I like all the Bean Around the Worlds, but the owner/manager(?) of this one is so nice and is always eager to talk about the drinks and food every time I see him, which makes this location in particular feel special to me. The aesthetic and atmosphere of the place is rustic and very cozy. I really like all their food, the sandwiches/wraps and the baked goods - there's interesting choices including good vegetarian and vegan options, and they're well-made. And the drinks are just as good - they can do a nice strong tea latte here and this summer they have decaf cold brew!! I can't handle regular coffee on most occasions so I haven't had cold brew in ages and was excited to try this, and it was amazing. Highly recommend for my fellow decaf drinkers!

It's a nice place to have a coffee with a treat, but not for sitting back and doing some work on your laptop as most of the tables prohibit use of laptops and tablets. Coffee itself is great, so are the treats, and for that reason I do recommend checking this place out.

As soon as I walked in I felt very welcomed. Calm/chill atmosphere. Very easy-going. I enjoyed a classic Canadiana as recommended by the staff. The place also had steady business which is always a good sign. Would recommend.

It was great to stop in here again after so many years. This used to be a regular stop for me. The coffee is still great. I had a triple long americano. The taste was exactly what I was hoping for. Due to COVID measures, only a few people come into the shop at a time. They have appropriate plexiglass between the customer and staff. You can purchase various wraps, chicken, breakfast, vegan etc. They also have some healthy nut bars or banana bread. I had the vegan fruit/nut bar and it was yum. There is also the option to purchase larger portions of sweets to go. On the shelves in the front, there are whole banana loaves, lemon loaves, large date squares and cookies you can purchase for take away. It's a nice spot if you want great tasting local coffee and good treats.

I am so thankful that this coffee shop is still serving its customers. I have now come here 10 years plus. First, the cappuccino that Max makes me allows me to clean my house in record time. It could have to do with the six shots of espresso in it. His interaction with customers and his staff is admirable. He is always willing to go above and beyond to make his customers happy. He and his staff remember their regulars. Times have changed but the staffs' outlook has not changed - still the same friendly workers I am accustomed to. His cookies are to die for. The ginger snaps and chocolate chip cookies make my mouth water just thinking about them. I'm on my way after this to get some. Oatmeal cookies are soft just as I think a oatmeal cookie should be. The lemon loaf is lemony and finger licking good. Makes my taste buds dance around. I bet you can't just eat one piece? I can't. The chocolate chip loaf is so scrumptious too!

Does anyone else feel like singing that song by Lisa Stansfield..all around the world? I do every time I walk by or go in.. I can't help but hum "I've BEAN around the world, and I can't find my latte"......no? did I loose you on that? anyways they make an excellent london fog...... what? what's that you say you have never had a london fog? well it's steamed milk with a tea bag tossed in.... delicious. They also have excellent selection of baked goods and I luv their cinnamon buns.

The mushroom soups tastes fresh and YUM.

Wow - coffee shop with no wifi and all tables "laptop and tablet free zones" - good luck on the crusade! Straight up dumb for business imho.

I instantly remembered the ones from Grounds for Coffee! I could practically smell the cinnamon and sugar in my mind--I knew I had to have one! I stopped by for dessert around 7 pm and asked for the cinnamon buns to be warmed up. It was perfectly ooey-gooey, and the amount of icing was spot on. The overall flavor was well-balanced (not too sweet, in my opinion). I paired it with a black drip coffee, and alternating between the sweet treat and the bitter coffee was just what I needed. We sat at a nice side table and played some fun word games while we ate. It's a cozy place to spend time and enjoy a sweet treat. I would highly recommend this local favorite if you're like me and are always down for a warm, gooey cinnamon bun!

I tried ordering through their app to use points but the app was so hard to use as it kept going back and forth the same page. I got the cashier to help and she kept apologizing that it's so confusing and complicates. Even she had challenges with the app. I got my usual bun with no icing. When I sank my teeth into it, i was like huh? So i ate another bite and had to examine my bun afterwards. The bun only had some dark brown cinnamon spots at the top. The rest of it was just doughy looking and tasted just like a regular bun. I don't think i wanted to pay $6 something for a regular bun...

The aesthetic of this cafe is contemporary and very visually clean and cute. I don't know if I can compare their bubble tea to any other bubble tea shop in the city because they use such fresh ingredients mixed with high-quality tea and the end result is absolutely delicious. In just the past week I've had the chance to drink three drinks including today's not too sweet, more subtle chrysanthemum sunrise which has grapefruit chunks. Their Garden Milk Tea was super tasty with rose syrup was gulped up last week but our ABSOLUTE FAVOURITE is the Passion Fruit Vanilla Float. This drink has the perfect mix of that passion fruit punch, with the bubbles of soda from the sparkling water, sweet chunks of aloe vera, and that creamy touch of the vanilla cream. You also get the passion fruit seeds mixed in with pearls (if you order their amazing pearls) and it's seriously the BEST drink. You won't be disappointed. I've had the chance in months pass to try the matcha strawberry with strawberry chunks and it was amazingly delicious too so my top two recommendations are the Matcha Strawberry or the Passion Fruit Vanilla Float! I still need to come by for breakfast but the waffles and macarons I've had here have been delightful.

The barista was very friendly and eager to talk about the menu. She checked to make sure my drink was sweet enough when she gave it to me and asked how everything was as I was leaving. Asparagus & asiago quiche: The quiche itself was okay - I liked the flavour but it kind of had the reheated texture - but they put some fresh arugula and black pepper on top which was very nice. Mocha cookie: Top tier cookie. Nice coffee flavour, not too sweet, perfectly crispy but not crunchy. Lychee latte: Just steamed milk and lychee flavour, no espresso. I asked for half sweet, and there was just enough lychee flavour to get the essence of lychee without making it a very sweet drink. Although I didn't try the coffee, this does seem like a good place for coffee nerds. They have different varieties of brewed coffee you can try in store and beans for sale.

It's a very hot weather, so we ordered an iced dirty matcha. The owner who was also the barista asked if we knew what the dirty matcha was. We said yes. It was coffee + matcha powder from Japan. Once he prepared all the ingredients, he asked us to look at the coffee matcha in a cup. He poured it into a cup of cold milk. We grabbed the beverage and tried it right away. It was GREAT!! It tasted fruity coffee matcha flavour. He worried some people would taste the bitterness, so he asked if we would like to add syrup or sugar. We did not need to add any sweetness to ruin the original delicious flavour. The original flavour was the best. I would recommend people to buy coffee from this coffee shop. The owner paid attention to details and made good coffee. This was not my first time to have coffee here. I had latte and one more coffee beverage here in the past. They were all good. LOL again I would not choose Tim Hortons or Starbucks coffee IF I have a choice.

This place is especially known for their mochi donuts, which have a really interesting texture, very chewy with a bit of crispiness on the outside. I'm generally not a huge donut fan, and this version is still a little greasy, but the texture is definitely unique and worth trying at least once. We were surprisingly the first customers of the day, which was great since the line is usually pretty long (it's a pretty hyped-up spot). Avocado Benedict ($22) 3/5 I ordered this for a lighter take on bennies, but in my opinion they added way too much hollandaise. Combined with the avocado, everything ended up tasting overly rich. The eggs were perfectly poached though, and the tater tots were also nicely crunchy. Mortadella Sandwich ($15) 4/5 My friend, who loves this place for brunch, said this is her favourite menu item and I can see why. I feel like it's underrated since most people go for the bennies or the chicken pancakes, but I'd highly recommend this instead. The texture combination is great: thinly sliced mortadella, an egg layer that almost feels like a crepe, and crispy onions. The tobasco sauce also helps balance everything out and makes the dish feel lighter.

We ordered a few things to share and everything landed. The fried chicken, pancake combo was the star for me, crispy, well seasoned chicken with a fluffy pancake, plus a little syrup on the side that pulls it all together (sweet-salty perfection). We also tried a poached egg plate with crispy tater tots, super comforting, and the sauce was rich without being too heavy. The other dish had a generous topping of fresh greens and a creamy element underneath, which made it feel balanced and not overly "brunch-bomb." Drinks were great too, my iced matcha was smooth and not overly sweet. Why not a full 5? It can feel a little pricey for the portion sizes, and it's more of a "treat brunch" than an everyday spot. But overall, the flavors, vibe, and execution were strong and I'd absolutely come back when I want a cute, relaxed brunch with a friend.
