Our first stop when visiting the Granville marketplace was to get a much-needed caffeine fix. We made our way to blue parrot espresso bar and each ordered a toffee nut latte. I ordered mine with oat milk while my husband got traditional whole milk. The latte was definitely a splurge, but had wonderful flavor and kept us warm as we sipped it and walked around the Granville marketplace. On a non-rainy day, I am sure that the blue parrot espresso bar has a wonderful view of the water and downtown Vancouver. The service was fast and friendly. read more

A beautiful view in a fun area! It's an indoor bar but with excellent views of the water and boardwalk. The coffee tasted great and was a welcome refresher for a hot day. It gets very, very busy on weekends so it's important not to wait too long to order. It's also incredibly difficult to find seating so park yourself early or estimate you'll be doing a walking-coffee tour of the area. read more

Have visited this coffee, sandwich and baked goods spot too many times to count. IMO second only to muffin granny for consistency and good service. That said, today is my review. We had our regularAmericano with a scone and muffin. Probably one of the top 3 best ever muffins, scone was good when lathered in butter, otherwise a little dull flavour wise. Coffee was excellent, service excellent and the biggest surprise was we actually found a table to sit at despite being a holiday weekend. Really enjoyed my caramel macchiato...faster, friendlier service than Starbucks. My husband loved his mocha as well.

OMG!!! Great coffee and great service. My dad and I were there as a birthday trip and we absolutley loved it. My dad says that their Caramel Macchiato is the best he's ever had, and he's had a few from Starbucks. I had an Iced Toffee Nut Latte and it was also pretty good. I liked how smooth and pleasant the coffee itself tasted, The overall feel of the coffee place was great too. Although it was busy, there was good seating and a great view of the sea from where we sat. It happened to have been a sunny day which was helpful. The employees were also super nice and did everything in a super organized and timely manner. Definitely recommend going there. read more

It does have some interesting decorations, but ultimately the products they serve are about average and there is nothing really personal or unique about the experience. I literally just got a Americano and was on my way. There was no need to stick around to enjoy the atmosphere--you might as well just hang outside to enjoy the harbor. read more

A fabulous location with a great view of the marina makes this an ideal location for a coffee. And, the coffee is good. Comfortable seating and some great people watching makes this a wonderful place to have your morning joe. One thing I did not like hearing was the excited gossiping going on behind the counter. The gals were complaining about someone they work with. Always remember, customers can hear you and we don't go to your place of business/employment to hear complaining! Take it to a back room, or even better, do it on your own hours. Not a bad deal, it was crowded and busy and some of the other customers were rather rude when they are looking for seating. You order at the counter and walk to the opposite side to pick it up. The store has its own seating separate from the farmers market seating which is nice. And for $25 we got 2 breakfasts and 2 drinks. Boyfriend had the bagel and lox which was fresh and tasty. And a bottle of their spring water I had their bagel with egg cheese and tomato. It was filling and good enough but missing a little something in the flavor side of things. But I also got a small Toffee Nut Latte and it was awesome, I wish I'd gotten a larger one, even boyfriend liked it and he hates coffee. Located in a bright nook of the Granville Public Market is this espresso bar. It seems that this place has a lot of regulars, who stop by with their reusuable tumblers. My friends and I came here for a Friday breakfast, and sat in the nook with the view of the water and bridge. There were other places for coffee or tea, but since the Blue Parrot was literally behind us, I chose this place. The menu is overwhelming. There's a food menu, and a fairly extensive menu of their drinks. I didn't see if they offered soy, so I just asked for a chai latte with soy. It wasn't until AFTER I ordered that I saw they did offer soy and almond milk, but to this day, I have no clue if it cost extra for soy in my drink. I think the menu could be more clear, but maybe that's just me. read more

Came here on a busy day and will probably never come back. I ordered a large cappuccino but what I got was a cup that wasn't even 1/3 full. When I brought it to the server's attention, she took the cup back to add more milk. After a few minutes, she returned with my cup. This time my large cup was half liquid and half foam. On the quest for some espresso on Granville Island, BF and I stumbled upon Blue Parrot Espresso Bar in hopes of some quality espresso juice. This little joint quickly caught our attention in the bustling food court of the beautiful public market. They made an effort to point out that their coffee is organic, just as many of the espresso bars in the public market were, but the style of this particular one was the one to try. BF and I are espresso people. No brewed coffee. Nada, but some simple espresso shots with some milk and sugar. I ordered the doppio espresso, topped with whipped cream. Bf ordered the same. The espresso and the chocolate whipped cream was amazing. No sourness, just pure freshness. Drinking fresh espresso in cute little cups in Granville Island on a chilly day. We got to the market before they opened and walked around outside to check out the waterfront. We noticed a few people inside this place so we decided to check it out. I ordered the medium roast coffee and the grilled tuna panini. The coffee was well balanced and smooth. I could've easily drank another cup, but since we were going on a long drive back to Seattle, it was a good idea that I didn't order that second cup. The portion size of the panini was big enough for two. The tuna was average. The rosemary focaccia bread was a little bit dry (except for the mayo from the tuna). Very popular coffee place on Granville Island that is actually open late past 5 pm (8 pm) which is extremely helpful when meeting friends after work for a nice stroll. I came here to get caffeinated before my Elite event and of course to knock off a list under my 100 coffee shops in 52 weeks challenge. In fact this was one of the 2 coffee shops that I visited on this run. I also wanted to work on my art project for a bit as my cousin Nila is getting married, therefore, needed some time to finish making her card. Some jackass was using the plug for his laptop even though it was fully charged, however, with some convincing was able to negotiate using a plug for my glue gun. There is tons of space over looking the awesome scenary. I had a London fog which tasted okay. Price was $$$ for a small and so was the customer service. They charged me a $1 for almond milk?
