squash pasta, bread service and potatoes

I don't think I'll be back, but I did enjoy our meal we had. Our waiter wasn't super chatty, but very efficient. Nothing wow-ed me about the meal to make me want to come back. It felt very overpriced, but happy I got to try the spot. Ambience is perfect for a date night.

What a meal! My husband and I just booked a random date night here and we were pleasantly surprised! The bread serviced salad, bomba rice, and fettuccine were all delicious but my fave was the fettuccine! I do wish that the serving was bigger but the flavors more than made up for it! It is in the pricier side but I do understand that it's in Seattle and the ingredients and service are high-quality. I'd love to come back here for another date night!

I have been to Lark a number of times over the years. Really love the space they are in now. Great place for dinner with friends, a date, an event, or to sit at the bar counter. We held an event here just this past week in the mezzanine area. Exceptional food, service, and ambience was great. Noise level is perfect because you're still in the restaurant so you don't feel like it's a strange isolated room, the way I have felt at other places when you do a private seating, but you can hear everybody and it's not loud at all. We arranged for snacks to start with drinks. Then the three course menu they prepared for us had options for everyone, carnivore, pescatarian, vegetarian. The execution of the food, the pace of the meal, nothing could have been better. Highly recommend for an event or for dinner in the main restaurant.

Fantastic night out for us at Lark. The venue is beautiful and spacious. Definitely kind of like a labyrinth walking around things but the drappings and decor are just stunning. Service by Steven was great from beginning to end. Made a solid recommendation on the rice dish which I loved. My wife really loved the pasta dish. We will be coming back in the near future!

Lark is a much larger space than what I had originally thought looking at it from the outside. It's warm and inviting with a feel of fine dining. The service was spectacular with lovely recommendations on what to eat and with what wine pairings. Food was equally as tasty too! My only caveat is while the food, experience, and local wine selection were great, the price point not so much

Lark is an okay establishment with very high prices. The space is pretty, but not stunning, the service is good, but not great, and the food is interesting but lackluster - the cocktails however all around very good. The menu is a bit all over the place, which would be fine if the dishes were executed well, but they are not. The salad with ikura was fine, but lacked real perspective beyond just the ingredients - it had little flavor and unique direction as to where it would go. The arroz negre was fine - but so expensive for the quality, and not even close to the quality you would find in Spain! I would consider this place as a last minute spot for dates or work dinners. The churros at the end were just stellar

If you're game than worth trying. Their menu consists of game as the focal point. Crudo was excellent with a tempura shishito leaf to add texture. Chawanmushi is a cold version next and soft and big portion Elk chop was nice and huge Wagyu was filling with the oxtail croquette Chef menu 4 items $125 everyone has to order but if you a little one. They can opt out.

We had an enjoyable meal at Lark. It was my first time at this restaurant and I was impressed by the service. We had a reservation but our table was not ready when we got there so we waited at the bar for a bit. They apologized and did not charge us for the 2 cocktails we ordered. The ambiance is pretty modern. We decided to order the tasting menu and it was good except the wagyu beef had a weird texture, looked like the cut was not ideal, it had a tendon that made it hard to cut but the flavor was good. From the tasting menu I thought the soup and the hamachi crudo were absolutely fantastic! Definitely the best part of the meal. The tres leches crème brûlée was great as well.

Tasting menus is pricey but tastes are not the best. Even restrooms are shared with other restaurants.. Recommend to try other restaurant if you are looking for a fine dining!

Amuse Bouche seafood starter on crispy nori.... Yum!

New Year's Eve Prix Fixe Dinner We made reservations (of course). Arrived a few minutes early, but they were ready for us so were seated immediately. They checked / held our coats for us which was much appreciated since there wasn't a lot of room to 'stuff' them at the booth. The ambiance is upscale... classy, but not stuffy. Definitely a 'refined air' about the place, but in a casually elegant way. IMO.... Definitely a "date night" or "special occasion" type of place. Or maybe even a "power" business meal. This is going to be a Dining Experience with a capital D and E. Not a quick and boisterous meal. Service and Timing of everything was perfect. We were not rushed nor did we have to wait long in between courses. And our water glasses were always filled although I never saw them fill them. (hmmmm...) They have a lovely and great selection of cocktails and wines. We opted to go the wine route... and had a lovely bottle of Pouilly Fuisse and then additional glasses of wine later on. Because it was NYE, their full menu was not available. But their Prix Fixe menu was quite good so I don't feel like we were missing out on anything.... and I think most of what we had was on their regular menu. Plus, they had several options to upgrade to Caviar, Foie Gras and Wagyu if you wanted. We enjoyed the following: Amuse Bouche - seafood starter on crispy nori Bread service of 3 different types of 'bread'... one was actually a cracker Beet Salad Hamachi Foie Gras (because I decided to be fancy) Crab Bisque Burrata Cannelloni Black Cod Steak Mushroom risotto Quince tart/cake Chocolate torte/cake Lemon parfait Everything was tasty! And we did not leave wanting for anything... except maybe a warm blanket and a fire to sit by to continue digesting after all the decadence. Truly a lovely meal. Notables... * Hamachi ... melted in your mouth. I would have been happy eating another serving of this and calling it a night. Delicious! * The Foie Gras.... took me back to when my mom and I ate our way through Paris. It was unctuous and sinful. * Quince tart/cake.... I've never had quince before, so I was pleasantly surprised by how light this dessert was yet had a slight sweetness and slight holiday spice to it. I still can't describe what a quince looks like, but if I see it on the menu, I'd order it again just to see if it matched up to this one. There are so many incredible places to eat in Seattle so it's hard to choose. But this is definitely a Good One to experience if you want a nice Dining Experience.

5 star dining experience from start to finish James Beard award winning for a reason Staff are fantastic , welcoming, attentive and knowledgeable not only about the menu but source of the ingredients as well Menu covers all bases meat poultry and seafood with some vege options as well Very cool and chill vibe, quite liked the way the tables upstairs were separated by a curtain of fine see through material between them adding to the intimacy of the meal We had the English pea soup as a starter not something I would ever order but curiosity got the better of us and was not disappointed great flavour beautiful seasoned and combined with the truffled crispy cheesy bites with the iberico ham pieces baked inside was simply delicious The Iberian pork chop was perfectly cooked fork tender and delicious as was the halibut which with the salmon roe was a melt in your mouth taste of the sea and sensational while the sugar snap peas finely sliced were a subtle hit of sweet, fresh and a little crunch that complimented the fish perfectly Dessert, The Pav was beautiful to look at and great on its own but the brown sugared panna cotta , peanut butter sauce and bruleed bananas was a sweet sensation and great way to finish Extensive wine, spirits and cocktail menu with wine by the glass available as well Plenty of street parking and easy to get to out of the hustle and bustle of the city centre Fine dining and a memorable experience not soon forgotten ! Well worth the visit

Caramelle pasta
Michael C.

We went for drinks and some little bites. The food was top-notch. Complex flavors and gorgeous plating. We ordered the Seared Sonoma foie gras which was one of the best dishes we had. Melt in you mouth. The Carman Ranch steak tartare was also excellent (however the poppy seed crackers were a bit too salty for the otherwise perfectly seasoned tartare. The Caramelle pasta was also amazing. I highly recommend their pastas and plan to go back for more. For dessert we got the Shaw Island quince tarte tatin. It was a perfect end to the evening, and a great flavor profile for the winter season. We had several cocktails and I'm sad to say these did not live up to the mystique of the food. My Old Fashioned had chunks of ice and this made it very diluted (true Old Fashioned aren't even supposed to have ice). I ordered a second cocktail off their seasonal menu (Basic Witch) and this one was overpowered by pumpkin spice flavoring. Given the caliber (and cost) of items at Lark, I would expect more. Perhaps stick with wine.

From the moment you step inside, the atmosphere captures you: modern décor, intimate lighting, and a warm vibe that feels both upscale and inviting. Everything is immaculately clean and thoughtfully designed, setting the tone for an exceptional dining experience. If you're a bourbon lover, this place is paradise. Their collection is incredible, but what truly sets them apart is the service. The Bourbon Curators, Ms. Hannah and Mr. Tommy, along with our amazing waitress Ms. Sassy, make you feel like a VIP from start to finish. They welcome you with open arms and create a personalized bourbon journey -- teaching you about flavor profiles, history, and how to discover different palettes you never knew you had. It's not just a drink menu... it's an experience. And the food? Michelin-worthy. We shared the Autumn Chicory Salad and the homemade Autumn Mushroom Pasta -- both beautifully crafted, rich in flavor, and perfectly paired with the bourbon experience. Every bite showed off the kitchen's talent and passion. We were actually recommended this restaurant by strangers we met at the Seattle Space Needle -- and wow, did they steer us right. The Ballard's Cut surpassed every expectation. If you love bourbon, phenomenal food, and top-tier service from people who treat you like family, then this is the place. Do not miss it.

I genuinely don't know what to do with that explanation. The food took so long. I ordered my steak medium rare and it arrived overcooked. I thought this was a steakhouse and yall can't even cook a steak medium rare? One person in our party never received their salad despite asking multiple times. Their stupid steak dish is $50 entree with zero sides. I added cauliflower for an extra $17 charge and received something I could have made in five minutes. Finally, we tried to order dessert and were told they were out of the item we all wanted. This place is a ripoff with terrible service.

The space has a warm, modern-industrial vibe, wood floors, soft lighting, exposed ceilings, and thoughtful decorative touches. It's intimate without feeling cramped, and the open kitchen adds a nice energy. Our server was incredibly personable and professional, striking that perfect balance of friendly and knowledgeable. We did the American Omakase. We started with a trio of entry snacks: smoked anchovies, prosciutto with watermelon, and fresh focaccia. The anchovies were punchy and vibrant, definitely for fans of big flavor. The prosciutto and watermelon were refreshing, and the focaccia tasted like it came straight from a great neighborhood bakery. Course 1: Amberjack Crudo Fresh, clean, and beautifully balanced. The tomato compote and rolled vegetables paired so well together, and the flakes of salt on top really opened up the flavor of the fish. Course 2: Diver Maine Scallop Hands down one of the highlights of the night. The scallop was paired with breadcrumbs, oyster mushrooms, and a miso sauce that made the whole dish feel warm, savory, and almost Thanksgiving-like in its comfort. VERY good. Course 3: Pork Belly Served with carrot puree, apple "sauce", and leeks. The pork belly itself was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the sweetness of the apple paired perfectly. The leeks were a surprise standout. Course 4: Lamb Rich, moist, and deeply seasoned, with a lovely rub. The artichoke hearts added such a sharp, earthy contrast that it legit gave me goosebumps. The potato purée and jus tied everything together. Course 5, Dessert: Chocolate something (oops it was like a mousse) with Poached Pears & Raspberry Creamy, balanced, and not overly sweet. A perfect finish. Overall, Violet delivered a thoughtful, memorable meal with impeccable pacing and standout dishes from start to finish. Would absolutely return

The birthday celebrant was hoping for 1 beef course, but we were given 4 seafood courses and a dry pork belly. All the dishes were plated beautifully but all the dishes did not taste great. Although the scallop and fish were cooked to perfection and tasted delicious, not the the creative and exciting experience the other reviews raved about for the price. To finish off our meals, we shared the Olive Oil Cake ($14) - basil yogurt cremeux, strawberry gel, and the Chocolate Tiramisu ($16) - mascarpone, rum, amaretto, candied hazelnuts. What I loved: Oh man, every dish was delightful. I found something to savor and repeat in each of the dishes we were served. From the sweetness of the heirloom tomatoes, to the creamy burrata, from the crispy potatoes, to the fresh peas and everything in between. Our least favorite, at the table was the mushroom Angnolotti, inconsistent from bite to bite. The presentation of the Carrot & Tahini dip was a bit haphazard compared to the rest of the dishes served, but the flavor was still lovely. Why I loved it: The service was unparalleled, comfortable yet professional and quick to offer recommendations for our larger party. The decorations and quaint spaces truly welcoming, and the food, excellent. Cost: High ($40+ per person)
