If you haven't given % Arabica a try then make sure you do on your next visit to Vancouver/Richmond, B.C. area! We had a great experience at this location and they're also expanding to Oakridge Park Mall very soon. Our first try of their coffee was on a recent trip to Japan and now I'm so happy there are locations within driving distance! Service was good and the ambiance is no frills in a mall kind of experience.
we got the matcha soft serve and it was definitely one of the best matcha ice creams i've had in vancouver. It was very creamy and smooth with a strong matcha flavour. i would definitely try their other matcha stuff next time!
A bit disappointed because I wasn't told the matcha latte needed to be stirred first before I drank it. My first time trying this after all the hype. I thought it was sweetened already but it was bland and very milky. It wasn't until I drank halfway that I added some sugar and the noticed the matcha was at the bottom. Oh my, the taste was so much better after that. I was told the Maple Latte is good so I may try that next but the price is also steep, $7.80 for a cup of latte.
Came here on two separate occasions and while it's passable, I found the whole experience a bit lacking. They take a long time to make drinks as evidenced the the queue of people waiting for their drinks and a few abandoned cups. I've tried both the Kyoto Latte & Spanish Latte. Both lacked any real coffee taste. While I understand it's "lighter", it tasted more like milk. Even the Spanish Latte was not strong in flavor which was surprising to me. Coffee mall kiosk at Richmond Center near the stairs to the food court. Its in a mall so no real character to judge ambiance on. I found the absence of pricing on their signs strange and think it would be helpful if it was displayed upfront before people start lining up. I do think the percentage sign as theit logo on a white background to make a visually pleasing tumbler or mug. They however did not have any merchandise in stock when I was there and when I asked for a ETA when they expected to get some, the staff didn't seem to have an answer unfortunately.
Pricey but the coffee is decent. We got the Kyoto latte and it was indeed smooth. The coffee flavour was prominent and just a tad fruity
I am not a coffee expert , but I tried Kyoto coffee, but it tastes no different than other cafes' coffee which are a lot cheaper. To make experience worse, I found a little fuzz floating on my coffee and I asked the staff to change. The staff's attitude is not even apologetic, just casually say change a new one for me. I hope my experience is just a special case not typical how staff serving customers. Overall, coffee is overpriced, not worth to try again but soft serve surprisingly nice, creamy and rich in strong coffee flavor
Since its opening, there is a long queue always. I tried the Dark latte. Rich flavour of cocoa infused with the coffee perfectly. Matcha Latte is also a must-try. Good quality of matcha used.
The long awaited Arabica has finally opened at Richmond Centre! Having been to the one in Japan and New York, I think this franchise is definitely overhyped - although I do acknowledge that the coffee is quite good! However, I do not think it is worth lining up for so save your time and wait for the hype to die down! Thankfully, my lovely boyfriend lined up for 40 minutes while I was finishing work. I ordered the Kyoto latte which emphasizes on subtle sweetness and the chocolate and fruity notes of the coffee beans. My boyfriend got the matcha latte and he really enjoyed it, especially because of the strong and full flavour of the matcha. I look forward to dropping by more when the hype dies down, the store exterior is absolutely gorgeous!
Location is for sure a convenient spot! Parking available and the shop is accessible in the mall! We came on Sunday 11am! It's a 35mins line up taking order and a 15mins taking our coffee. Total spent 50mins Since am not in rush so I definitely give a try. If I am in rush, there's always other options around Richmond centre! Service are okay! Look forward for next time to try their soft serve!
Arabica is finally open and, as expected, there is a queue at anytime. Arabica took over the old Starbucks location, so it's right in the central location within Richmond Center. I love the design of the storefront. It's bright and contemporary. The menu can be found while you're queuing but there's not a single price listed. You'll find the pricing right up front. This resembled what i had experienced in japan as well. I wished they had the menu and prices up on the wall so that we can check it out while we're waiting in line. The service was good and friendly. Hopefully this lasts when they're no longer brand new and the initial hype has died down. I got a latte like usual when I'm trying a new cafe. I also got a latte in japan. They both taste similar and , honestly, i don't know why the chain is so famous. Lol. It tastes like any regular coffee chains, i.e. Starbucks.
The wait is over - % Arabica finally opens at Richmond Center. Very transit friendly , and parking is available - as location is within the mall. Service was friendly , and handled the long lineups well - Won't be sure how quick they are until the initial hype passes by. The store gave off a bright, clean and vibrant feel on first look. Menus didn't have clear pricing indicated , so it was more of a surprise - and no large menu board, just A frames in the line-up to look at - and small menus at the register. Both the Spanish latte & the dark latte were both made with care - and tasted smooth with a balance of coffee and sweetness.
I always seek out Arabica % wherever there is one. Brand new shop opening in Richmond, B.C. was a fantastic surprise as we are always there when we visit Vancouver. The coffee and matcha lattes are always bold and not overly sweet. The line was long and they were still working out some new opening logistics as it took more than 30 minutes for our drinks but people didn't seem to care. Only if they can now open one up in SoCal!
Visited this shop and it was very busy. Long line up but worth the wait. I have been to other locations where the price was much more expensive - not sure if that's my imagination or not but it was pricy. This location was less expensive. I got the smallest size and then realized the price for the bigger sizes were only different by a very small amount so next time I'm getting the biggest size! I had a mocha but everyone enjoyed their coffees and we all tried different ones. Staff was friendly. Store was clean. Will return!

% Arabica is honestly one of my favorite coffee shops ever! They're an international coffee shop, so I love that I can visit them in different places, but I'm still so sad they don't have one in Seattle. The closest locations for me are Vancouver or LA, so whenever I get the chance to go, I HAVE to get my favorite Kyoto Latte again. I love the condensed milk flavor at the bottom because it gives the drink that slight sweetness without being too sweet. I substituted oat milk this time and it paired so perfectly with the latte. And can we talk about the latte art?! The barista made it SO pretty I almost didn't want to drink it. I seriously need a % Arabica in Seattle immediately because I would be there all the time. read more

Espresso yourself! If you haven't tried this coffee shop yet, you're missing out. Their roots trace back to Japan, and their commitment to high-quality Arabica beans really shines through. The coffee has an incredibly smooth, soft, almost umami-like flavor that's unlike the bold, bitter taste many people are used to. I'll admit, I usually prefer a stronger, coffee-forward roast, so this was a nice change of pace and a coffee bean I've never experienced before. The flavor was refined, balanced, and surprisingly good. I originally wanted a cold brew, but since they didn't have one, I opted for an Americano (I know, I know... why order an Americano?). To my surprise, it wasn't watered down at all. It was smooth, flavorful, and absolutely delicious from the first sip to the last. If you're looking for an intense caffeine kick, add an extra espresso shot or two--problem solved. Otherwise, sit back and enjoy something a little different. This place is proof that great coffee doesn't have to be loud to make an impression. read more

I visited Arabica at Richmond centre. I had visited Whistler's location before, at that time, Matcha latte was not available, so, I decided to try Matcha latte this time. First of all, latte art was very beautiful. i saw the process barista was making, she carefully crafted the latte art. Matcha flavor was strong. I ordered extra sweetness which paired with this flavor well. I found some powder was not fully dissolved. However, it was a decent and delicious drink. Very stylish design , the same as Whistler location read more

After much anticipation, I finally got the chance to visit % Arabica at the Lower Mainland location. We ordered the Kyoto, Spanish Latte, and of course the Matcha. While the Spanish Latte has some condensed milk, it wasn't too sweet. The Kyoto was quite fruity, and the Matcha which was very smooth. The line up though continues to be quite lengthy read more

There was a lot of hype surrounding this coffee shop so I finally made my way here to try the coffee as I was in Richmond. I ordered a dark latte. It was infused with French cocoa and I could actually taste the chocolaty flavour. Service was as good as it could be for a busy coffee shop. There was a long line of customers. I found the minimal aesthetics was is quite nice and calming despite how busy it was. My only complaint is the mall itself. Parking was a challenge as it was the weekend and the mall was packed. The shop location was where Starbucks was previously located at the lower level near the food court. I would only come back here if I was in the area. read more

Ordered the Kyoto latte with oat milk--it was rich, smooth, well balanced and just lightly sweet. Pricey for a 12oz, paid $8.60 all in, but worth it for a well done latte. read more

I had a really good coffee here at Arabica, and some great affogato too. Both times I've come I've not had to deal with a line up and it was fast and the service was friendly. I definitely would get coffee from here again. read more
