    Tiramisu dacquoise

We decided to get some desserts after lunch, and this place looks chic and cute in the market, so I wanted to give it a try. Asked the woman at the cash register what flavors they recommend, she said tiramisu so we tried it, first of all this pricing is outrageous, this doesn't even cost half of the efforts as macarons and the best class Korean macarons I have had in prime locations cost much less than this, and the tiramisu power, this is already a dry dessert, I almost choked by the powder and it absorbed all the moisture from one's mouth, it is not good at all.

This is what I had and it was delicious

Located inside the Lonsdale Quay, C41 coffee was a pleasant surprise. I had heard about this place from Siply and wanted to check it out for myself. The inside was very bright and inviting and I was impressed by the number of beans from local roasters that they had on display. I ended up getting a latte and it was just right and not too hot. I would be interested in coming back and trying more of their drinks (and their oat milk alternatives!)

Great stop for coffee and pastries in North Vancouver, inside the market. Variety of coffee beans to choose from. I went for Americano with blend of Brazilian and Costa Rican beans. Others went go Colombian for an espresso. Mine was rich, hearty and a bit acidic. O would go for the Colombian next time as that had a tobacco / chocolate taste. Butter cookies were delicious and will definitely try the Palmiers. Batista was very knowledgeable and made coffees to perfection. Ask them the origin of the name of the place! Good story.

Yummy coffee. I got an iced coffee and americano. Loved how they had vegan cookies and pop up donuts from Royal City Donuts. The Nanaimo bar donut was delicious I wish I bought more. Overall a cute coffee shop in Londsdale Quay.

Stumbled across this place because they advised they had Australian Signature flat white coffee and although it will never be as good as Australian coffee it was DARN CLOSE!! Kelly the owner is so sweet, if I lived in the area I'd definitely come here for a morning coffee they also play really good music as well that isn't too loud.

Caramel macchiato @C41 Coffee, tastes really good and the price is moderate ($5.20)

This spot is great. Really friendly and the best coffee in North Van. Owner is excellent at pulling shots.

This place is especially known for their mochi donuts, which have a really interesting texture, very chewy with a bit of crispiness on the outside. I'm generally not a huge donut fan, and this version is still a little greasy, but the texture is definitely unique and worth trying at least once. We were surprisingly the first customers of the day, which was great since the line is usually pretty long (it's a pretty hyped-up spot). Avocado Benedict ($22) 3/5 I ordered this for a lighter take on bennies, but in my opinion they added way too much hollandaise. Combined with the avocado, everything ended up tasting overly rich. The eggs were perfectly poached though, and the tater tots were also nicely crunchy. Mortadella Sandwich ($15) 4/5 My friend, who loves this place for brunch, said this is her favourite menu item and I can see why. I feel like it's underrated since most people go for the bennies or the chicken pancakes, but I'd highly recommend this instead. The texture combination is great: thinly sliced mortadella, an egg layer that almost feels like a crepe, and crispy onions. The tobasco sauce also helps balance everything out and makes the dish feel lighter.

The girl working behind the counter was so sweet and recommended some stuff off the menu. We loved everything we had. The menu has shrunk considerably and their business days/hours are also a lot less than what it was previously. The drinks were not as tasty as they used to be. My Blue Rose drink was the best of the bunch and I would say even that was just OK. I enjoyed the Lychee jelly in my drink. That was probably the best part of the drink. The liquid part was kinda "meh" for me. I think the best thing we ordered was the matcha soft serve ice cream. On the flip side, there was a guy playing piano there and they were taking requests. I suggested Demon Slayer and the guy played the famous "Gurenge" song by Lisa from season one of Demon Slayer. That was kinda cool. He was a very good pianist. Great way to liven the atmosphere. Also, there was a guy who came around and gave us all tiny paper cranes. It's nothing much, but still always nice to be gifted with anything at all. Business must be hard for them. It would sure be nice to see them return to how they used to be, with a bigger menu, tastier drinks and more days/hours again. We love this place for the manga/ anime vibes that it exudes, and love the Matcha soft serve ice cream they sell here. Really wanna give this place a higher rating but the drinks were really not up to par this time, and as much as we love the Matcha ice cream, it is not by itself enough to warrant giving out a higher rating. If they could just improve the quality of their drinks again...then even if they menu remains limited, at least if everything they serve is of good quality...that would be enough to merit a higher rating.
