We got the ube latte and iced Thai tea. The ube latte was nutty and delicious. I just wish it had been a tad bit hotter, but I'm sure you can ask for it extra hot. The iced Thai tea was well-balanced and not overwhelmingly sweet. The chicken waffle was also good--especially the chicken itself. It was lightly battered and crisp to perfection. I do wish the waffle was more toasted since it was a bit soggy even with barely any syrup. The fruits were fresh and tasted really yummy. As for the PaNang omelette, it was delicious!! It's filled with meat and vegetables, so it's pretty hearty. The curry was so good and had just the right amount of spice. I would highly recommend the PaNang omelette. Parking was difficult since it's in the Tenderloin, but it was definitely worth it. The workers are nice, and the place is really cute.
Delicious! Love that the Thai culture has fully embraced brunch and all these fusion brunch spots are popping up in the Bay Area. Came here for brunch with my girl and Lapisara did not disappoint. My cappuccino was delicious, strong, great foam ratio. Her ube latte was not overly sweet and good flavor. (Of course the cute cups were an added bonus). I ordered the panang beef omelette without the toast and it was so good! Flavorful, tender beef, egg was not over cooked and when you broke into the omelette the delicious curry started pouring out. Salad was fresh and potatoes crispy on the outside and creamy in the middle. My fried had the crab omelette which was also very good! Excited to come back and support this place, all their items look so delicious. Inside was very cute and modern, ample seating and very friendly staff.
Super cute cafe that's been in my bookmarks for over a year! Finally, we dined here on a weekday at around noon. Even found a parking spot right outside after circling once around the block. Thankfully, it wasn't crowded and there were a few tables available. I believe weekdays are less crowded. ***OUR PICKS*** CHICKEN WAFFLE ~ Their fried chicken is more crunchy and possibly done with mochiko flour. It has that texture verses fried chicken made with all purpose flour. Chicken was juicy and tender. Waffle was fluffy but not crispy. Nonetheless, it was enjoyable. The berries surrounding the waffle were nice and sweet. Portion is a bit smaller than the other dishes that we ordered. 4/5 FRIED CHICKEN EGGS BENEDICT ~ eggs perfectly oozy and delicious with the sauce! Crunchy chicken was good too! I only wished the potatoes had a crisp exterior. Still a yummy dish! 5/5 PERFECT PANCAKES ~ soft and fluffy pancakes with eggs over medium with chicken maple sausage. I didn't try this, but the person eating this was satisfied with it. 4.5/5 ICED UBE LATTE ~ really cute purple teddy bear ice cube sitting on a cloud of whipped cream and a daisy flower atop of lightly sweetened ube latte. Good till the last drop. Lovely and adorable! The bear stole my heart! 5/5 Wonderful service, delicious food, beautiful presentation, lovely atmosphere! Definitely a winner, in my book!
Came here for brunch due to Yelp good reviews and cute photos. It's a popular place and the place is tiny. However, our timing was perfect as we didn't have to wait for a table though the place is almost full. And I have to say, it didn't disappoint! It wasn't just a cutesy place with cute and Instagram worthy drinks but really flavorful meals, delicious drinks, reasonably priced,with nice and friendly staff. The food came quickly too. Would probably be back next time we're in the area!
The food here was so good: the fried chicken benedict was nicely portioned, the fry wasn't too oily, and for some reason the salad dressing paired so well. The iced bear in the ube latte was really cute and overall the drink was light and sweet. However the Thai tea was overly sweet. I only tried a small bite of the tom yum burrito -- this was my first trying fish sauce in a burrito and I would definitely try this in the future! It took a while to get seated even though the restaurant didn't seem too full for Saturday brunch. The tables are very comfy and service is attentive though! I wouldn't try parking around here, try to take public transit if you can help it
Came for a weekday brunch and was seated right away. The staff was super friendly and the there were so many creative options for thai-fusion dishes. The iced ube latte had such a rich, earthy ube taste (and the bear ice cube was so cute!!). The tom yum burrito was also incredible, and a squeeze of lime tied all the wonderful flavours together.
Came here after seeing it was on Yelp's top 100 and was staying a few blocks over at The Westin. The little bear ice cube in the Ube drink was cute. The food is a fusion of Thai and breakfast foods. We had the Sweet Dreams waffle with Nutella, it was kind of soggy from the ice cream they could have put the ice cream in a separate cup. I also didn't like how the dirty outside of the butter wrapper was touching the toast. I had the crab egg Benedict and it was just ok. Would have been better as a crispy crab cake than cold crab on not toasted egg muffin with a bunch of salad I didn't eat. I think I'm spoiled from the breakfast places in the South Bay so this didn't seem like anything special. The place was also super small and was crammed next to the table next to me. The service was good tho I did over tip and the total came to $120 for 2 people so this place is also not cheap.
One of the best brunch & dinner spots in the city. Best service, food is amazing, and I couldn't recommend enough. Love the chicken & waffles, panang omelette, strawberry croffle, and croissant breakfast sandwich for brunch. For dinner love the hot honey chicken and tuna tartare. I've eaten here like 30 times and I can't stress how amazing the staff are
After a late flight into San Francisco, we arrived at Lapisara Eatery for our 8:30 pm reservation just as the kitchen was preparing to close in about 30 minutes. Even so, our server was incredibly welcoming and assured us that we could relax and enjoy our evening as long as we wanted -- we just needed to place our food order before the kitchen closed. The food was absolutely delicious, especially the pad thai and tuna tartare. Every dish was flavorful and beautifully prepared. What really made the evening special, though, was the outstanding service. Our server was warm, engaging, and genuinely attentive throughout the meal. When he learned that one of our friends was celebrating a birthday, he surprised us with a lovely ice cream and chocolate dessert complete with candles. It was such a thoughtful touch and the perfect ending to a wonderful evening -- great food, exceptional hospitality, and a memorable experience all around. We will definitely be back!
Came here on a Fri morning for a late brunch (10:30 am) - I was staying in Union Square for a work conference and opted to take my out-of-town co-worker to an "Asian fusion" brunch, which seems to be a specialty in California. LOGISTICS If you're staying at a hotel in Union Square, this is a fairly short walk from the area via Post St... it wasn't too sketchy in the daytime. Just be advised not to overshoot or you may end up wandering into the Tenderloin neighborhood, which I don't advise for tourists. Regardless, it's a cute corner restaurant that gets a lot of natural lighting from the windows. Modern decor with airy vibes. We were able to get in without reservations on a Friday morning, but I imagine on weekends it might get crowded so expect a wait or make reservations in advanced by calling or using their email form on the website. FOOD Ube Latte ($6) - Points for presentation - this was served in a glass bear cup. I could taste the sweet potato flavor, so it was a nice morning pick me up to start the day. Whipped cream made it extra decadent. Tom Yum Burrito ($24) - Fusion burritos are popular in the Bay Area, and this one hits the spot. I like how it was super flavorful from the Tom Yum paste mixed in the rice and had quite a bit of protein between the mushrooms, egg, and chicken. They serve it hot so be advised not to burn your tongue when trying to devour it. The tortilla chips they served were also quite good! My only wish was that it came with a better salsa... the tomato based salsa they provided was just OK, but there could have been something more creative done. OVERALL Service was quick and efficient as we were able to order, get our food, and be out in within an hour on a Friday morning. For those on business travel, they're only willing to split checks between two cards. Food is expensive... but comparable to pricing for similar brunch experiences in the Bay Area. I get a little sad knowing I paid $24 for a burrito in CA, but at least it was an interesting one! Portion wise I felt it was generous and even got the other half to go... which I was able to enjoy on a beach later that day. Since it was so flavorful to begin with, it held up!
Stumbled up on this place while hungry and frantically searching for good places in SF . Ambience is cute, service is fast. Loved the Thai fusion menu. Many items on the menu caught my eye. I had the mocha, hot ube tea as well. It was served in a cute but difficult to drink cup . Tasted great, loved the ube sugar on top. We ordered chilli bomb omelette and garden eggs Benedict. I wish they had option to customise the menu to be veg . Like we wanted the Tom yum burrito without the meat but they couldn't do that. Parking is a nightmare but glad we came here on a weekday and avoided the weekend crowds.
The best place to have breakfast/brunch in San Francisco! Bright, beautiful, and atmospheric interior where we enjoyed our meal. Delicious food with a huge variety of dishes to choose from. Very friendly and lovely staff. It's always a wonderful experience and leaves such a pleasant aftertaste after every visit.

The beef panang curry omelette was delicious!! Host was lovely. Didn't give five stars because they wanted to charge my spouse $6 for gluten free toast. And when she asked the woman to take the regular toast that came out (she's celiac - not just trendy gluten free), the woman silently mean mugged her into keeping it on her plate. Weird... read more

Such a cute spot for Thai inspired brunch. Tons of fun options on the menu, both sweet and savory, so there's something for everyone. They go all out for birthdays so would definitely recommend coming here for a birthday :)) They give free dessert and also a small gift. So sweet! Got the tom yum burrito which came with a massive serving of chips (yum) and tom yum salsa I think (it was very good w the chips). The burrito itself was okay -- it was very filling and flavorful, but nothing super special. Their omelettes looked really good. The portions here are huge. Fantastic service (everyone was super sweet and kind!) and food comes out very quick! Come at 10:30 to avoid a line. read more

Cute brunch spot in SF! Food - Yummy! The croffle is a must! It was so good and the perfect texture (hybrid between a croissant and a waffle). It was sweet but not too sweet. Super cute with gold sprinkles and for $14, I'd get it again! The burger was a regular big burger, but the fries were exceptional! it was coated with extra seasoning that made them irresistible! The matcha latte was TOO overpriced. Yes, it was aesthetic and cute, but almost $9.00 for a matcha latte (which was mostly ice) was not worth it...sorry! Service - Good service overall. Our server was nice and attentive. Ambiance - We sat outside on the sidewalk, as the wait for the inside was too long. I would definitely recommend going earlier and waiting for an indoor seating. The inside was cute and spacious and looked comfortable. Unfortunately, my friend and I had to sit outside with a broken table and in a slanted Angle due to the fact that the restaurant sits on a small hill. Also, lots of people were walking by, so it wasn't as nice of a brunch as I was hoping it to be. Overall, great restaurant with good and cute food. Very instagrammy (if you're into that!) I love this place, consistently delicious. A great variety of food items, both savory and sweet! Everything I've tried has been excellent, and the drinks come in cute little bear glasses if you want to get something even more picturesque. Service is always fast and friendly, they're very efficient so even if there's a wait to sit down they are quick to get to you once seated. Got here around 9:30 am on a Sunday and had about a 15 min wait (FYI they will not seat you unless your whole party is there) Shared 2 dishes with 4 people and this was the perfect amount of food. -Ube Latte - fire, the hot one is served in the cutest little cup. Loved the little honey/gold crunchies on top -chicken waffle - so good I was impressed, the chicken was perfectly crunchy and great flavor and the waffle was also spot on, great dish perfectly balanced sweet/salty -holy basil omelette - this place was complete with potatoes (love that it was a mix of different potatoes including sweet potatoes), salad and toast. Decent fusion Asian restaurant that actually tastes good. Really enjoyed their Thai omelette with some hot sauce. The ube latte was okay but it was served lukewarm instead of hot. I've been eyeing this asian brunch place for a really long time and I loved it! Went with a friend for brunch on the weekend and didn't have to wait too long for a seat. The eggs benedict was super yummy, and our favourite part of course were the super cute lattes in mason jars with frozen bears. The one thing I wish they had was more variety for a sweet menu. This was such a cute find! We were surprised by the cute bears in the drinks and it was so nice to get them when we ordered!! They have a nice variety of food and many vegetarian options. Although I wish they had at least one vegetarian fusion brunch option because I wanted to try a fusion brunch item!! But whatever we got tasted yum! We got the garden omelette and the strawberry croffle! We enjoyed them both and there were other items we wanted to try so we'll be coming back! I had my first visit when a coworker kindly treated me to lunch, and it was such a great experience. I ordered the Grilled Pork, which was delicious, and I couldn't help but notice how beautifully plated the other dishes around us were as well. The host and servers were kind and very pleasing, which made the meal even more enjoyable. The restaurant has a bright, welcoming vibe with décor that carries a Southeast Asian colonial charm. My first visit to this eatery for dinner and I'm happy to say it was well worth the trip. Upon entering, the staff were friendly and welcoming and I noticed the interior vibe provides a casual & trendy, yet intimate atmosphere, suitable for breakfast, brunch, or dinner with outdoor seating available. The menu offers a mix of Thai and American breakfast dishes, popular for brunch, so arriving early can help avoid long wait times, especially on weekends. My chicken & waffle was delightful, with an excellent balance between the sweetness of fluffy waffle nestled underneath the savory, crispy fried chicken. This was an easy choice for my first dish to try here. The Pad Thai was vibrant & flavorful along with the portion being generous enough to share with the table. Fish & chips were decent, but not remarkable or memorable in any particular way. (This review is for dinner only, not brunch:) My new favorite Thai restaurant in the city -- and the main reason is because they have Mussaman, my favorite curry, which isn't easy to find in the Bay Area and, when you do find it, it usually isn't prepared right. Mussaman is traditionally made with stew beef -- not a curry where you choose the protein -- and simmered overnight so the curry gets well infused into the meat, also includes potatoes and peanuts (Lapisara adds a few more vegetables) and has a very unique, sweet coconut/peanutty curry flavor. It is cooked perfectly here and is absolutely delicious. Unfortunately, I did not get a photo but will next time. My friend and I also had the chicken satay (referred to as "skewers" on the menu) which was excellent and great peanut sauce, and the Drunken Noodles, which is essentially Pad Kee Mow, another fantastic dish, very flavorful. I loved my meal so much I came back a few days later to try a few more things and had their Tom Kha soup with chicken which was wonderful, as well as a side of multi-colored potatoes, which were also delicious (although that was special order as they're usually served brunch only -- their "fries" on the dinner menu are your more basic french fries). Service is excellent, very homey interior and seating, and prices are in line with similar Thai restaurants, maybe even a few dollars less on certain dishes. This place is incredible. The fried chicken Benedict was perfection--crispy chicken, crispy toast, and poached eggs done right. My daughter loved the crème brûlée French toast, and my son's steak and eggs were perfectly cooked and flavorful. The kids had ube lattes with adorable teddy bear ice cubes, and the bartender made us espresso martinis (not on the menu) that were some of the best we've ever had. I got here too early meeting up with a friend, but the owner lady was so nice. She told me to wait for my friend inside towards the back because it was so cold out this morning. The place had a light and airy ambiance and seating was very comfortable. The owner seems to really want everyone to feel comfortable and enjoy their time eating here, painstakingly re-arranging furniture to make sure everyone in all the parties could sit comfortably around each other without blocking the flow of service too much. The coffees and lattes come in this adorable upside down teddy bear cup. I couldn't resist ordering the tom yum burrito for brunch because I've never seen this anywhere else before. Went to Lapisara with friends one weekend because my friend has been raving about their chicken and waffles! We got a reservation and thank goodness we did because it gets pretty packed. I ordered the Chicken Benedict, my friends got chicken and waffles and california omelet. We all had green tea latte as well! Food was incredibly great! Savory, crunchy, sweet, tasty and the green tea latte just balances all the umami out with its subtle sweetness! The place is cozy and has open layout. Staff are welcoming and very friendly. We came to Lapisara for brunch on a Saturday for the first time. The auntie at the door was so kind and attentive, and the food was AMAZING. I got the Thai panang omelette and my friend got the chicken and waffles in the parklet outside. I'd assume it was a Thai inspired restaurant and it would have more of a Thai fusion but it was just your average chicken and waffle and crab Benedict. It tasted great tho! Except the Benedict was a little bitter. The waffle was a little soft instead of crispy. Matcha with oat was good, the iced macchiato was a bit sweet. The little ice bear was a cute aesthetic touch to photo ops. Service: It was great, they were really nice and attentive. They checked on us multiple times to see if we're ready to take our orders. Cannot recommend Lapisara Eatery enough! This Thai Fusion Brunch spot always has a line out the door and now I know why! We were a group of 5 arriving around 12:30pm on a Sunday. They don't take reservations on the weekends so we waited in line for just over half an hour. We were given menus in line so we were able to order right after getting seated. I tried the Tom Yum Burrito and the Thai Panang Omelette. The Tom Yum Burrito tasted just like a Tom Yum soup with very flavourful chicken and rice fillings. I also liked the chips it was served with and of course the Tom Yum "salsa". The Thai Panang Omelette was equally flavourful. The sauce may be too spicy for some. I enjoyed the side of sourdough toast since it was so flavourful as well as the medley of different potatoes. The only thing I would change is frying the potatoes to make them crispier. The waitstaff were attentive and friendly, especially the hostess seating everyone who checked in on us when our meal was done. This is the place for cute brunch vibes, insta worth dishes, and delicious food! We did a walk in on Sunday around 11:30am & there was no line. Shortly after around noon the line started. I enjoyed their food. It is a Thai American fusion restaurant. The place is different from the several Thai restaurants located near the Tenderloin. Their burgers are huge and delicious. I also enjoyed their Chicken and Waffles. Customer service was good. I looked forward to trying out more items on their menu. read more

Yes they do, and highly recommend making reservations if you have other plans for the day - you'll get a table quicker. Once you're seated they will time your party for a max of 90 min.

yes fresh crab and all fresh ingredients.

Both...for lunch there is the Tom Tum Burrito...but for dinner they serve both the soup and burrito.
