My first time having Coffee Bun was when they were still in North Vancouver. The Coffee Bun closed their North Vancouver location. I was excited to find out that they have another location located in Coquitlam now. I got the green tea coffee bun and B got the raspberry coffee bun. It was super delicious. They only make so many flavors in a day. You have to come early if you want to try a specific flavor. They have a total of 25 flavors. I like this location a lot more than when they were in North Vancouver. The Coffee Bun is located in Henderson Market which means free parking. I highly recommend trying their buns.

The buns are great! So many flavors but you have to come in early if you want more options. They run out of some flavors during the later hours. It's a good spot to get work done as well. Free wifi and lots of seating. Not too noisy either. Can't wait to be back for the buns and to be productive! Tiramisu is delicious for the buns. If you are simple the milk bun is great too. Lots of options so try as many as you can :)

Great place to hang out for desserts and chat. The matcha drink is good, the coffee buns are tasty, the decor is very nice and the interior is clean. Two place that was a huge letdown is that the flavors are quickly sold out and I was disappointed as to which coffee buns I was able to get. I would come back again in hopes of next time there would be more flavor for me to try out.

I used to love coffee buns many years ago when I first tried them in Singapore. I was delighted to find them here. I always thought it was something created by a Malaysian company Rotiboy, so I got confused when I read the sign which said it originated in Korea. I googled for more information about the origins but all directed back to Rotiboy as the creator of it. A simple bun with butter inside topped with coffee crust. If you have ever tried Rotiboy, you would have smelled it first. The aroma was enticing - the rich buttery baked goods. You do not get that here. No scent or fragrance of the bun at all. What you get here is a huge variety of flavors. I am boring so i usually stick to the original even though it paled when compared to Rotiboy or even to Papparoti. The Americano I had was so-so. I liked that they served a small version of the bingsu, unfortunately the ice was chunky. It was not the snowy texture of proper bingsu places. The only thing going for this place is the lack of options in the neighborhood, but with Snowy Village and Papparoti just across the road now, they will need to step up their game. Communication was also a bit tough as the cashier seemed to only understand Korean. It took a while for her to understand my order.

We came to The Coffee Bun for what else, coffee and buns! We got a latte, and saw that they used beans from Kicking Horse Coffee, which I do have to say was nothing special. However their buns on the other hand were delicious!!! We got Custard, Earl Gray, Cinnamon, and Garlic. We got there later on in the day and their Matcha and Milk flavours were already sold out. Will have to be back earlier on in the day to try more of their buns!!

Friendly staff, fast, clean place, and cute decor. Their coffee are alright but tea is good. Nothing too special but their buns are tasty, especially the ones with ice cream. Not a dessert place or cafe I'd frequent but from time to time I would come back.

Cute cafe in heart of Coquitlam. I booked marked this place because of its good reviews. Coquitlam lacks good local cafes / coffee hangouts. When I walked in pretty impressed. Cute modern cafe. Was fairly busy for a late rainy afternoon. I ordered a special Americano & coffee bun for 4.77 plus tax $5. Coffee bun was very good buttery, crispy edges, soft middle one of the better coffee buns I've had. The downfall was the coffee, it was so watery wasn't even hot. Really disappointing. Overall cute place, I would give it another go maybe with a latte next time.

One of the few cafes in Coquitlam, coffee bun offers a variety of drinks as well as dessert. We went in at around 4pm and there was no waiting line but one table left. I ordered the original coffee bun and my friend went for the peach iced tea. The coffee bun tasted amazing! The crunchy outer layer was crisp, while the inside was buttery and soft. I would've liked it even more if it was warm though. I definitely do not recommend the peach iced tea. It seemed like it was 90% sugar/ syrup since it was WAY too sweet. My friend even asked for 2 cups of water to dilute it, but it was STILL sweet. The cafe was well decorated and very aesthetic for Instagram! As long as you don't order their fruit iced teas, you'll be fine

We came here for snacks ordering two red bean coffee buns and a cup of green tea latte and a cup of multigrain lattes in the afternoon. Great drinks and food!! We couldn't find any coffee buns other than this shop in Coquitlam and the one in North Vancouver. Great interior design inside, great for students to study or work in this cafe and great for friends to get together, drink and eat and relax. The only downside of this cafe is the ventilation. When we were there, there was stuffy air inside. They should open one of the doors and let some fresh air get into the cafe.

"The Coffee Bun" is a little cozy place right in Henderson Mall in Coquitlam. The inside is not very spacious, lots of seats but crammed closely together. Limited outlets for all those students out there. But fast wifi! They sell coffee, few baked goods and their speciality coffee buns. I tried their original coffee bun, which was great! Light coffee flavour, soft inside, slightly crispy outside and tastes sooooo delicious with a cup of coffee. I also tried their cream cheese coffee bun, and I wasn't a fan. I felt like the cream cheese flavour really clashed with the nice coffee flavours in the bun. I love the combination of sweet and salty but this was a thumbs down for me. I usually get a plain black coffee or a plain americano but I tried their caramel macchiato and it was an thumbs down as well. I barely ever ask the barista to remake my drink but after taking 1 sip, I knew I couldn't go on. It was so sickly sweet and the taste of artificial sweetener took over the whole coffee. Even after I got it remade, I wasn't a fan. It just didn't taste good. Overall, I give it a 3 star because their original coffee bun and most drinks are pretty solid!

Cute and yummy place for coffee and a unique fluffy pastry bun. I really loved the aloe sweet tea, and the cream cheese bun! Love it so much, I want to, and really contemplating about opening a franchise in Seattle myself ;P

Having tried the coffee bun at PappaRoti recently, I decided to stop by here for a coffee bun as a comparison. This shop has more variety and options available. However, only cinnamon was available when I stopped by. The bun was warmed. The exterior was not as crispy while the interior was buttery and soft. It reminded me of a Chinese pineapple bun. Unfortunately, it was not as good compared to its competitor.

Really nice workers. Affordable and decision buns. I had the original, my husband had the custard one. Both very good. My son had the chocolate (there was a bit too much chocolate for me but my son had no complaints). Free wifi. Def will return.

So you can still get your bubble tea for $3.50! but again.. don't forget to order yourself a batch or two of the golden bubbles! You won't look at those egg waffles the same anymore! If you're hungry for more food.. The food court also has a small selection of delicious delicacies. I always pop over to get some siau long pao (taiwanese soup dumplings, exact translation would be dragon dumpling! who wouldn't want to eat those!), or some korean noodles, or korean kampungki! The watermelon slush isn't the same without those pearls, so I pay a bit extra for them, but it's worth it. The pearls were cooked well, enough that they are chewy, but not too much that they are mushy. Some golden bubbles on the side complete the experience. They are plain bubbles, but delightful to have nevertheless. It's located conveniently in the food court area of Henderson mall. There are other types of bubble tea available, such as wheat and sesame. Cash only. But they have a stamp card that you can use.
