Iced latte
LuFei L.

Stopped by on a cloudy Saturday afternoon and the place was nearly empty. Even with many tables removed, there was still plenty of space to sit inside and outside. We were originally on our way to Moja, but Turks caught our eye with its aesthetics and charming vibe. I ordered an iced latte and it was honestly the best iced latte I've ever had! There was something about it that made it taste almost like chocolate. The coffee was super smooth and it was an excellent blend. I'm not sure if I just got really lucky or if their coffee is just that good, but I definitely want to go again to find out!

Great coffee shop on Commercial with delicious and well-made mochas. Hubby and I have been frequenting The Drive and exploring different restaurants and cafes but this is our favorite place to get mochas. Personally, I love their hedgehog mocha (hazelnut) with mylk while the hubby always gets their regular mocha. Sooo good! Now I wanna go back to grab a cup. Place itself is cozy and warm. Tables are available inside and a small outdoor patio but can be quite full at times.

Cute little coffee shop on Commercial Drive with friendly staff behind the counter. I ordered a cold brew and my colleague ordered a matcha latte and both were delicious. A great place to catch up with friends!

Cute little coffee shop on The Drive with yummy coffee and a patio perfect for people-watching. My friend and I stopped in here after brunch to grab some lattes to go. For me a vanilla almond milk latte and for my pal a regular vanilla latte. I loved my little caffeine fix. I'm not sure if it was the coffee itself, the vanilla, or the almond milk, but whatever those baristas did, I really, really enjoyed my latte. Seems like a great place to hang out and catch up with a friend or post up and get some work done. It's quite small in here, so I can imagine that it would get full quickly, especially on a warm, sunny day. Overall, yummy coffee, friendly baristas, and cute decor from other local businesses. While there are plenty of coffee shops on The Drive, this one will definitely be one of my top ones to visit and recommend.

Killer mocha and iced latte

The coffee here is amazing. I got the iced latte which tasted delicious and smooth. My husband got the killer mocha and it was creamy and smooth and chocolatey with no bitterness. Our barista was sweet and efficient. The shop itself was cozy and warm. We will definitely be back again.

Great coffee place on the drive. Lots of cafes on this street, this one is on top of my list. I went to Italy earlier this year and have been in search for good espresso since. This place does a decent job. I love the local vibe and the decor. Has a patio seating in the front, great for people watching. The barista's are friendly and offers great suggestion. Overall, great coffee and vibe. I will be back!

One of the nicer hipster feel-good coffee joints on the Drive. Parking is available on the side streets, unless one wants to throw money away on the meters on Commercial. The place is quite classy. Special mention for the decor. The inside was filled with learned-looking people too. I could feel my IQ and sophistimacation going up as I breathed in the air. The pastries and coffees here are quite good. I had the hedgehog mocha, which is covered in cream and chocolate flakes. So fragrant. I can still smell it now. The banana bread I had was a bit more dense than the competition, but the taste was excellent. Not sure if they make it in house, but it's definitely worth a try. The lemon bread was not too sweet (probably half as sweet as the equivalent from Starbucks), which is a huge plus - most places pile on way too much sugar. This was a refreshing change. I was pleasantly surprised. This place is definitely on my radar the next time I want a coffee in the area. Recommended.

Turks is cool. Laid back and mellow, it's full of diehard regulars who bring their dogs and chat on the outdoor patio. The coffee is good, and the cinnamon buns are perhaps some of the best in the city. The clientele are mostly under-dressed 20-40 year olds who probably biked there, not quite scenesters but more like slackers. Good for reading a book, or students looking to cram or write an essay without falling asleep or watching television. The prices are reasonable, and the ambiance is relaxed. It's had many years to perfect the persona, and worth a visit if you hate the corporate competition.

Cute place! Good coffee, amazing cinnamon buns. The staff is really friendly and the best part for me was their use of pasta as a replacement for stir sticks. Amazing effort to reduce plastic waste.

Great little spot: chai that is local and delicious and free from citric acid which many have in... have it and be delighted.

The interior is well laid out with stool window seats, small tables along the walls, and a gorgeous wooden table at the end. The walls are professionally decorated with framed shots by local photographers. On to the star of the show...the coffee. I started with shot of potent espresso topped with oat milk. What a heavenly combo that was! I took the time to slowly savour each sip. They're not just about coffee, despite the name. The Jasmine loose leaf tea is very fragrant and provides a very nice alternative to those who prefer tea. Feeling a bit hungry, I added an almond croissant produced by a local bakery nearby. I love how this indie is supporting his own local businesses. Better yet, the croissant was sooooo nice right to the last bite....and of course, I scraped up all the crumbs and enjoyed that just as much. Lastly, the owner who took over the shop this summer is a gentleman. He knows his coffee!! I hope everyone in the area will keep supporting the Indies.

The next time, it was disappointing at a similar price point for an unenjoyable small cup, and when I shared i didn't like it that much and asked if I could try anything else without paying almost anothe $10, if I was willing to buy a bag of one I like, and the answer was no. They hardly had any customers there either so that's not an excuse. I appeared it was being too cheap and bad judgement, and it cost them further business from me since. Penny wise and pound foolish. Akso the shared bathroom in the building here is gross. The rest of the review is similar to another expensive coffee shop in the city that shares a poor business practice with this place. Totally unacceptable and irresponsible to me when a business has no listed phone number to contact them for any important reasons during business hours. Ther are not following traditional good service tradition in this country and continent, and being available during business hours is important. What if there was an emergency or if it could save a customer an unnecessary trip, or what if it brought more business there instead of going elsewhere? Not everyone wants to communicate asynchronous by Instagram messages only. How about some human connection and service if you open uo a public facing business? Big problem for me.i found another place with more reasonable priced great coffee and they have a phone too, so my business goes there.

I ended up deciding to get a pourover from Japan and it definitely did not disappoint. Very friendly staff, great coffee, would highly recommend if you are a coffee/pourover fan.
