I popped in to order my grandson's birthday cake, it's this lovely brownie bottom cheesecake that is to die for. Whenever I buy a slice I'm lucky if I actually get a bite. I ordered some breakfast, chai latte and the protein bowl. The chai latte is perfect, just the right amount of spice and sweet. And the protein bowl was filled with steak, bacon, red bell peppers, onions eggs and melted cheese with a bit of salsa on the side. I couldn't hardly finish it! This is a warm relaxing place with good vibes and friendly atmosphere and the people are pretty awesome too. Stopped by this coffee shop and WOW -- everything hit the mark. The chorizo burrito was hands down the star of the show... perfectly seasoned, flavorful, and seriously satisfying. The Italian sub was just as impressive -- fresh, packed with flavor, and made to perfection. Proper bakery is a nice addition to the Murrieta/Temecula desserts/sweets/pastries scene. The staff at Proper are warm, engaging, and kind. The gentleman who served me was calm, gentle, kind - and earnestly enthusiastic about the treats that Proper offers. I got the cinnamon roll and the chocolate roll. Cinnamon roll goodness is subjective; the following statements reflect reference my personal preferences. I found the cinnamon rolls to be very bread-like. I also found them to lack cinnamon. To be fair, i am eccentric- and zealous about cinnamon quantity, but i prefer a LOT more cinnamon. These roles had more of a 'snickerdoodle' quality to them- and i prefer a ton more cinnamon. I also felt there was not enough 'cinnamonny goo' () in the rolls. Like i said - I'm a cinnamon zealot - but i want more of that cinnaminny goooooeyness that makes that roll more chewy. This is not that kind of roll. This roll is a bit more on the 'dry' side. Maybe if I'd come earlier in the morning I'd have gotten one a bit more moist and fresh from the oven. I DID ENJOY the roll. It was fresh, it had a 'nice' flavor to it, and i am glad i got it. The frosting was very good! The chocolate roll was actually the same Kind of roll as the cinnamon roll- and I'd say it actually had MORE chocolate than the cinnamon roll had cinnamon- and that made it quite enjoyable, heated up at home. Somehow the chocolatty gooeyness factor was double that of the cinnamon roll- and i enjoyed that. I prefer rolls that are either MORE CHEWY or More flaky- or even better - have that exquisite combination of both chewy doughiness and light flakiness combined with rich excessively cinamonny cinnamon gooeyness. Perhaps Proper could experiment a bit with that??? I'll be back at Proper! They make really good treats. The staff is really earnestly nice. read more

Look for the Sherwin Williams Paint store and turn in to the industrial complex for a sweet treat and a delicious coffee. The baked goods are freshly made and include muffins, cinnamon rolls and croissants. Wow. So glad that we were visiting a ranch nearby and the timing worked out well to stop in for lunch before they closed. Located in an industrial type complex, decent parking, easy to find. When you walk in you see a fun, nice, clean place, loaded with fun decor, and it is decorated for Halloween right now too. The staff is a nice family, very friendly, service with a smile. Efficient, fast, and so nice and polite. Checking on us after the food was brought out. They said they have been open a little over 3 months ago. They play good music, there is nice seating inside, one small table outside, and inside there are some usb plugs under the table. Plenty of breakfast, lunch, and bakery items. Plenty of pics posted for you to check out. We tried several fantastic items. The Greek salad, it was reasonably priced, large portion, and yummy. A little too much dressing for me but still great. I also tried the Caprese sandwich. Wow. Definitely delicious. High quality ingredients. The Ciabatta bread, the balsamic drizzle. Outstanding. My portion was gone in minutes. The Chicken Ciabatta sandwich was so good too. More high quality ingredients, and delicious flavor. I also devoured my portion as well. Our friend tried the Cuban and he liked it as well. Then we ordered a variety of desserts. My wife liked the Mocha cookie, I did not try it. We all tried the white chocolate macadamia cookie, it was moist, soft, flavorful, so we ordered another one to go. I tried the Halloween cinnamon roll, it was large, soft, fluffy, and flavorful. The cheesecake brownie wad divine. Best of both worlds, part brownie and part cheesecake. Our friend got a burrito, and a jalapeno cheese bread roll to go, they looked good, but I did not get to try those. Proper is a new restaurant that opened 3 weeks ago! It's tucked away in a business area so there's plenty of parking. The owners are so sweet and accommodating. Everything is made in- house and they have everything including cookies, croissants, cinnamon rolls. I like savory goods for breakfast and got the jalapeno cheddar bun. It was nice and fluffy and something that wasn't too heavy. My partner got the loaded breakfast burrito and it was delicious! The eggs are fluffy and they really load it w flavor since they add the salsa in the mix as well. He was satisfied and food coma-ed in the car. We will definitely be back. Found this new spot tucked away off Jefferson amongst the auto mechanics/Brewery spot part of Murrieta. Went in around 8am with a friend after work. The service and food was impeccable. The person that served us treated us well and had our iced drinks and cookie ready served to us very nice. Then ordered loaded burrito (forgot to take a picture) because we loved how homemade it was and the salsa paired was amazing. I've lived in the area for a while and somehow never noticed Proper Bakery Café until yesterday. I stopped in for breakfast and ordered the breakfast chorizo burrito. The burrito packs a ton of flavor, and the salsa it comes with is just as good. I usually skip salsa on breakfast burritos because it's always generic, but this one was unique and actually added to the whole experience. The guy working the counter was very friendly and attentive, which made the visit even better. I had an appointment to get my car windows tinted nearby and was told that it would take around 4 hours to complete. They pointed to this cafe as a place for me to wait at so I walked over. The place is lovely and clean. There was someone always cleaning the tables as soon as they were emptied and the staff were so friendly. I was here for almost 4 hours and they didn't shoo me out (I got nervous cuz I was sitting at one of their biggest tables and it started getting busy).
