Sandwiches were fantastic. Coffee was okay. Vibes were very nice though. I love the plants and the wooden structures.

Nicest coffee place in Metrotown area. Big desert selection and variety of beverages . Food tasting good and well portioned , relaxing ambience , strong wifi and friendly attentive service , wc are clean and not smelly . Because their wishbone chairs are so comfortable , I purchased the same chairs for my dining area at home . Definitely worth to visit !

Waiting time: 5/5 Cleanliness: 5/5 ‍Service: 4/5 Taste: 3.5/5 Pricing: 3/5 Overall: We're regulars here since it's just a short walk from home. Came by around 10:30 AM today and, surprisingly, there wasn't much of a lineup. Usually it's packed and the line's out the door! The food and drinks are always consistent - nothing over the top, but solid. Prices for drinks are reasonable, but the food is a bit a bit overpriced... Still, it's a reliable spot for a quick coffee run, and I've got my eye on their smash burger next time!

I have found my to go coffee/breakfast spot in Burnaby today! Forget Starbucks or Blenz, this "pretty as a picture" cafe I read is supposed to be Vancouver's largest. This former auto body shop's transformation is impressive! While I think it is too busy for business meetings, it is ideal for casual conversation and relaxing with friends. What awed me is the high ceilings, well decorated spaces to provide a modern yet comfortable vibe. A Pinterest dream! Attractive, fresh baked goods welcome you on tables as you enter. Prices and descriptions are given but it would be helpful if allergen ingredients were listed as well. I had a relatively flawless experience when ordering and selecting a table just before 10:00 am today. After a few minutes, I was able to pick up my iced lavender, soy latte to enjoy with my match cloud croissant. A deal at $6.50 for a match filled hazelnut matcha topping and delicate flaky layers all around! A sweet, moist interior and a flaky colorful exterior. Excellent! My 16 oz latte was $5.65. Two shots of espresso, I subbed for soy milk $1.00 and added lavender syrup $1.00 Very good! Be sure to stir before enjoying! Fifteen minutes passed by and tables were beginning to be snapped up and a small line formed by the ordering counter in front of the refrigerated cases. I can understand why they have signs on large tables requesting that parties of three or more to occupy those tables. Smaller groups are suggested to take the smaller tables to make room for everyone. I love seeing the variety of customers visiting this morning. Cyclists in full gear, a tutor and a student, pairs of friends, a large meeting group and people just like me, solo wanting to enjoy this vibrant attractive cafe and be grateful for this day!

Great food! Great coffee! Great staff! The ambiance is nice but can get very busy. Would definitely recommend if meeting up with friends or family and even larger groups.

I am rating this place 5 stars for keeping up its service, ambiance and food taste after being opened for 8+ years. It's also a place where I felt the staff are deserving of being well tipped though all the customers still have to stand and wait in line to place order at the counter. My only complaint or wish may be offering a system that allow customers to reorder foods via QR code at the tables instead of lining up at the counter. This is a place that earned loyal customers' repeat visits for its overall yummy foods, good service and cozy ambiance. And kudos for suriving the COVID days. Its parking situation is still quite tight where both of their attached parking lots in the back and front are usually full but there are plenty of free residential spots so parking is not a huge issue. This extremely spacious and "foresty" bakery/coffee place is walking distance from Royal Oak SkyTrain and Bonsor community centre which makes it a convenient spot to pick up dessert or meet up for brunch, coffee, afternoon tea or late night munchies. Notes about foods: I had complaints when gifting their whole mango cakes before but their cake slices and cruffins have been consistently well liked. Strawberry cream cruffins ($7.99) are pretty and not too sweet. I also appreciate the savory items and their spicy bulgogi sandwich ($16.99) is good though quite spicy! Matcha latte ($5.50) and flat white ($4.55) were good, may not seem exceptional to the true coffee lovers but I think most will be won over by the natural lighting, overall decor and cozy vibes when enjoying a coffee or pastry item here. They also serve a variety of shaved ice so definitely a cute stop during the summer to cool down.

Been here once but a friend wanted to meet for brunch and suggested La Foret. We were unaware that they had opened up a second location by Royal Oak. Went on a Saturday around Noon and parking was tough to find as there's only around 8 spots out front. There was a line out the door to get in, order, and get seated. The Jubilee location is huge and I can see it be used and booked privately for a corporate event or a private party. It has nice greenery throughout and they have various baked goods such as croissants, buns, cakes, and more with various Asian inspired flavours. They also have a great Cafe menu drinks plus various brunch items. My friend got the sausage platter and I got the chicken sandwich with a large jasmine tea. After we ordered and paid, a staff member seated us at one of the few available tables left. The sandwich was a good size and was delicious. Served with a side salad, it was perfect for brunch/lunch. Beautiful decor and atmosphere with solid food and service - recommend and see why they are busy.

This cafe is possibly my favourite location to grab a caffeinated drink and a sweet treat while studying or yapping with friends. It can get pretty busy on weekends and requires a small wait. The staff are very kind and help you find an open table. My mom's favourite thing about La Foret is the high ceilings and the incredible feeling of spaciousness which she doesn't often find at other cafes. The seating is relatively comfortable and the there are tables away from the entrance area which gets cold during the winter months. The coffee drinks are delicious and I usually sway towards a black Americano, latte, matcha latte, and Spanish latte. I've also tried many of their waffles and bingsu and I would definitely recommend that you share with another person given its portion. We got a Mango Waffle and Injoelmi Bingsu for three people as a dessert, and we were all incredibly stuffed with some leftovers. Their Bingsu is made with shaved milk/cream which is different than the other East Asian desserts that drizzle condensed milk over ice. This location is a 10-15 min walk from the Metrotown skytrain station. The 49 bus has a stop about 5 mins away from the cafe. The parking lot is quite small (~8 spots in the front and ~5 in the back) and street parking on that street is always full. On several occasions, I needed to drive a little further away from that area to park and walk over.

A beautiful and spacious location in Jubilee Avenue. There was huge queue but it moved pretty quickly and we were able to get a seat on a sunny Friday afternoon. The ambience could've been enhanced a little I guess with some music. A giant ladder was there at the back which seemed a little out of place. I guess it was a very busy day with heaps of people, I need to come on a weekday to see if the ambiance changes. The food was really good. We ordered a spicy bulgogi sandwich and a earl grey croissant. Personally, I found the croissant a tad bit too sweet. I prefer their matcha croissant but I didn't try it in this location. My caramel machiato was okay. I prefer how they make it in the Royal oak location. But would definitely come back for the space on a quieter day.

This place has such a nice vibe. I love the foresty feel to it. It's such a big place and it's always busy. I came here to try cruffins, but sadly, they were out by 6pm when I went. Most of the specialty croissants were also gone except 2 earl greys. I ordered one and was surprised they packed it up in a big box - I wish they had smaller sized boxes for small orders. It was really good material and gives the feeling that they invest in their ingredients as well. The croissant was fantastic. Filled to the brim with cream that has been infused with earl grey. You can definitely taste the tea. Well worth the money. I would like to come back to try their other flavors as well as their cruffins.

C'est un super endroit pour étudier et sortir. J'adore l'ambiance! La nourriture était bonne et les serveurs étaient sympas. It's a great place to study and hang out. I love the vibe! The food was good and the servers were nice.

It's a stylish shop that's instantly recognizable as a popular spot. It gets crowded on weekends, so it's best not to stay too long. It seems that many people order plates or breads that are like sweets.

Forest/nature themed coffee shop just N of Metropolis. La Foret = The Forest in French. Parking is available both in front and behind the building, but there aren't enough spots. Fortunately, there is also plenty of street parking along Jubilee. The interior of this coffee shop is absolutely stunning. Mind. Blown. This has to be the single nicest coffee shop in the entire city. Not to mention that it is also probably the single largest coffee shop in the entire city. Add 1 star. I just stood and stared for a minute upon stepping in. High ceilings, large plants and trees along the entire middle section, and the seating area is large enough to house an entire basketball court. Beautiful natural theme, with wood trim and stone cladding. The only noticeable remnant of the previous incarnation (commercial vehicle repair shop) is the crane rail above the main counter. Look for the curved rail running the length of the building. Most (if not all) of the staff are Korean. Everyone was friendly and very efficient. Besides a bakery, this place is actually a brunch place as well. Bakery items are definitely on the pricy side compared to places like Breka, but are cheaper than places like Thierry. Brunch platter prices are also high, but the portion size is very decent, and everything looked good. My buddy thought the coffee was watered down, but I thought it tasted fine. The place was definitely quite full and bustling the entire time I was there, and it is very easy to see why. I'm definitely coming back at some point to try more stuff. Recommended.

Gray Olive Cafeteria is a bright and simple brunch spot that serves a variety of classic, but well-executed brunch dishes and drinks. The popularity of the place showed as we waited almost an hour for a table today (granted it was a stat), with people continuing to flow in while we were dining. My boyfriend explained that they were originally a small diner, but later upgraded to more spacious seating. The waitress (who was also hostessing) was kind and apologetic for the wait. After we sat down and ordered, the food arrived very quickly. The chicken and waffles immediately caught our eye as it seemed almost one person at every table had ordered it. For $1.75, you can also opt to have your chicken made spicy, and it was very worth it! I also really liked the waffles, despite usually preferring chewier waffles. These waffles had a crispier bite, but were fragrant and delicious regardless. The crab cake benny was also a delicious umami bomb with great textures and flavours. Keep in mind, there probably isn't a lot of actual crab (mostly imitation from what I saw and tasted), but it still tasted good. One standout was the hashbrown potatoes. They were perfectly seasoned and so crispy! I also appreciated that everything wasn't too salty and perfectly seasoned for my asian taste buds. I will definitely return, but on the basis of coming for a reservation only!

We ordered the mussels as an additional appetizer in white wine broth and also each ordered the $45 menu. We both selected the Oven Roasted Beef Striploin and for dessert there was a choice of cheesecake with caramel sauce, cinnamon cheesecake, and black forest cake. My Mom chose the black forest cake and I ordered the cinnamon cheesecake. The mussels appetizer dish was quite generous in quantity for $23 and mussels were a good size. Served with 2 slices of toast, the white wine sauce was more watery than other places but still decent.
