Finally satisfied my curiosity about the Tiramisu at this place. Stopped by here on the way home recently and picked one up to bring home. Ate it with my family for dessert later that same evening. To be honest, I found it a bit underwhelming. I had really hoped for a much stronger coffee flavor, but I didn't really taste the coffee in this dessert. While I was there I saw that they also have Hojicha Tiramisu and Matcha Tiramisu. I was at first, very tempted to buy one of those to bring home as well, but decided to hold off on it as there's only so much my stomach and wallet can handle at a time. Now, after trying their regular Tiramisu I don't think I will bother going back for the Hojicha Tiramisu as I was a bit disappointed with the regular Tiramisu. Their drinks are good though. Visited Hanoi last year and delighted to know about this Hanoi cafe. The classic trip Vietnamese ice cafe is strong and intense. The strawberry matcha latte is refreshing. The strawberry puree is not too sweet and complement well with the matcha. Would love to try out the various Vietnamese sandwiches next time. Staff is friendly and responsive. I visited Hanoi Drip for Nomsmag Cherry blossom festival limited item. What I ordered: Pink Guava Matcha Latte Vibrant pink guava purée, smooth milk, and premium ceremonial matcha. Lightly sweet, fruity, and creamy. Pink Guava puree mixed with milk was so creamy and nicely sweet. Matcha flavor was decent, but if could be a bit stronger with less ice. We were excited to try their fall feature drinks and ordered the Pumpkin Pie Latte (with oat milk, free of charge which was nice!) and the Kettle Corn Latte. The cold foams on both were AMAZING. However, the flavors didn't quite blend well for me with the kettle corn cold foam paired with the Vietnamese coffee. I probably would've enjoyed the foam pairs with a latte made with Arabica beans. One thing I found a bit odd was that while they offer oat milk (for free), their Vietnamese coffee base is a premix made with condensed milk, which isn't lactose free. I noticed they dilute it slightly with milk or oat milk to adjust the texture. Overall, I love the creativity behind their drinks and the attention to detail. The menu variety of Viet drinks really gives this place potential (along with the banh mi), but I might've had an off day moment. The salted cream Viet coffee was ok, but arguably too thin/runny compared to other places. The lighter bac xiu version just tasted like pure artificial sweetener, to the point where it was completely undesirable. Service is typical so don't expect much, cold and straight business-like. I went to Hanoi coffee twice. The first time i bought their classic Vietnamese coffee which was absolutely delicious. The second time i went i got both their egg coffee and the white coffee. Both of them were a tad sweet than what I'd have preferred, although they were both rich in taste. Why i gave them a 3 star was because i got a stomach flu the night i drank the egg coffee. The foamy part of said drink is made from egg yolk whipped with sweet condensed milk. The staff had advised that it was safe to drink albeit it being made with egg yolk. When you walk in Hanoi Drip Coffee it's got a super chic and cool vibe as seen in the photo of the ordering counter. Love that they had a self serve ordering station as well, because soon after ordering myself, there was a giant crowd coming in to get their coffees and banh mis, and I get it! The photos of the sandwiches don't do them justice. Perfectly fresh bread, and lightly sauced meat with veggies. The lemongrass chicken was good and you could really taste the lemongrass balanced with the veggies and light mayo sauce. The beef one was really umami with seasoned flattened beef and a little bit of hoisin. The beverages is definitely where I felt this place out shines pretty much every other cold coffee I've ever had though. For the salted cream it was not too sweet, but really could taste the coffee. The cream was thick and perfect in consistency. Really delicious. The ube coconut one was my favourite though, it was less sweet than the salted cream, and also had a really creamy thick delicious consistency. The coconut was not overpowering which is perfection in my opinion. Whatever the coffee espresso they used is the best. 11/10 would recommend to try their amazing drinks, and you should definitely grab a banh mi while you're at it. Desperate for coffee, we stumbled on this place. The signage is a bit confusing, but the coffee is inside Ba Le. Thank God because when I need caffeine, I NEED CAFFEINE. There are a lot of different choices, but obviously I had to go with the world famous egg coffee because...egg coffee? It didn't make any sense in my head. So yes, I'll throw money at that question. The coffee itself is richer, but the foamed egg on top is....interesting. That's the best way I can describe it. Not bad interesting, but definitely interesting. Like a cappuccino but with a richer, eggier, sweet foam. Worth a try. I might not ever get it again, but definitely glad I tried it. We also got a regular drip coffee just in case the egg was too much, but it wasn't. The special coffees are pretty sweet though, so just be aware of that. Parking was in an underground free lot, service was friendly and they were prompt. It's an overall cute space and I got to try something new. Win win all around. read more

I visited here with a friend last month. I really had to go here to use Hanoi drip coupon since I'm a huge fan of Vietnamese coffee. The cafe was a bit small with not much seating spaces. I highly recommend doing a takeout. I ordered Egg Coffee for mine and Pandan Latte for my pal. I only paid $1.25 more on top of BOGO deal so the total was $8.40. Both drinks were good. I personally preferred Pandan Latte better since Egg Coffee was sweeter than Pandan Latte. They also sell Banhmi sandwiches here as well. The store's name is Ba Le while they also sell coffee under the name Hanoi Drip Coffee. I'll look forward to try more drinks one day! I just think staff needs to be more friendly. I love coming here for their unique coffees! I ordered the ube coconut coffee, and it was absolutely delicious. It was very rich and flavourful, the ube cream was thick and not too sweet! My fiancé ordered the egg foam coffee (it was mixed in our photo, he forgot I love taking photos of all our foodie adventures hahaha). we (party of four) stopped by around 12:30 pm on a saturday, and the place was packed. hanoi drip coffee shares their space with ba le banh mi, which is super convenient. there is underground parking as well as street parking. the menu offers a variety of unique vietnamese coffee drinks like ube coconut coffee, salted cream coffee, matcha viet coffee, and even strawberry matcha latte, but their most popular item is the famous egg coffee (made with a raw egg). i went for the black sesame latte instead. the nuttiness of the black sesame stands out with earthy, slightly smoky, and roasted undertones and pairs well with the boldness of the vietnamese coffee. the whip cream was thick and had bits of grittiness from the black sesame, which often got stuck in the bamboo straw. i wish the café was bigger, this venue seats six comfortably, but it's more suited for takeout than sitting down. read more

When I saw they had the Strawberry matcha latte for the month of February, I knew I had to come back before February was over to try it. I was so glad I made the effort to come back! It was easily one of the best stawberry/matcha lattes I've had. It also inspired me to make my own since they don't always have it. I have been very excited to try this new location of Ba Le in collaboration with Hanoi Drip Coffee. Ba Le was a childhood staple growing up and is visit it every week, but this new location was kind of disappointing. Their baguette did not feel very fresh-- almost as if they were old and stale and they tried re-baking/ovening it to make it fresh again. It then got way too crispy and everything just felt apart. There were less meat/veggies inside compared to the other location and everything didn't feel very flavourful. It was mid at best. It's a smaller location so there were only 2-3 tables open. That's not a problem, but each table was pretty dirty. The drink was decent. It wasn't overly sweet and the Ube foam was a good complement to the coffee. I'd actually love to come back and try their other flavours. The customer service wasn't great, but they did their job. Maybe it was because I went in during lunch rush over so they were busy. Despite this not so positive review, it wasn't horrible. It's still a good spot to grab a quick bite during work lunch hours (which I overheard a lot of their customers saying). Their bánh mì is so good I got the #16 vegetarian spicy lemongrass "chicken", the way they seasoned the tofu is so good I need to know their recipe!! I also ordered the black sesame latte- super nutty and smells great, it mixes really well with the bitter coffee! We look forward to trying the house special banh mi and other flavored coffee!
