The original La Foret in Burnaby is just a few minutes away from us and we're more than happy to support a local business that's thriving and expanding to other cities. Similar to the Burnaby location, this has a mix of high ceilings, wood and metal, and lots of plants and greenery. Coffee and pastries were lovely (as expected) and we were able to find a table quickly. Parking isn't as limited as the one in Burnaby so that's a plus.

I visited La foret for gathering with friend. The ambience was so nice and cozy, I really like their cafe design and decor. They offer different type of bread, cakes and drinks. What I got - Tiramisu roll cake and Matcha with cream form. Matcha with cream form was so good! I will try this item again! Matcha flavor was strong and sweetness was just right, cream form on the top was so delicious! Tiramisu roll cake had a lot of cream filling. Sponge cake was good. It was a very decent item. And size was bigger than I expected. Overall, I always like to visit this cafe. It was a great gathering spot or good for take out.

La Forêt is a beautifully designed café that nailed both atmosphere and food quality. Upon entering, you'll be welcomed with an 'oasis in the city' vibes. The space is open, calming, and surrounded by greens/natural elements -- ideal for a relaxed brunch or catching up on work. We ordered the spanish latte, caramel macchiato, spaghettini amatriciana, and waffle & chicken -- all were surprisingly excellent. We heard they were popular for their pastries and dessert, but the entrées were actually good too! From the crispy fried chicken with the fluffy waffle (black because of the squid-ink?), to their perfectly cooked spaghettini -- we initially thought the pricing was on the higher end, but with the quantity and QUALITY, it was definitely worth it! We thought each dish is enough for two people to share. Staff were efficient and attentive. Service was reasonable. Easily one of my now go-to spots in Coquitlam. Can't wait to come back soon!

The VIBES! If you've been to their other location by Metrotown, then you know what I'm talking about. The interior feels cozy and you know you want to just relax and take your time. Parking. Very little parking up front, but they have a few spots in the back and a lot more on the street in the back as well. Do not park in the area where there are signs that say 'DO NOT PARK'. Respect other buisness, friends. When you walk in you're greeted with delicious baked goods in cases and pre-wrapped in individual bags. Grab a tray and pick what you like. If you want a meal from the kitchen, check out the menu and order accordingly. At the Austin location they have brunch items like eggs benedict and chicken and waffles, pastas, soup and salads. Once they give you a buzzer, take a seat and wait. If you have a larger party then you can drag tables and chairs together. We ordered: Spanish Latte (iced) $6.30 Mocha (iced) 6.30 Chicken and Waffles $21.99 We also got a bunch of buns to eat later ranging around $5 each. The coffee is delightful, honestly can't go wrong. But if you need more sugar or honey they have a station set up on the side for utensils, ketchup, hot sauce, and sweeteners. Fried Chicken was great, and with the syrup it worked. The black waffle was dense and flavourless. Would not order again. Do go and enjoy the vibes. Grab a coffee or tea and just relax, or bring your work with you and use the free wifi.

Finally got around to visiting the Austin location of La Foret. Parking was very difficult because they have two tiny parking lots (one in front and one in back) and it's definitely not big enough for the amount of people inside. I even visited on a weekday and it was all full. The inside was also very crowded and full. It's also unfortunate because sound carries super well and it gets very loud inside since it's just one big giant open space. It was a bit disappointing for a cafe experience. Everything else was on par with my visits previously to the other locations. The space was nicely decorated with lots of plants. The food and coffee were both good and the service was fast. Not sure I'll visit again just due to preference for other cafes in the area.

Tried this location after we had gone for a stroll at Mundy Park. There are a few parking spots in front. Inside is big with plenty of tables, although not as big as their original location on Jubilee Ave in Burnaby. Service was great, desserts were delicious and a great addition to the area.

So pretty and so yummy!! Was lucky to find parking right by the cafe. Would definitely return.

Came here with my family. Though their floor layout was a bit chaotic and like a maze to get in and out of your table, their food selections are amazing! Servers are very attentive and friendly. Parking is a bit of a hassle too. More parking at the back of the establishment... be careful not to use the McDonald's area (located just beside their area) as it's a tow away zone!!!

I was invited here for a business meeting and it didn't disappoint. This restaurant styled cafe bakery pleases my aesthetic mind so much as it incorporates a natural feel with all the greenery, wooden table sets and stone walls. They have a huge arrangement of croissants, cookies and baked goods to select from while you're waiting in line prior to ordering. The service was excellent, the cashier gave great suggestions when it came to what to order and others were helpful when needing anything. Overall, the food was great and the environment - so comfortable and enjoyable. I'd recommend!

This location has a large seating area. Ambiance is modern and airy. Coffee was great. Unfortunately, their baked goods selection was lacking at 8 pm. Service was efficient. I only wish they opened a bit later in the evening until 10 pm so I can catch up with friends a bit longer. They currently close at 9 pm daily.

Nice place for a casual meeting. The ambiance is fresh and inviting. Got some cookies and a mango bingsoo - all were good. The shaved ice with sweet mango really complimented each other. Service was good - you order then they bring it to you. Overall, worth a visit

Matcha latte with oat milk and condensed milk

Great service but very crowded and noisy. Hard to hear your companion. Enjoyed the yummy matcha latte with oat milk and condensed milk. Nice service when staff deliver it to your trackable table. Found street parking but I don't know how people are supposed to come here otherwise with only 12ish parking spots unless they walk in. Also a bit chilly with the door opening and closing letting the cold air in.

This place has a great ambience and above average food and great pastries. They are a bit pricy but every restaurant I have been recently raised their price so I can't even say they are pricy.

It's kind of a trendy cafe, I've seen photos of the other locations but those ones look a lot fancier. I came here because I saw on insta they said this location was the location that had the Ube Matcha Latte but when I went they didn't even have it, which was disappointing since it was being advertised on Instagram. It was also kind of difficult to order and ask questions with the initial barista I was speaking with because of the language barrier so she didn't seem to understand what I was asking but fortunately another girl stepped in to help her out. Since I couldn't get the Ube Matcha drink I got the Hojicha Matcha Iced Latte which was okay conpared to other Matcha drinks I have tried, it seemed like there was a lot more ice than matcha and the large cup isn't very large plus the paper straws were just a no for me. They could have just used other compostable straws rather than paper ones so I give the paper straws a thumbs down. The service was very friendly though despite the language barrier. I didn't see much gluten free options here. I think at a time they carried gluten free donuts from another company but I didn't see them there this time. I'd give this place another shot though once they do have the Ube Matcha Latte drink available.

The selection of desserts was quite good and everything looked delicious. We selected two different items to share: a chocolate cake and the other was earl grey. I loved how they were not overly sweet. The earl grey one had grapefruit inside, which unfortunately my friend cannot eat so he was a little disappointed that I got to have more of this one. Lucky for me, I don't have that problem! The piece of grapefruit on top should have been a clue, but he didn't notice it when we were ordering. haha I did find the combination a bit unusual but I enjoyed it nonetheless as I love both grapefruit and earl grey tea! Service appears to be restricted to counter service, so you order at the counter and take your food and drinks to a table. It was really busy in the cafe but we managed to snag the last open table. Because it was so crowded, it was a little difficult to carry on a normal conversation. Not deafening, just quite lively. The coffee was good - but word of advice, make sure you let them know if you want to add milk or cream as they do fill your cup to the brim! I would probably return to try some of their other desserts because I find most places a bit too sweet for me. Definitely recommend this spot.

If you don't order drinks there is complimentary water machine for hot/ cold water and a self serve sauce bar. Bowls are also located there. At the table are disposable chopsticks and spoons as well as napkins. After filling out the paper wifey brought it up front to the staff to fill. As we waited for the food i created my sauce. The food arrived and looked good as any dumplings should. The wonton on chili oil was tasty and I liked them. The wrap seemed a bit loose so maybe over cooked by a little bit but not a big deal breaker. The chives dumplings were yummy. Not huge but a decent reasonable size. Tasty as well and the wrapper wasn't overly thick and had a good chew. The curry fish balls were ok. Not bad but not great. The xlb were very nice. Wrapper not to thick, not thin either but acceptable thickness. Plenty of soup inside and decently tasty. The meat filling itself is also tasty. Very good meal and would go back in the area for decent xlb.
