Returning after a few years. Same old same old, in a good way. Latte still great. Switched to oat milk with extra charge. Pleasant Friday morning. Place is packed with bloomers. Amazing to see how healthy they all are. Fully energet8c and engaged in conversations with much laughter.

Yummy breakfast spot! Loved the outdoor seating and the quick service. I ordered a latte and a huevos ranchero burrito. Would come again.

Solid spot to pop in before heading to Stanley park. We got a pour over and a caramel macchiato. They were delightful and a nice start to the day.

Visiting from out of town ... we enjoyed walking here everyday from our hotel. The coffee was great as were the pastries!!! The staff was also friendly!

Such good coffee! And I do not say that lightly, I try all the places. My go to food is the breakfast croissant (has saved many hangovers). And their pastries are really yummy as well. And can we talk about their coffee sizes? 12oz, 16oz and 20oz!! Incredible. Good seating areas, especially in the summer as you can do some great people watching. Near everything. This is the one place that has seen me at my worst and have never judged and the staff is absolutely lovely and extremely competent. If you are in the area, come here.

Efficient cashier in moving line along, quick barista. Well air conditioned. I had the summer special- salted caramel chiller.

Found this place by chance while wandering in West end. Full marks for service: they were very patient with my dietary issues (celiac and nut allergy), and also do a great coffee! 5 stars in all aspects: will definitely be back!

What a great little spot! I'm usually a bit hard on coffee shops when it comes to my favourite drink - mochas. But Delaney's stands with the best of them, striking a perfect balance between coffee and cacao. Beyond that, the pastries here are excellent - I've tried their brownies and peanut butter crunch bars and both are soft and crunchy in the right spots and full of flavour, without being overly sweet. It's also a really nice location more generally. Staff seem very friendly, there's a big wooden bar with plenty of stools along the window and a larger seating area deeper inside. It's nicely lit and slightly quaint in a way that feels quite comfortable, almost like a little diner. Overall, this may be a new entry among my favourite Vancouver coffee shops. Give it a shot if you're in the area!

As a Coffee snob, I have to say Delany's has top notch coffee! I cant imagine why people still go to Starbucks and such when there are places like this that really understand what it takes to make a real cup of coffee! Staff are all super great and atmosphere just rocks. 5 stars all the way!

    My beautiful latte!

Great spot to stop for a coffee! I had an almond milk latte with sugar free vanilla (my go-to) and found the drink to be creamy and smooth. The line was pretty long when I arrived as it was just prior to 10am and I was impressed with the efficiency of the staff- the line moved SO quickly! If you want to sit and stay a while, they have outdoor and indoor seating, including an indoor bar facing large windows that open up in nice weather. Along with coffee, they serve your typical coffee shop style foods- wraps, pastries, oatmeal, etc.

Dough was very buttery and crispy. I could taste strong butter flavor which stood out. Passionfruit jam dominated over hazelnut cream. It lean on sweeter side. I prefer more hazelnut cream. However, the croissant itself was one of the best. Very delicious. Holiday Chocolate Kugelhopf~ dark chocolate sweet bread studded with chocolate chips, citrus peels, and almond praline, rolled in sugar. I really liked kugelhoph's dough and almond praline! It wasn't too heavy, lighter texture and praline wasn't too sweet. So, sugar coating paired with dough very well. I would like to get this one again! Overall, I really enjoyed both Christmas items. Their baking goods was always top notch.

It's my first time here. It's busy. Lots of seats. They have a glass covered patio, which is a nice extension. I ordered a double shot of ice espresso. It was a warm day but needed caffeine. I like they have lots of choices of sweets and donuts and their portions are big. The tables are small though, and a bit cramped inside, unlike what I'm used to at Main St. There's also minimal wall outlets for laptops or phone charging. So make sure you have your devices charged before coming here to work or study. Outside it's walking distance from other stores snd restaurants. It's a nice commercial neighborhood. I am writing this review because my email to them went unanswered…read more I am shocked and disappointed at the way I was treated after spending $40. I am a HUGE 49th fan and love their dougnuts and coffee. Whenever I have friends in town, or someone needs a suggestion on where to visit, I always say "49th has really good coffee and doughnuts". Unfortunately, my mind has changed, and I don't see myself ever recommending this location. As an avid coffee drinker, I am pretty picky on where I choose to have coffee and love the cafe culture in Vancouver. My mom loves doughnuts and we had come all the way from Langley for a day in Kits, so I recommended we go to 49th! I spent about $40 on 4 doughnuts, 2 maple sea salt lattes and a drip coffee. The maple sea salt lattes looked beautiful and my doughnut was delicious as usual (big fan of the french crueller). Unfortunately, our maple sea salt lattes were very very strong and had no maple or sea salt flavoring in my opinion. I decided to ask the girl at the register if we could please get a different drink because it was super strong and didn't taste good. I was met with SO much attitude, i was actually shocked. I went into it very friendly and politely asked for an alternate drink as i did spend $12 on these two drinks (and life gets expensive!!). She then goes "well, you probably don't like the taste of coffee then".... I actually didn't know how to respond. But i did say "I'm a huge 49th fan and love coffee!". Then I had asked how many shots are in the small and she said "2". I then had asked if we could get a new/different drink and she goes "I'll give it to you this one time, but next time you'll have to pay." This is NOT the way to treat a paying customer. It felt so rude and accusatory. I very rarely come to Kits, so she wouldn't have recognized me and am an honest girl who works hard for my money. When the customer comes up politely, you offer to make it right. I hope the next person that comes up not satisfied with their drink is treated a lot better than how I was.

Unfortunately, it was not the same. I was glad to see the same amazing pastries and tarts and sandwiches, all fresh and beautifully displayed in the display case. I ordered a croissant and it was superb as usual. I also ordered one of thier baguettes to bring home. My kid and I think SV has the best baguettes in the city. They are crusty on the outside, soft yet chewy inside, and just consistently perfect. This one was as good as all the others we've had from here. Yeah! I wanted an Earl Grey tea which IMO is a pretty basic order. Surprisingly, they did not have it. I got a green tea instead (their tea selection was very limited). And the girl who took my order, as well as the girl who rang me up at the cash, could NOT have been more aloof. I smiled and tried to make a little small talk, especially with the girl at the cash when I took out my debit card and asked how to pay (she just pointed at the tap symbol on the machine but my card is not tap-enabled. I always joke with people about this). This girl would not even look at me. Zero eye contact. No "thank you", nada. I just got really cold vibes from the two of them there at the counter. (At least when I picked up my tea at the beverage counter, the guy there made eye contact and semi smiled). (Side note: the staff at the Yaletown site have always been super pleasant and friendly, and this really makes a difference. To me, anyhow). Contrary to another reviewer's posting, the restaurant and the washroom was very clean when I visited here. No issues there. Honestly, I'm not sure I'll return to this site. There are so many cafes and bakeries around, I'd rather go to one with a warmer vibe. Or stay with my Yaletown SV.
