Tbh this place is just eh and I'm only writing this review because there's TONS of coffee spots and cafes all throughout Austin that you can try before this one! I got a coffee, lemon tart and a donut. The tart was the best thing and it was over $5 after tax alone. I do think you can get more for the price and taste somewhere else. The service was eh as well not the friendliest or ruddiest:)
Grabbed a Raspberry chocolate croissant from the South Lamar neighborhood while driving to downtown. Love the ambiance and the decor. The staff were nice and it wasn't crowded. Wish they had ample space to park. Will return to try their tarts, muffins , coffee and macaroons.
Off the beaten path on an adorable little house. Patio and two adorable rooms. Quiet and cold during the summer with French pastries and standard coffee and espresso drinks. A perfect Saturday alternative to a loud and busy business on Saturday morning and afternoon such as nearby Swedish Hill across Annie at S 1st, or Proud Mary on Lamar or any of the other increasingly busy brunch and coffee spots in South Austin. I've come here on and off for years and it's still going steadily along. Perfect study spot if you can get a spot during the day. Even more perfect to meet up with someone new who you want to get to know. Very easy to have a quiet conversation.
I was on the search for a Vietnamese Coffee Christmas Eve morning. Many shops were already closed for the holidays, but not La Patisserie! I'm so sorry I wish I could remember her name...maybe Amanda? She was beyond kind and sweet. Got my Vietnamese Coffee and sat out on their super cute french inspired patio with our pup. Yes they are dog friendly! As we sat we watched all the neighborhood regulars walk in with their families. What a cute and friendly neighborhood cafe!
April 21, 2023 I was on my way home (back to Galveston) and had to stop at this girly French themed bakery. I got 3 different macarons and a cortado- everything was tres' bien! Love the art on the outside of the structure and the art in the RR-1 window is staind class; it's a window of flowers!
We stopped by here from our tour with Cliff (Best of Austin small group tour-highly recommend!). The macarons were delicious! And a bunch of us ordered more to bring home. I wish I had more time to get the Vietnamese Cold Coffee. For any visitors, this is close by the Austin mural and a great place take pics.
Lovely cafe with wonderful treats!. We came here Saturday for a chai latte, croissant and macaroons. We really enjoyed sitting on the front patio. Staff wwere friendly and overall atmosphere is very inviting. We'll be back!!
The CUTEST French bakery. We got the BOGO croissant & cinnamon sugar muffin, as well as two macarons. The lady behind the counter was literally the most kind and gave us good suggestions on ffe rent murals to see around Austin after we told her we were mural searching. The croissant was, and I kid you not, the most delicious croissant I've ever had. It was about an hour before close, so I know they were from the morning, but it was still the best croissant ever. The butter was slightly sweet on top, and the insides were so so perfect. Crispy on the outside, perfection on the inside- it was delicious! We sat outside on the high top table nearest the front door, and we really enjoyed ourselves with the perfect spring weather. We would LOVE to return!

La Patisserie is conveniently located to the left of the famous Greetings From Austin Mural sign. My initial plans were to stop by the mural to take a quick picture and walk to my next destination. Given that Austin was in the triple digits, it was only best to grab a drink for the road. I ordered a hibiscus tea and a salted caramel macaron. I got the last of the pre-made tea (as they ran out.. hence my cup not fully filled) and it was pretty watered down. However, I was super thirsty and chugged it. As for the macaron, I'm not a huge fan of them but have to say the salted caramel was delightfully yummy. It had the perfect flavor in the inside and slight crisp on the outside - very well baked. Cute little shop - has a great selection of macarons and drinks plus there's seating indoors and outdoors if you want to lounge. Definitely a great pit stop when visiting the mural - highly recommend!

I went around 12p on a Sunday, but there was still a good selection of pastries to choose from. I opted for a glazed crobrio and a slice of red velvet. It was pretty tasty! I'll definitely be back to try more of the baked goods.

Went on a Saturday afternoon and got a 6 pack of their macarons. They were best I've had in Austin! They were fresh, flakey, light and busting with flavor! I got the Rose, grapefruit, lavender, Earl Gary, Orange Heaven and lemon. Each macaron I could vividly taste the flavor they were going for. They were all good, but my favorite were the grapefruit and lemon. The macarons felt a bit too sweet and are pricey, hence removing one star. There is plenty of street parking in the neighborhood near by and the ambience is very small cute place. Girl at the front was kind. Definitely check this place out for macarons! Will be back for their pastries! read more
Totally adorable French bakery off South 1st. When you walk in the door, you're instantly hit with the most aromatic Parisian baked good scents. Smells of croissant, chocolate, muffins, macarons, & more encompass your very being. The flavor smells wafted over me like a brilliantly executed perfume. Intoxicating and hunger-inducing, even on a full belly. Absolutely delectable treats. Awesome service. Front patio area as well as indoor seating. Half off baked goods after 4 p.m.--talk about a sweet treat! read more

The storefront was so cute and loved all of the pink decor! The inside was also aesthetically adorable, cute, and quaint! Everyone was super friendly and attentive - answering all of our questions! We loved the macarons selection and will definitely be back next time we are in Austin! read more

What a cute little house-turned-bakery near the mural! I thought this spot was so great. The macarons were so well done and the variety of flavors was really pleasant. You also get a free macaron with a purchase of a certain amount if you check-in and the person working was nice enough to just give it to us after we checked out since we didn't realize it until much later! Not pictured was also the wild strawberry macaron we tried, which was really delicious. Honestly, all their macarons were fantastic - I think if I had to pick one that was my favorite, it'd be the honey lemon, but they were each delicious and unique in their own way! The tea was what you'd expect for an ice tea and hit the spot on a hot day. Overall, if you're in the area, I'd recommend this spot for their delicious baked goods and cute ambiance! read more

What a delicious find in this trip to austin!! Was looking for a cronut and instead found this place with a CroBrio.... omg how is this legal??! Granted it is very sweet but the filling was so spectacular- and plentiful! I loved it! Was big enough to share!! Also the location is right next to the famous Austin mural so if you go there you have an instagrammable spot right away... not to mention that the patisserie itself is suuuuper pink and cute! Come and get them: next time I'll make sure to try their croissants too! read more

Will not go back! I have a $50 giftcard that I received and they would not honor it because they said they changed ownership. However, they are still operating as if they are the same business with the same logo and business name. Then I asked if I could talk to a manager and then they made me wait 20 minutes then said they were too busy to talk to me and had me leave my name and number on a napkin with a dry erase expo marker. I cannot believe how this was handled. This was at the burnet location. read more

Cutest coffee shop! Simple menu. Very clean bathrooms. They ran out of Vietnamese iced, so I got cold brew. The macarons were a bit soggy and the flavor was faint.. couldn't taste the difference between pistachio and lavender. Service is fast and polite. read more
Love, love, loved this lil coffee shop. All thanks to cool painted Austin mural/post card. It's a few steps away from the landmark. It looks like it was an old house converted into a coffeehouse/dessert place. The coffee is of course delicious, and the desserts looked scrumptious. We ordered some macaroons and were not disappointed. My only complaint was that I wanted a French press coffee but it was shut down for the day when we visited. Besides that we had a great time. Tourist tip bonus! Check out the bathroom, it has a funny and cute mural about unicorns. read more
Nice spot for coffee and a dessert; they have a shaded patio outside and are right off of 1st street so you can people watch a bit as they go to the famous Austin sign. They also have a drive-through if you don't want to go inside. They have a pretty good selection of different kinds of French pastries, including beignets, which we were excited about since we're going to NOLA soon. The people were cool and friendly, quick, and made a nice special coffee, and they have plenty of macrons, that were quite good; I'm not usually a big fan of them but they had nice flavor and weren't too sweet. read more

Really good macarons (limited other options for gluten-free). I loved their chai tea latte as well. Their packaging is so pretty too. You can definitely tell when a small local business has had their owner put their heart and soul into thinking of every detail. Edit: the main kitchen is at their Burnett location and apparently if you pre order for this location, they will send gluten-free baked good items here, such as cake slices, scone, etc. That being said, the cranberry scone I had was meh. read more
I ordered an iced chai latte, vanilla latte, and a cream puff at both of their locations. Honestly, their coffee is pretty mediocre. They don't use house-made syrup, so everything tastes generic. Their employees are really nice, which I appreciate. I wasn't the biggest fan of my cream puff, either. It was almost a bit too hard and sweet. It's definitely a really cute pastry shop, but I personally wasn't a fan. Perhaps I should be judging more on their pastries than on their actual coffee, but my two separate visits did not impress me. read more

They had a sign on the door stating they are closed until 3pm due to repairs. A group of people were sitting outside. They saw us outside but at 3pm nothing happened. I went up to the door to ask if they are open and they let us in. It would have been nice if they had at least come out and acknowledged that we sat and waited. Absolutely no customer service and the maroons were stale tasting as if they were old. The outside is cute. Sort of reminds you of Alice And Wonderland's tea party. The inside could use some tidying up. They didn't have many options and I'm not sure if that was due to repairs. I plan to give it another try but I do hope it's better. read more
Short line around 12:30pm on a Monday holiday. Pros: -Croissant donuts (only 1 left around 12:30pm) -Nice assortment of pastries -Some indoor and outdoor seating -Restroom -Kids area -- Croissant Donut ($5.00) Glazed croissant donut. Light sweetness from the glaze, slightly buttery chew from the croissant dough. Awesome layers. Sometimes these are filled but the one that was left was not. I would definitely try a filled one if I returned! read more
