This café is a true hidden gem! The ambiance is absolutely stunning--elegant, cozy, and beautifully decorated with vintage charm. From the chandeliers to the classical fountain and antique piano, every corner is thoughtfully designed, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Food is impressive and price is reasonable. We went there after 1:30pm and it was quiet for a Friday afternoon but weekend could be busy! Highly recommended

Came here with B for Brunch. They have a good selection on the menu. I went with the duck platter and B went with the meet platter that came with two home made sausages. The sausages are made in house. One was apple cinnamon and the other could be jalapeño but we are not sure what flavour it is. All we know it tasted delicious. I like the smoke duck. I wish it came with a sauce on it. B also had a vanilla latte. It came with a very cute design. The place is small with very few seatings especially on a weekend. Service was good.

Tucked away in a small plaza along Kingsway in Burnaby - parking lot is available - additional street parking scattered about - and also very transit friendly. Cute decor - with polaroid picture walls - and since it's Christmas season - there was a Christmas tree - Service was very quick and efficient - servers were super friendly - and would check up on you to see how thing were - not overdoing it, but just often enough. Matcha latte was so delicious - love it when you can actually taste the matcha - instead of just being green sugar milk! - would love to know what matcha they use - cute art on the top - Smoked duck platter made for a great picture - I noticed many dishes were plated to perfection - Fruits were fresh, waffles were crisp with a nice fluff inside - I wish the eggs were bigger lol - but I guess I just eat a lot. The duck itself was good - however, it wasn't anything super stand out - average at best. - Will for sure visit again, to try some of there other dishes.

1003 Brunch & Dessert is tucked away in a small complex with small businesses close to Kingsway in Burnaby. We found out about this place from friends and we were pleasantly surprised when we visited. Lovely vibes and interiors, cozy and inviting. Plating is gorgeous and food was good. I didn't care much for the waffle as I found it too dry but other than that, I wiped off my plate.

The food at 1003 was decent, but be sure to get there early as it gets busy around 10:30 AM if you want to avoid waiting for a seat. It's a small, cute brunch place with a cozy atmosphere. I'm looking forward to trying their high tea on my next visit! I feel that the potatoes are from those packaged ones and could have put more effort. The girl in glasses was genuinely helpful and nice however the other waitress with light brown/orange hair color wasn't as pleasant. Therefore, I give this place 3 stars.

A delightful place for afternoon tea. My friends and I enjoyed the decor/atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful. With a reasonable price point ($75 for 2 people), we look forward to coming back again. We had 9 items and one drink of choice. My only suggestion for the owner is to offer a pot of tea as the one glass did not satisfy our tea craving and needs with the sweets. We liked that the desserts were not overly sweet. Reservations suggested. Pay parking in the mall complex but free side street parking around if you look.

The past two times I have been to 1003 Brunch I have been quite impressed with the service and the experience they provide. The restaurant itself is very quaint, but decorated beautifully and the servers are extremely attentive. Both times, I have been greeted warmly upon arrival and always with a bright smile. The second time I went I ordered the afternoon high tea. The price of $75.00 for two seemed incredible for the offering. It is a good price for the amount of food you get, and the fact you get a beverage of your choosing for each person. However, I noticed the food was not as high quality as some places that offer high tea. The sandwiches were a little drier than expected and so were the waffles. However, both of us that went were full, fed and happy so I really can't complain! The amount of food is a lot and we ended up leaving a fair bit behind, so be ready for that. Otherwise this is a great little gem in Burnaby worth a visit!

1003 Brunch & Dessert offers an adorable forest themed afternoon tea. The 3 tiered plate stands are made of wooden tree stumps instead of the traditional ceramic plates. The food was delicious. I very much appreciated that they were able to provide me with vegetarian substitutions for their meat items. We had a wonderful assortment of goodies on our 3 tiered tree stump! Mini basque cheesecakes, custard tarts, yogurt parfaits, scones, open faced sandwiches with avocado on top, waffle sandwiches with egg and mushroom, and croissant sandwiches with potato salad were just some of the wonderful foods we enjoyed. Each afternoon tea set is made for 2 people. It comes with a variety of savoury and sweet foods, and two drinks. The drinks don't necessarily have to be tea. You can have a glass of juice, pop, or coffee if you prefer. The cost for each set is $74.99, so that comes to about $37.50 per person. By today's standards it is definitely one of the more affordable places for afternoon tea and I really hope it will stay that way. ( I know of another place that used to be $35 per person and has recently gone up to $40 per person.) I would personally have preferred to be given a big pot of tea, instead of just one cup. It would have been more in line with my concept of afternoon tea. Other than this though, I was very happy with this afternoon tea. Very much enjoyed this afternoon tea and I'll have to check out their brunch sometime! Service: Good Parking: Free Location: 6540 Burlington Ave. #120B, Burnaby, BC

Such a great spot to check out with the girls! I enjoyed the forest-themed afternoon tea here, it's very affordable at $75 for 2 people. You get to choose any 2 drinks off the drink menu. We both got lattes and the latte art was very cute. Our server was friendly and described all the small plates that were on the 3 tiered tree stump. They only have a limited amount, so you need to make a reservation for high tea. In my reservation I mentioned we were celebrating my friend's birthday, and they surprised her with a birthday plate of fruit, whipped cream and a candle. I will definitely go back to try their brunch menu.

I've been here a couple of times and have been wanting to go back for their afternoon tea set. Both times I've gone for brunch and had the salmon benedict and it was absolutely delicious! The ambience is great and they take Polaroid photos of your group and post on the wall. I felt so special when my friends took me there for a belated bday brunch!

New brunch place in Metrotown. This place replaced what used to be Audrey Moment. I love how baby friend this restaurant is. It's is very spacious and quiet so it doesn't over stimulate the babies. We came here with another family of 2 plus a toddler. They have kids utensils available and the staff are quite friendly towards kids. We ordered the smoke duck platter and the avocado baguette but they were out of avocado so we switched to bacon egg benny instead. Their smoke duck platter is a must order as it comes with everything especially their special sausages. It is definitely worth a try. The egg benedict was a bit disappointing when I got it as the egg was fully cooked. They gave us 10% off for the egg benny.

Food was excellent fresh and done perfectly. The service was excellent and the ambiance was cute and clean. I would highly recommend this place and the prices were very reasonable for excellent fresh tasty food.

It was a comfortable experience overall. Attentive and friendly service. Parking could be a challenge as it was located in a strip mall with limited parking space. We parked on metered street.

It is also a fantastic spot to work if you wanna have a café setting because their pastries and bake goods are absolutely fantastic. In fact last year for Christmas, we bought one of their Christmas cake options which proved to be super popular with the family. What I love about this location is the decor. On one side it is a simple industrial warehouse. But it has that post modern feel with all of the live plants. The live plants is what I love and the tall ceiling for the plants to fully grow. Though if they are looking for something else, which could really bring this to the top, it would be to have a fish tank. A fish and or water feature around the massive plant island in the middle of the dinning area would be chefs kiss. Of course, what about the food? From here, I find the food here is excellent. Sometimes the flavour combinations are a little weird. But that's typical for the Vancouver foodie scene. Vancouver food scene is a fusion hybrid of local ingredients mixed with traditions from cultures from other places around the world. But the bottom line is the portions are a good size. The platters in particular are large and would feed a very hungry person. You definitely get your moneys worth. You don't get much table service once you are done with your order. But that is all right because of it size and volume for the amount of people who come through. I am totally happy with the self serve station, which could be enhanced and the large setting with all of the very mature plants. If I would offer advice to anyone it would be this. If you are going to be there on the weekend arrive before 9 AM. People start lining up at 10 to 15 minutes before the store officially opens. Plus I find is easier to take the street parking rather than playing with Faith trying to back out with customers who are not paying attention.

The fruit was actually a good portion and decent selection of blueberries, strawberries, banana and grapes. A couple of very small overripe pieces of kiwi were thrown in but I've seen worse for a kids meal. Food came out after a short wait. Missing from the plates was butter for the toast and waffles, so I'm not sure if they don't usually provide it or they forgot it. The over-easy eggs were more over-medium and the potatoes tasted a bit off to me, but I was full anyway, so I just left them. The restaurant was a bit cold so we ate with our coats on for most of the time. Would be nice if they raised the temperature by 1-2 degrees so it's more comfortable on colder days. Service was mostly ok but our server asked us when we were still halfway through our meals if we wanted anything else and when we said we were good, she did not come back until we flagged her down for the bill. Maybe she was new, but servers should still check on customers for refills of coffee, hot water for tea, etc. Coffee is $3.25 and I did not get a refill due to the disappearing server, so it was quite pricey for one small cup. The meals were ok but for the price, I'd sooner go elsewhere for a better overall experience.

Included is a Summer Corn salad, choice of entree, and daily dessert. I made a reservation for my Mom and I for Wednesday evening at 7pm and the restaurant was quite empty though golf course was buzzing. Pro tip: There is free parking in front of the restaurant but it's also for the golf course and is pretty busy even on a Wednesday after 7pm so plan accordingly as street parking is a bit far away. We ordered the mussels as an additional appetizer in white wine broth and also each ordered the $45 menu. We both selected the Oven Roasted Beef Striploin and for dessert there was a choice of cheesecake with caramel sauce, cinnamon cheesecake, and black forest cake. My Mom chose the black forest cake and I ordered the cinnamon cheesecake. The mussels appetizer dish was quite generous in quantity for $23 and mussels were a good size. Served with 2 slices of toast, the white wine sauce was more watery than other places but still decent. For the $45 course, the Summer Corn salad comes with artisan greens, feta, carrot, radish, tomato, red onion, orange vinaigrette. This was a refreshing light start to the meal and we both really enjoyed it. For the slow roasted beef striploin, it was served with asparagus and bell peppers, mash potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, and a red wine demi. The beef striploin was lean but not tough and was super trendy and juicy. Yorkshire pudding, which I'm usually not a fan of, was really warm and soft. Overall, a really solid dish that was generous in portion. Dessert was also solid for both the cinnamon cheesecake and black forest cake. We barely finished the dessert and both of us had leftovers of our entree to take home as we couldn't finish our food. Great value for a 3 course $45 meal for today's economy and the service was really friendly and warm.

The restaurant itself is moderately sized, but they were able to accommodate our party of 12. Restaurant was very dimly lit; most of the light was coming from the setting sun. The menu had as many choices as a typical White Spot. Prices were reasonable, but entrees could be upgraded which could cause prices to escalate if you weren't prudent. For example, I ordered the steak but got the lobster upgrade which raised the price by 30%. And, it was the lower-grade Caribbean lobster instead of the much juicier Atlantic lobster. It took a long time for the food to begin arriving. But, we did have a larger party that night. But, after a long wait, all our food arrived almost all at once. Presentation was good, and portion size was adequate. My steak was medium rare even though I had requested rare. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their meals, and a few were unable to finish their food. Service was only okay. If they weren't taking your order or delivering your food, you didn't see much of the staff. And, the restaurant wasn't exactly busy either. We did ask a server to take a group photo of our table, and they happily obliged. I'd skip the round of golf and go straight to the restaurant.
