Located in the market at Granville Island. I ordered a regular coffee but it was too weak and lacked enough flavour to me for a medium roast. There was a good selection of coffee beans that you could buy. The service was quick and satisfactory . Server was pleasant. The store was clean and looked busy enough to want to try it out . In all fairness, that's all I had so can't say more about the shop. read more

London Fog (Early Grey + Milk) was unique. Will order again. Lavender Matcha Latte had a great taste and flavor of lavender. The best I have tasted amongst all I have ordered. Value was good, not expensive. Line could be long, but moved fast. This store was located inside the Granville Public Market. Nice place to stroll around. If you are looking for a variety of international coffee beans, this is you place. Located inside Granville market this place is a MUST! Long lines, crowded atmosphere, wait times can be frustrating but trust me once you taste their coffee you will be at bliss! I tried the Ethiopia coffee blend, it gave me goosebumps lol strong , tart but tasteful. My husband tried the island blend which was more subtle and not as strong. There are SO many varieties to choose from that it's hard to make a decision. Despite how busy this place is, staff are extremely friendly and give suggestions based on your liking. Highly recommend this place despite the long lines. read more

Nothing special about this coffee place! The coffee they use is not too strong so the drink tastes more like milk! For context, I ordered an almond milk latte. I would check out the other places in the market! Just FYI, they do have coffee bean options but that is only for drip coffee. I got excited at the idea of getting to choose my bean, but sadly was disappointed..:( read more

Not the best flat white here. I should have read the tips first. Not the friendliest staff here too. It was late and there was a huge line to enter the market. I was cranky and just needed some sustenance so this was the first coffee place I saw when I entered the building. It took a while for them to make the flat white. The cup was pretty small so the sleeve did not fit. They double cupped it. The flat white was very strong, bordering on bitter. It was not smooth and creamy with a good mouthfeel. No microfoam either. I guess maybe it is good at making other drinks. Just do not order the flat white. read more

First time here and it was good. I had already grabbed a morning donut and I needed to pair it with a hot coffee. The service was friendly and quick. Right around the corner from their storefront is plenty of seating. You can also go outside to take in the views. The coffee was strong and flavorful. I will definitely visit again the next time I'm in town. This might be too far off the beaten path for coffee during your commute, but definitely check this place out for a stroll on the weekend. read more

Stopped by at the Granville Public market for our daily coffee fix. We got 1 cup of the coffee of the day which you pump out yourself from the travelers on the counter. Not much better than our in room hotel coffee honestly. It was watery and bitter with nearly no flavor. We were quite disappointed as the aesthetic with all the coffee beans was quite interesting. :( read more

This coffee bean and beverage kiosk was a pre Covid favourite. The coffee was consistently good and service prompt considering, its in Granville island public market. Unfortunately things have changed. Coffee was lukewarm, lacking flavour and very slow. There were no customers before me yet my Americano took 10 minutes. Overall cleanliness was poor and staff mediocre. Granville island is a tourist destination so a little bit of friendliness is expected. Barista seemed uninterested and not in any particular hurry. Maybe a one off, but with so much competition and coffee being their only offering they need to improve substantially. read more

There was a line here so we thought to grab some coffee before walking around to explore some more. SERVICE - The cashier was very friendly and immediately reached out to help us before we even asked to order. COFFEE - My husband got a standard coffee and that was what it was. Standard. A standard coffee stall - nothing more and nothing less. I had bought some baked goods from Stuart's Bakery and wanted some coffee to wash it down. I ordered an iced latte and it took forever. There were a few people in front of me who also seemed to have waited for more than a few minutes. The iced latte was fine. Nothing unique about it, but pretty smooth all the same. Went well with my cinnamon record pastry. I'm not sure if this was the only coffee stall in the Public Market but if there is a wait here, I suggest trying another shop for your coffee needs to avoid an excessive wait. read more

Great coffee. Bustling little shop on the Granville Island area. Queue of people getting coffee but moved through it efficiently. When coffees are ready they call them out - which led to some confusion as the person before took the wrong thing. I got my coffee, do crisis averted. But could use a better system - date I say it, like Starbucks does with your name? read more

My 2nd visit here, before 9 am. Both times the employees never cracked a smile. For me, smiling is part of customer service which is lacking these days. Because there were no other customers, my "large" caramel macchiato was done quickly. Their large is more like a medium, for $4.90 ($5.15 with tax). And, more than one-third of my beverage was foam...so I'm feelin' a little bit ripped off. read more

Fair trade gets me everytime. So much in fact that I risked getting kicked out of a Fringe Festival performance by sneaking in my fair trade americano, in the sleeve of my shirt! But back to the coffee and the space. It's hustle and bustle at this intersection of the market, with a busker's area on one side and an entrance way on the other. But it's worth being bumped into while waiting in the usually short line up for a killer cup of joe. My americano was a little bitter, but my tastebuds may have been a little frazzled on the skor cookie I had just demolished from Suart's. The best part of the whole experience though is the fact that they don't have white sugar. They have plantation sugar in the big sugar holders usually filled with white sugar. This little shop has always been my favourite coffee stop on Granville Island. The beans used are organic, fairly trade, estate-grown and roasted locally in small batches. The quality of the beans certainly shows in the taste of the coffee. Strong, rich and flavourful every time. In fact I think the coffee has improved over the years. Situated inside the public market, one would often find a busker playing in front of Petit Ami in the midst of the busy thoroughfares of the market. Service is friendly, and they offer good quality treats as well. I've seen many other coffee shops appear, and sadly the busiest are the chains such as Starbucks and JJ Bean, yet Petit Ami is still the best of them all. read more

A good coffee find in the Granville Island Public Market.... A medium roast was requested but the pot was empty when I went to pump it.... therefore, I settled for the Peru Dark Roast instead (there was also a light roast available). Surprisingly, it was very nice and aromatic, and I usually can't handle dark roasts The coffee was also very hot which is how I like my coffee! They have a large selection of coffee beans and a good variety of coffees and lattes. read more

The Granville lsland location has the best hot chocolate i've had in the city so far. It's about $4.50 for a large which is a good sized cup. About the same as starbucks' grande. It's not gritty like you may find at other places. Once you get close to the bottom there isn't a pool of unmixed syrup or dry mix. They top it with chocolate whip which really puts the stamp on it for me. If you're down at the market, I would recommend it over any other place. I cannot drink coffee/espresso so i cannot comment on the taste and quality of that. read more

On a hot, hot day on the island, all you want is a large cold beverage. Instead of the $7 juices, we decided to get a "ice flow" coffee aka ice-blended coffee from Petit Ami. The Tea Chiller caught my eye, so I asked about it. It was iced black tea blended with fruit juice. She said it was good. Ok... Tea Chiller with mango it is. After a sip of the recommended Tea Chiller... I had one and only one word: WATERY! Then again, I should know better. It's a coffee place. The other drink we ordered was the Cappuccino ice flow. Now that was nice and creamy, albeit a little too sweet for my taste. While I am no coffee connoisseur, I am a regular coffee drinker. And my taste buds tell me that this place is very average. read more

While strolling through Granville Island with my love, I needed something to whet my palate. We stumbled upon Petit Ami. Considering it was quite a warm day, I was leaning towards something cold, but anything with caffeine at this point would have worked. I settled on one of their blended offerings, the White Chocolate one I believe. It was blended well and didn't separate like other blended coffee drinks I've ordered. The sweetness was subtle and allowed the coffee flavor to come through nicely. If/when we make it back to Granville Island, I would definitely stop by again to get my fix. read more

Stopped by this stall while visiting Granville Island. The prices are what I was expecting ($15-17/LB) for locally roasted coffee. Other independent roasters are selling beans for $17+! I enjoyed the coffee - fresh, the profile was clean and distinct. The women working at the stall were super friendly and patient. Overall, a very pleasant experience! read more

you'd probably assume this is the most authentic coffee shop in Granville market because of the small setup of the shop/ how it specializes in coffee with various coffee bean options... but really... once you've had a sip of it you'd be wishing you did not assume that. Neither my friend nor I finished our coffees. It tasted over roasted and burnt... not cheap either. You're better off going to the Starbucks a 7 min walk away. read more

We were excited to try the coffee here looking at all the fair trade choices and looking at the long line too! We stopped in at the second half of our trip to Granville island public market, having already had great organic coffee from the blue parrot earlier that day. Shock of shocks - this house coffee was abysmal! Granted it was only two dollars but still it was so terrible we had to throw it away. It's two stars because if the helpful barista who was nice despite guiding us to choose the house blend. read more

A comfortable place to drink coffee or to drink coffee with a friend.

The tables are small though, and a bit cramped inside, unlike what I'm used to at Main St. There's also minimal wall outlets for laptops or phone charging. So make sure you have your devices charged before coming here to work or study. Outside it's walking distance from other stores snd restaurants. It's a nice commercial neighborhood. As an avid coffee drinker, I am pretty picky on where I choose to have coffee and love the cafe culture in Vancouver. My mom loves doughnuts and we had come all the way from Langley for a day in Kits, so I recommended we go to 49th! I spent about $40 on 4 doughnuts, 2 maple sea salt lattes and a drip coffee. The maple sea salt lattes looked beautiful and my doughnut was delicious as usual (big fan of the french crueller). Unfortunately, our maple sea salt lattes were very very strong and had no maple or sea salt flavoring in my opinion. I decided to ask the girl at the register if we could please get a different drink because it was super strong and didn't taste good. I was met with SO much attitude, i was actually shocked. I went into it very friendly and politely asked for an alternate drink as i did spend $12 on these two drinks (and life gets expensive!!). She then goes "well, you probably don't like the taste of coffee then".... I actually didn't know how to respond. But i did say "I'm a huge 49th fan and love coffee!". Then I had asked how many shots are in the small and she said "2". I then had asked if we could get a new/different drink and she goes "I'll give it to you this one time, but next time you'll have to pay." This is NOT the way to treat a paying customer. It felt so rude and accusatory. I very rarely come to Kits, so she wouldn't have recognized me and am an honest girl who works hard for my money. When the customer comes up politely, you offer to make it right. I hope the next person that comes up not satisfied with their drink is treated a lot better than how I was.

We pick up as they don't deliver. Their fried chicken is Fritou and they originate from Quebec in the late 90's. Duffin's is the only place that served Fritou fried chicken and they are really good. I always order the 3 pieces (1 wing, 1 drum & 1 thigh with fries or rice) for $9.39. You can ask for a mix of spicy or original but think the spicy is better and not too hot. I usually can't finish and take the rest home. Open 24 hours and considered the best deal in town for the portion of food you get. The decor is not fancy more like a hole-in-the-wall but that is what I love about it! They are here to impress you with the food and not the decor. The colourful orange and green bench seatings were originally from their shop on Main and 33rd so I love seeing them as it's reminded me of their good old days when you see motorcycles mixed with Mercedes cars in their parking lot.

Our server suggested that, because it was happy hour, a pitcher would be cheaper and save us money. I specifically asked how many ounces the pitcher was and was told 32 oz, which sounded reasonable since we planned to get 15 oz beers. When the pitcher arrived, it was clearly 64 oz. The server apologized for the mistake, and I let it go, thinking we didn't have to drink it all. However, when the bill arrived, the price didn't match the quote. We were charged $25, not the $20 we were originally told when the 64-oz pitcher showed up, with the explanation that the regular price was $35 and that we had "saved" money. In the end, we were served twice the beer we wanted and paid twice what we intended, based on information that kept changing. Whether this was incompetence or intentional, it left me feeling frustrated and uncomfortable. The food and atmosphere really were great -- but the experience was overshadowed by feeling manipulated. Enjoy the food and beer, but pay close attention to what the wait staff tells you and what ends up on the bill.

Service was standard, nothing memorable one way or the other. I ordered the warm lobster roll and a prawn cocktail. Unfortunately, the lobster roll was a letdown. It wasn't very warm, the lobster itself didn't have much flavor, tasted off and the whole sandwich was just kind of dry. Thank goodness I also ordered the prawn cocktail because it saved the meal. It wasn't anything fancy, but the prawns were a good size and gave me something I actually halfway enjoyed. Overall, I didn't have the experience I was looking forward to.
