Pumpkin pie latte - IG @bougiefoodieboi
    Kyle W.

Cute coffee shop in the Kitsilano Beach area. It stands out as a white building in the exterior, with a cozy interior. We tried the seasonal pumpkin pie latte while autumn was still in full swing. The latte is nicely presented with a cute latte art that looks nicer than other coffee shops. The coffee is the right amount of sweetness and tastes superior to the standard pumpkin spice latte.

Very cute cafe for a weekday or a nice weekend morning! The coffee was delicious and definitely woke me up! I had the breakfast sandwich and it was so light and fluffy! It was just the right amount of food along with a coffee. Kits is a cute place if you're taking a walk and want to stop in, or if you're just grabbing a coffee! Instagram - Madeline's_Dines

Oh brother where do I even begin. The coffee here was PHENOMENAL. If I recall properly, I got a cardamom latte of some sort. If it wasn't cardamom, it was some kind of latte but regardless it was wonderful. I loved it. So flavorful and rich. My friend got a lemon tarte slice thing there with thyme and hands down the best I've ever tried and I've tried plenty in the States. The presentation was also noteworthy. Service was quick and kind enough! They were busy so they had to be speedy I get it. The vibes reminded me of somewhere in Santa Barbara. Definitely gave small town beach cafe. Felt like I was transported to somewhere else!

Pesto Egg Breakfast Sandwich. Lemon Thyme Brownie, Apple Chai Latte

I really like the atmosphere. Very cozy and appropriately "beachy". I thought the little learning library with books for kids and adults on nature, Indigenous history, self-improvement, and LGBTQ topics was really interesting. It's not a very large shop but there's a decent amount of seating between the tables and benches inside and the patio (which is mostly covered and suitable to use in the rain). The food menu is pretty basic but they have some interesting pastries and specialty drinks. I got a pesto egg breakfast sandwich, a lemon thyme brownie, and an apple chai latte. The egg in the sandwich was a little undercooked (the white was still kind of runny in places) but otherwise it was a good sandwich, very good brioche bun. The lemon thyme brownie was great! Very rich. The thyme was very present and gave it an interesting flavour but it wasn't TOO strong. The chai latte was SUPER strong and spicy which I really liked! Also less sweet than I was expecting but that was also a good thing, although the apple was pretty subtle. Average value for money. The portions are a little on the small side but that was fine for my appetite.

Food: the strawberry matcha drink was sweet but you can't really taste the matcha. It seemed like a very light color. Service: the baristas were nice Ambiance: very cute interior and exterior!

Open on Labour Day!! Yay.. Cloudy morning went for a walk around the beach, most cafes and stores were still closed, too early maybe or cause it was a holiday. After my walk I checked my bookmarks and Kits beach coffee was on my list that I have yet to check out. I was walking up to it, I already felt a good vibe... It was busy... I ordered a drip coffee and a blueberry orange muffin. Both hit the spot. Right after getting my coffee, I couldn't find a place to seat. After a couple of minutes things opened up. Seating inside and out. I manage to grab the swing, which I loved. I sat in the cafe for sometime seeing people come and go. I could seat here forever, I don't know why it took me so long to come here. My new fave cafe for sure!

    classic Americano and scones

Classic Kits Beach Coffee offers a decidedly nostalgic 1970's beach vibe. Kits point location on Cornwall is a great alternative to Starbucks, just a few shops away. There are a few short term parking spots on Cornwall otherwise it can be a challenge to find a place to stop as this is a high traffic area. We were happy to find a good number of 2 seater tables open and benches for sitting. There is also a small outside table / seating area which, despite the cool weather, was surprisingly busy. We had our usual Americano with two types of sweet scones and a savory cheese option. Coffee came up quickly, it was ok but not strong enough for our taste. The savory cheese scone had a pretty powerful cayenne taste that was quite a shock and a bit too intense for me, hubby liked it. The mixed berry and blueberry scones were excellent. The condiment wagon was woefully inadequate and impractical. An open jar of sugar with a spoon was very hard and in a high traffic zone (packets would be more sanitary). The cart is small so you have to line up to access. All in the experience was good, for a local coffee pit stop, better than most. Overall 4 out of 5 for the berry scones, coffee 3.5 out of 5. Overall score of 3.75 but I'll give a 4 because the customer service and cleanliness was better than 3 stars.

Service was good and the shop itself was very cute if you wanted to meet up for a friend date or get some work done (not sure if there's WiFi available or not). However, my drink was very disappointing. I had to throw it away which I never do because I hate wasting things. Iced spiced chai latte had a weird texture and tasted like thick milk with some cinnamon.

How was this the first time I stepped foot in this place? I've been missing out. I took part in a pottery class hosted at this cute coffee spot and immediately fell in love with the design and decor. While I didn't try their coffee, I did try their ginger beer which was fantastically refreshing with that ginger zing. The staff are very personable and talented! Not only do they work the counter, they also led the pottery class! I'm going to have to stop by again soon. Perhaps, it'll become another spot for me to get a bit of work done while enjoying a coffee when in the area.

Such a cute coffee shop by Kits Beach. Coming here on a Sunday morning, the coffee shop was buzzing with only one empty table. It was very cute and cozy and seemed like a great place to meet up with friends. I got the cappuccino to go and thought it tasted pretty good. Highly recommended as a coffee stop in Vancouver!

This is my fav spot after a 10k Sunday morning! The area is quiet and beautiful! I love getting their turkey sandwich and their mocha is to die for. I add a shot of espresso to it and it is HEAVEN!

Beans and local artisan goods to buy. Slight view of outdoor seating and warm ambiance within.

I'm a specialty coffee fanatic, and this is one of the few coffee shops in Vancouver that hits all the marks for me. Specialty coffee culture isn't just about incredible coffee, it is about the cozy ambiance and knowledgeable service. The coffee is the correct temperature (not burnt!) and flavorful, always. Despite long lines during peak hours, the staff is always friendly. Plenty of events take place in the space as well. Bookshelves available with EDIJ in mind I would love to see a few free coffee community events, such as a coffee tasting, if it was possible!

Very pleasantly surprised by this gem Welcoming, happy ambience with about ~8 available tables so finding a spot is manageable. But, there are notes about laptop use where it's limited at certain tables* Pallet roaster coffee - not my personal favourite but a standard at many Vancouver cafés Selection of baked goods like croissants, muffins and scones with vegan options (!!) I LOVED the chocolate zucchini vegan muffin *probably the best one I've had in a while Sandwich offerings for if you're feeling peckish - great grilled cheese! Discounted (50% off) Day Old Baked Goods Additional drink offerings: Sap sucker, Kombucha and in-house Smoothies Overall: A great cafe all around

Holiday Chocolate Kugelhopf~ dark chocolate sweet bread studded with chocolate chips, citrus peels, and almond praline, rolled in sugar. I really liked kugelhoph's dough and almond praline! It wasn't too heavy, lighter texture and praline wasn't too sweet. So, sugar coating paired with dough very well. I would like to get this one again! Overall, I really enjoyed both Christmas items. I am writing this review because my email to them went unanswered…read more I am shocked and disappointed at the way I was treated after spending $40. I am a HUGE 49th fan and love their dougnuts and coffee. Whenever I have friends in town, or someone needs a suggestion on where to visit, I always say "49th has really good coffee and doughnuts". Unfortunately, my mind has changed, and I don't see myself ever recommending this location. As an avid coffee drinker, I am pretty picky on where I choose to have coffee and love the cafe culture in Vancouver. My mom loves doughnuts and we had come all the way from Langley for a day in Kits, so I recommended we go to 49th! I spent about $40 on 4 doughnuts, 2 maple sea salt lattes and a drip coffee. The maple sea salt lattes looked beautiful and my doughnut was delicious as usual (big fan of the french crueller). Unfortunately, our maple sea salt lattes were very very strong and had no maple or sea salt flavoring in my opinion. I decided to ask the girl at the register if we could please get a different drink because it was super strong and didn't taste good. I was met with SO much attitude, i was actually shocked. I went into it very friendly and politely asked for an alternate drink as i did spend $12 on these two drinks (and life gets expensive!!). She then goes "well, you probably don't like the taste of coffee then".... I actually didn't know how to respond. But i did say "I'm a huge 49th fan and love coffee!". Then I had asked how many shots are in the small and she said "2". I then had asked if we could get a new/different drink and she goes "I'll give it to you this one time, but next time you'll have to pay." This is NOT the way to treat a paying customer. It felt so rude and accusatory. I very rarely come to Kits, so she wouldn't have recognized me and am an honest girl who works hard for my money. When the customer comes up politely, you offer to make it right. I hope the next person that comes up not satisfied with their drink is treated a lot better than how I was.

And the girl who took my order, as well as the girl who rang me up at the cash, could NOT have been more aloof. (Side note: the staff at the Yaletown site have always been super pleasant and friendly, and this really makes a difference. To me, anyhow). Contrary to another reviewer's posting, the restaurant and the washroom was very clean when I visited here. No issues there. Honestly, I'm not sure I'll return to this site.
