Well in my search for coffee, Le Coffee Shop came us as one of the best rated and visually appealing spots in town. Located in Old Town Temecula I really loved how Le Coffee Shop has so much character. Cute historic building and plenty of patio seating. You order at the counter, pay and seat yourself at any open table. For my intended purposes this was perfect so I can enjoy my coffee but leave when I need to leave without working about closing out a bill. Tyler was helping me and he was super welcoming and informative. Upon hearing it was my first visit in town, he gave a few great recommendations. I decided on a hot Salted Tiramisu Latte ($5.90) and a Croque Madame ($14.50) which comes with potatoes gratin, salad or fruit, which I opted for the fruit since I wanted a lighter option with plans coming up. Since it was early morning and not too crowded I helped myself to a larger table so that I would have space for my work laptops and the food and drinks. My glorious salted tiramisu latte came out first and it had a cute latte art design. The latte was amazing. I could take the tiramisu, salted caramel and chocolate as described. Super tasty! The croque madame came shortly after. If you are not familiar with a croque madame it is a croque monsieur which is a hot sandwich with black forest ham, emmental cheese, and bechamel sauce BUT BETTER because it is topped with an egg sunny side up. The French sure knows what they are doing... the Madame is better than the Monsieur. Maybe kidding... but to be completely serious IT WAS DELICIOUS. The edges were nicely toasted and the flavors were addicting. It was perfect. The side of fruit was also high quality and refreshing. What a gem in Old Town Temecula. Fun fact!! Unfortunately, my favorite breakfast item is the waffle but it never comes out warm:/ I really need a warm waffle! I order waffles at all of my favorite breakfast spots in town and this is the only place where it's always cold. So sad! The flavor WOULD be amazing warm but I've lost hope. There is not a single bad thing I could say about this place! I love how the menu isn't super big and overwhelming, yet there's always something great to try! The food is so delicious and filling. It's crafted carefully and plated beautifully. I really enjoy the sandwich with the chipotle sauce and Turkey bacon, so good! The Belgium waffle so superb! And I can always be promised a good cup of coffee here, Cafe Miel is my favorite. The owner Charlotte is so warm, kind, and generous. After a morning at the Temecula DMV, I wanted to see if there was a nearby coffee shop to try--- because, well, as we collectively hav experienced, waiting at the DMV can be rough and make one hungry... hangry? I didn't expect it to be presented as such, and it literally melted in my mouth. The salmon lox croissant was a generous serving and honestly good thing I sat there to eat it because whewwww, it was a lot. At first I thought it was nice of them to reach out, and briefly considered changing my review to four stars rather than three, because I felt like they actually cared about my experience. WRONG. After a short exchange, I realized they just wanted to make excuses, and not at all actually address the errors that were made by their staff. So I've decided to remove more stars and make it known to any future patrons that the customer is certainly not even close to being "right" at this establishment. I will not be returning, and will not recommend this business to anyone. Disappointed that there was no indoor seating, and the latte I had must have been decaf because I ended up at a gas station getting more coffee an hour later. Also, the cinnamon buns I ordered for myself and my kids would have been much tastier had they been warmed. I wouldn't suggest this restaurant, nor would I steer people away from going to it....
