This hidden gem cafe is located in Coquitlam, and I haven't been here since last year. It seems to be under new management?, as their menu has changed. It used to offer a wide variety of baked goods, but now they have several croissants, mini loaves, and cookies. I got a white chocolate scone and a carrot cake mini loaf. The carrot cake mini loaf was delicious, with plenty of nuts inside, and the icing complemented the loaf's flavor perfectly. I enjoyed the white chocolate scone's crispy outside texture. I might visit again to try the drink menu next time.

Good coffee, good pastry, and relatively comfortable seating. Also, seemed like there were plenty of outlets for those of us needing to do some work. Bathroom was clean and, as it was during a major snow event, they kept the sidewalk outside clear. Parking was difficult with the snow, but usually it would likely be no problem. Highly recommend!

I've visited this cafe several times and I like the decor and simplicity of the interior. Their menu is also pretty diverse with plenty of options available. Out of all my visits, I've always felt that service was average, and sometimes the staff seemed unfriendly. Their pastries are S mediocre taste wise, but I buy them once in a while because they have a good selection and prices are reasonable. I recently pre-ordered some pastries a few days ago for pick up and was surprised when I arrived and was told my pick up hasn't been prepared. It turned out one of the items I ordered is not available. I'm not sure why I wasn't notified and also question the purpose of preordering when some items might not be available. I was offered to choose something else instead, which I declined because there wasn't anything else I wanted, and was given a cash refund. Despite using my credit card to pay, my cash refund was short due to the tax not being fully refunded. I didn't bring this up since it was a small amount, but I also haven't come across a business that has done this before. I also came across a review commenting that their Belgium waffles resembled those sold in supermarkets. I did some quick research (out of curiosity) and noticed a few of the items I bought looked quite similar to frozen pastries being sold at some retailers. I don't know whether all the baked goods are homemade nor am I implying anything, but I think I'll skip this little cafe going forward.

Great little cafe right on Austin Ave. Im always looking for cafes in Coquitlam, its where I work. Great coffee and pastry! I ordered a latte and a butter croissant both were great. The croissants was also only $2.95, rare price for a cafe. The barista was nice even brought my coffee to my table. I came 11am on a Monday to my surprise it was busy. Usually when I go to any cafes on Monday morning its dead, but this just shows that more cafes are needed in the area. Cute, clean decor and offers french inspired pastries and sweets like macarons. Plenty of seating and large tables for those who are wanting to work, I saw several people with laptops. Overall great place I will be back!

I have found a gem and I am proud of myself. This is a small place near Austin / Blue Mountain area, and we were greeted by a single employee. Maybe he was the boss. He took so much care in making our drinks that, if he was in fact only an employee, it made me want to hire him if I ran a cafe myself. I ordered a London Fog Latte and fell in love with its' subtle and natural sweetness and perfect foam that stayed until I finished my drink. The chocolate cake was served with whipping creme on the side and was extremely satisfying. I was there 15 minutes before closing(unknowingly) and told staff that we were going to dine in. He politely informed us of their store hour but said we were welcome to stay 30 minutes after closing, until it was his time to clean the dine in area. He was extremely courteous and we felt very welcomed. Thank you!

This is a cozy cafe in the area. We stopped by for brunch and coffee. I ordered a chai latte with tomato bisque for a small lunch. The eggs benny looked good. I would prefer if there was a tad more potato to make it more of a complete meal. The benny is only offered on Saturday's unfortunately. The tomato bisque tasted out of a box. It was alright. Bread and melted cheese was good. The chai latte was well made with a decent amount of spice. Self service to picking up your food order, cutlery and napkins. It is a fairly quiet place to sit, work and enjoy a cup of coffee. There is limited parking at the back of the cafe.

Love this cafe! It's only been open for a few months, but I hope this place grows a lot because they have excellent service, great coffee, and I love the decor/vibe of this place. I suspect the guy who helped me is the owner of the cafe, and he was absolutely delightful. Same goes for the lady that was the barista-- five-star service. I originally ordered a drip coffee, but the two were very kind in explaining that unfortunately they don't serve drip after 1 pm. I'm guessing it's because they want to keep it fresh and it wasn't too busy when I came in around 4 pm. No matter, because the Americano was nice and strong. I didn't get a chance to try out any of their foods, but once I'm off this diet, I will definitely be trying some of those beautiful macarons. My only gripe with this place is something they can't really fix, and that's the parking. They have few parking spaces that's shared with other businesses on the strip mall. There is some residential parking a block or two back, but for a lazy person like me who wants to avoid the cold, I wish there were more spots closer to the entrance.

$3 cappuccino

Surprisingly very cute on the inside. Definitely not expecting this from the older looking exterior. I ordered a cappuccino, on sale for $3 and a multigrain croissant. My cappuccino wasn't as hot as I'd like it to be, but there is a sign saying steamed milk temperature is 145C and to order things "extra hot." My croissant was soft, but not warm or flaky although I did ask for it toasted. I'd probably try this place out again if I were in the area, but wouldn't go out of my way to come here.

One of our go to spots for coffee. The atmosphere is modern, but cozy. Also, their espresso is amazing. Everything is spot on. 5/5.

We selected two different items to share: a chocolate cake and the other was earl grey. I loved how they were not overly sweet. The earl grey one had grapefruit inside, which unfortunately my friend cannot eat so he was a little disappointed that I got to have more of this one. Lucky for me, I don't have that problem! The piece of grapefruit on top should have been a clue, but he didn't notice it when we were ordering. haha I did find the combination a bit unusual but I enjoyed it nonetheless as I love both grapefruit and earl grey tea! Service appears to be restricted to counter service, so you order at the counter and take your food and drinks to a table. It was really busy in the cafe but we managed to snag the last open table. Because it was so crowded, it was a little difficult to carry on a normal conversation. Not deafening, just quite lively. The coffee was good - but word of advice, make sure you let them know if you want to add milk or cream as they do fill your cup to the brim! I would probably return to try some of their other desserts because I find most places a bit too sweet for me. Definitely recommend this spot.

Truly, you know the food, coffee & tea is good when there's times that the line up nearly goes to the door & no seats are available inside or out. Certain times of the year they have special drinks featured but the staff is so wonderful that if there's something you liked from a past season, if they still have the ingredients, they'll make it. Lately, Ginger Rogers is my treat to boost my day. Honestly, I've tried so many food options & haven't had a meh reaction to any. There's wraps & paninis plus desserts & cookies & take home items ranging from pancake & cookie mixes, jams & syrups to frozen meals. I think it's decently priced for being in this part of the world & like I mentioned, it's always a decent meal or snack. For accessibility, all the tables are moveable. So you could adjust away from the benches & chairs to allow a walker or wheel chair. But as this cafe is smaller, for those with baby strollers, I would recommend leaving them outdoors & bringing in the essentials with your baby/kids. The door isn't automatic but the handles & space around would allow for most to access the doors (providing that the local puppers aren't tied right next to the door & baby strollers are parked far enough back). Parking has one handicap but I would actually recommend parking closer to the vet clinic side, as that would be easier for drop off & pick up for those with mobility aids. There's also a generous patio area for people to sit with umbrellas. So it is very common to see many people sitting with their dogs outside enjoying the weather & a coffee. Bathrooms (there's 2) are accessed by keys provided by staff. It's been a long time since I needed to use them but they were in decent condition considering the range of people that could use them in the day. Might be a bit tricky to maneuver a wheelchair that way but walker & cane users could navigate past the extra door, random pop-up displays & extra table in the business lobby side. This cafe also allows laptop usage throughout the week but laptop free on weekends. After what I seen today (& it has increased in amount of people from other days I've seen), I'm very glad that's the case. Some people legit bring their whole office, including their screen raisers, extra tech options to headphones and such... I personally think if you need to take up a 4 seat space for your "online needs" & you give off the energy that it's serious work, perhaps the library down the road (which allows room bookings so you could do webinars or group work) or look to rent a temp office space might be better for work. But that's just my two cents as a disabled person who notices this happening more often in a lot more cafes lately. I hope these extra tech office travellers at least buy more than a coffee as all the food is really great here & this cafe deserves to be well supported by all. Definitely give it a try if you're in the PoMo area. Especially if you're already planning on walking into the inlet area to Rocket Point park & pier.

When I asked if it was actually a cold brew, I was met with attitude and defensiveness. I was a barista for years, so from my perspective, that level of service was unacceptable. If it were me behind the bar, I would have said something like, "You know what, that doesn't look right. Can I add a shot of espresso or get you something else instead?" A little honesty and willingness to make it right go a long way. Fail.
