The VIBES! If you've been to their other location by Metrotown, then you know what I'm talking about. The interior feels cozy and you know you want to just relax and take your time. Parking. Very little parking up front, but they have a few spots in the back and a lot more on the street in the back as well. Do not park in the area where there are signs that say 'DO NOT PARK'. Respect other buisness, friends. When you walk in you're greeted with delicious baked goods in cases and pre-wrapped in individual bags. Grab a tray and pick what you like. If you want a meal from the kitchen, check out the menu and order accordingly. At the Austin location they have brunch items like eggs benedict and chicken and waffles, pastas, soup and salads. Once they give you a buzzer, take a seat and wait. If you have a larger party then you can drag tables and chairs together. We ordered: Spanish Latte (iced) $6.30 Mocha (iced) 6.30 Chicken and Waffles $21.99 We also got a bunch of buns to eat later ranging around $5 each. The coffee is delightful, honestly can't go wrong. But if you need more sugar or honey they have a station set up on the side for utensils, ketchup, hot sauce, and sweeteners. Fried Chicken was great, and with the syrup it worked. The black waffle was dense and flavourless. Would not order again. Do go and enjoy the vibes. Grab a coffee or tea and just relax, or bring your work with you and use the free wifi.

Finally got around to visiting the Austin location of La Foret. Parking was very difficult because they have two tiny parking lots (one in front and one in back) and it's definitely not big enough for the amount of people inside. I even visited on a weekday and it was all full. The inside was also very crowded and full. It's also unfortunate because sound carries super well and it gets very loud inside since it's just one big giant open space. It was a bit disappointing for a cafe experience. Everything else was on par with my visits previously to the other locations. The space was nicely decorated with lots of plants. The food and coffee were both good and the service was fast. Not sure I'll visit again just due to preference for other cafes in the area.

Tried this location after we had gone for a stroll at Mundy Park. There are a few parking spots in front. Inside is big with plenty of tables, although not as big as their original location on Jubilee Ave in Burnaby. Service was great, desserts were delicious and a great addition to the area.

So pretty and so yummy!! Was lucky to find parking right by the cafe. Would definitely return.

Came here with my family. Though their floor layout was a bit chaotic and like a maze to get in and out of your table, their food selections are amazing! Servers are very attentive and friendly. Parking is a bit of a hassle too. More parking at the back of the establishment... be careful not to use the McDonald's area (located just beside their area) as it's a tow away zone!!!

I was invited here for a business meeting and it didn't disappoint. This restaurant styled cafe bakery pleases my aesthetic mind so much as it incorporates a natural feel with all the greenery, wooden table sets and stone walls. They have a huge arrangement of croissants, cookies and baked goods to select from while you're waiting in line prior to ordering. The service was excellent, the cashier gave great suggestions when it came to what to order and others were helpful when needing anything. Overall, the food was great and the environment - so comfortable and enjoyable. I'd recommend!

This location has a large seating area. Ambiance is modern and airy. Coffee was great. Unfortunately, their baked goods selection was lacking at 8 pm. Service was efficient. I only wish they opened a bit later in the evening until 10 pm so I can catch up with friends a bit longer. They currently close at 9 pm daily.

Nice place for a casual meeting. The ambiance is fresh and inviting. Got some cookies and a mango bingsoo - all were good. The shaved ice with sweet mango really complimented each other. Service was good - you order then they bring it to you. Overall, worth a visit

Matcha latte with oat milk and condensed milk

Great service but very crowded and noisy. Hard to hear your companion. Enjoyed the yummy matcha latte with oat milk and condensed milk. Nice service when staff deliver it to your trackable table. Found street parking but I don't know how people are supposed to come here otherwise with only 12ish parking spots unless they walk in. Also a bit chilly with the door opening and closing letting the cold air in.

This place has a great ambience and above average food and great pastries. They are a bit pricy but every restaurant I have been recently raised their price so I can't even say they are pricy.

Another location of La Forêt. Perfect for a quieter afternoon in the cafe. Not as loud as the metro location so works for studying / working (no outlets!) but still as delicious with the cream filled croissants

The service here is excellent, the raspberry mojito summer drink was tasty. The inside of the restaurant is beautiful. A little bit slim on parking outside with only 4 stalls out front, 6 stalls off of Ridgeway and strict signs about not parking in the closed down McDonalds lot. There is street parking behind the establishment. I highly recommend taking Ridgeway Ave to get to La Foret. The kitchen is just average especially for the price. Both dishes were quite average. The mango croissant was incredible though!

The selection of desserts was quite good and everything looked delicious. We selected two different items to share: a chocolate cake and the other was earl grey. I loved how they were not overly sweet. The earl grey one had grapefruit inside, which unfortunately my friend cannot eat so he was a little disappointed that I got to have more of this one. Lucky for me, I don't have that problem! The piece of grapefruit on top should have been a clue, but he didn't notice it when we were ordering. haha I did find the combination a bit unusual but I enjoyed it nonetheless as I love both grapefruit and earl grey tea! Service appears to be restricted to counter service, so you order at the counter and take your food and drinks to a table. It was really busy in the cafe but we managed to snag the last open table. Because it was so crowded, it was a little difficult to carry on a normal conversation. Not deafening, just quite lively. The coffee was good - but word of advice, make sure you let them know if you want to add milk or cream as they do fill your cup to the brim! I would probably return to try some of their other desserts because I find most places a bit too sweet for me. Definitely recommend this spot.

First time I spotted this place was while I stayed at the hotel in the same complex area. It isn't something easy to see from the road, but there's lots of great Asian restaurant options hidden amongst that complex that seem to be always very popular. The night I actually made it in before closing, I had to use great restraint when selecting the dessert being that I was dining alone. Even the ladies that walked in around the same time I did, had an incredibly hard time choosing their desserts. This is due to fact that the portions are definitely made to be shareable for a lot of their menu items and really, unless you're extremely picky on flavours, they all sound like amazing combos. I therefore opted to reduce my selection (and dessert size!) by going with a cake slice from the display (wish I could recall what it was as it seriously hit the spot) & a lovely hot beverage. The place fills up quickly but does not have that usual crazed rush one feels in other coffee shops & bakeries that are only open earlier in the days. They have various sizes of tables & it definitely felt like this was a social hub for the under 30s (again, dessert was so amazing, that I didn't even care that I felt oldest in the cafe ;) I also found it interesting with how young the crowd was in there, that people were legit visiting more than on their iPhones or laptops (maybe the lack of outlets fostered this?). They have one unique 4 seater table (tractor like) & stools that I kicked myself later for not realizing it was something to use (being a farm kid in a big city, you can imagine quickly what unexpected happiness level it was to see those tractor seat stools too). The parking is plentiful just past the cafe & there's also a parkade. The place is accessible & I even think most would be able to use the washroom with minimal challenges. There seems to be a back door towards the sidewalk but looked closed by the time I was there that late at night. I will definitely be back to enjoy solo dessert time or a good visit with friends (as I definitely would like to try some of the shareable menu items!).

We were greeted right away by a staff member and seated when a table was available such wasn't long as there was an empty around the corner. We were given menus and menu sheets to order. He didn't give us a pencil or pen but I had one. We decided to get 2 orders of xlb, wontons in chili oil, boiled pork/chives dumplings and hk style curry fish balls. If you don't order drinks there is complimentary water machine for hot/ cold water and a self serve sauce bar. Bowls are also located there. At the table are disposable chopsticks and spoons as well as napkins. After filling out the paper wifey brought it up front to the staff to fill. As we waited for the food i created my sauce. The food arrived and looked good as any dumplings should. The wonton on chili oil was tasty and I liked them. The wrap seemed a bit loose so maybe over cooked by a little bit but not a big deal breaker. The chives dumplings were yummy. Not huge but a decent reasonable size. Tasty as well and the wrapper wasn't overly thick and had a good chew. The curry fish balls were ok. Not bad but not great. The xlb were very nice. Wrapper not to thick, not thin either but acceptable thickness. Plenty of soup inside and decently tasty. The meat filling itself is also tasty. Very good meal and would go back in the area for decent xlb.
